When I was about 7 or 8, my daddy played American Idiot all through driving me to school on the morning. At around ages 9-10 I didn't really listen to music, but one day I saw (I think it was) the music video for Wake Me Up When September Ends, and I imediately looked it up on Youtube and found out who Green Day was, and since then, I've stolen all my dad's CD's, bought about 5 different t-shirts, and bugged just anyone that hates on them:3

Like I've said previously, I first heard and literally stopped dead in my tracks to listen to Green Day back in 2000, when I was 11. Minority is to this day my favourite song by them. I was practically doomed to grow up to be a punk rocker, as my dad loved The Sex Pistols, and my mom loved The Clash and Billy Idol. This brought me to listen to and love bands like The Ramones and The Misfits. But I digress...
One of my greatest shames in life is that I still haven't seen Green Day live. It's a travesty! XP But I swear it will happen, and when it does I probably will become one of those fans who'll travel across seas to see them again.

As a tiny kid, my parents were into music, and sometimes they would play Dookie in the car. I forgot about them.
Until a friend brought his MP3 player to school and made me listen to "Minority."
My mom found our old Dookie CD afterwards, and I soon got 21st Century Breakdown and American Idiot.

I have been listening since I was 7... That was 12 years ago. The first song I heard was I believe Minority. when I got my ipod shuffle I had all Green Day.I had no idea who it was.In later years,I went over to a friends and heard Good Riddance(time of your life). Immediately I asked him to scroll around the CD(International super hits i think it was).I heard stuff that I hadn't heard since I was seven! Basket case,GR, all that good stuff!!! And so that my friends is what led me to get every CD of theirs.I only need 3 more!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been listening to Green Day for about a year. My dad listens to 40s and my mom and sister listen to country, which both drive me crazy, so I started looking for my own bands to listen to... and found Green Day! (listening to Letterbomb as I type this)
