Refia the Rabbit
"I was walking about,but then...,"she pointed out the forest burnt around the crater,"Right now I'm a lost puppy in this world as well.Vanilla and Cream were nice enough to take me in.Why don't we head over.Plus you can get some rest and hopefully regain some of your memory,but don't get confident.......I...can't remember....mine....,"She teared up a bit and she wiped her tears,"Sorry.I can get a bit sentimental at times as memories sweep in.I can't remember what happened to me before my death...."

Blinking, he listened to her comments, his eyes widening a bit at the mention of 'her death'. Of course, looking over her again, he expected that she was only standing now because of the mechanical parts of her body. Poor girl... what cruel fate had fallen upon her so hard?
"I... I see..." he said gently before placing a hand on her head lightly. "Alright, I'll follow you to this place. Perhaps they will also be able to shed more light into where I am."

".....thank you...,but I need some time to calm down......"She sat down and wiped some tears and took time to calm down."I'm sorry.....I can get a bit sentimental.....alright..."She got back up and wiped what was left of her tears."Let's go."She started to head down the path and Wave followed.

Listening to Refia, Wave nodded gently to her. He understood that she needed time to recover from this strange event, as it reminded him of someone he knew. When she was ready, he nodded back to her and followed her down the path.

"Wave.Do you remember your parents?I don't remember mine.When I was given a new life,I couldn't remember my past before Eggman killed me.Then I was a new person.I still don't know who saved my life,but I'm guessing Eggman must of felt sorry,but it doesn't seem like him.Eggman.The evil that flows in this land.I mean sure he's an incompitent genius,but he still can be dangerous.Sonic is constantly taking him down and he gets back up.Ever since they have been kind to me and they don't even know where I'm from.Knuckles still can't trust me,but everyone is giving me a chance.Sorry.I can ramble sometimes too.We should be getting close to Vanilla and Cream's place here soon.I know you must be new and may need to know some things.Since your well mannered,that shouldn't be to much of a problem.I'm fairly new here too,but if there's anything you would like to know,let me know and I'll try to give you the best answer I can."

As they walked on, Wave listened to Refia's talk though it was a bit hard to follow. This was simply because his mind had set itself on the question of his parents and he tried to remember them. ...Nothing. What the hell? He knew himself, that much was for sure. But... why was everything else a blank? He didn't know, but something had happened before he arrived that caused him to lose a good chunk of his memories. What... happened... to me...
Snapping back to reality when he heard the end of Refia's ramble, Wave nodded and said, "Uh, sure. The first thing I need to know, I'll ask you for advice."

She looked at Wave with concern and continued walking then said,"I'm sure you'll remember sooner or later.I even had to wait awhile too and I still don't remember my past.I just remember my death.We're almost there.Vanilla and Cream are very formal so be sure to treat them the same,okay?"

Hearing Refia's next set of comments, he nodded before stating, "Of course, I'll be on my best manners for them."
Reexamining himself, Wave could almost feel that his state of amnesia, if you would call it that, wasn't that bad. Memories were there, though they simply seemed scattered and hard to read. Refia, on the other hand, actually didn't recall things, which was what really concerned him. Hopefully, it wouldn't be too hard for her to regain herself completely either.

She knocked on the door."Wave.I must ask,but....are your memories shattered?Shattered memories can slowly repair themselves,but you may find out something that you never knew and you may not like it.Before we enter,I need to ask something else of you.A favor.You may not like it,but here me out.In my past...a very dark past,I was a vampire I guess you could say and the feeding of blood is my survival.Vanilla and Cream were nice enough to lend,but they end up severly injured and I have to take care of them.The more people I can depend on,The less blood needed to be drawn from everyone,but all together a get my feedings.That's how I was nursed back to health.They saw my instinct was going for her wounds so they helped me since and I ask if you do the same for me.You don't have to and I'll let you think it through,but I would like to know A.S.A.P. Will you think about it?"
Vanilla came to the door."Glad to see your back,Refia."
"Nice to see you too,Vanilla."
"Who's this?"
"Someone in need.His name is Wave Balker and he can't remember his past to well."
"Is he...?"
"No.Just me."
"Is he willing...."
"Not sure,but let's let that aside and let's try to help him."
"Very well.He can stay,but he'll have to share your room."
Refia was a little shocked and wasn't sure about the idea,but he needs help.
"Alright."Refia entered the house."Come in,Wave.You need to rest."

Wave blinked for a moment as Refia spoke about his mind being shattered. Shattered... It was a possibility. After all, he remembered some definitive things about himself and others, but there were 'cracks', if you will, within his memories.
Of course, this whole train of thought was disrupted as soon as she had mentioned that she was, in a literal sense, a vampire in the past. Blinking with a bit of more concern in his eyes, he listened to her spill about the 'condition' and how these two he would be meeting had provided her with sustenance. The fact that she was asking him this meant something, but the ideal of it escaped his mind at the time.
Before he had time to truly answer her, the two were greeted by the one named Vanilla. Listening to the two speak, he waited until he was allowed inside before giving a gracious bow to Vanilla. Entering inside, he took the first few moments to look around the place for politeness sake.

"Alright and get washed up.I cooked up a nice cake for your sweet tooth."
"Thanks!"
"So your name is Wave.I don't recall ever hearing a name like that.It's good to meet you,Wave.Just out of curiousity,do you know her condition?"Vanilla says closing the door.

"I don't think I've seen you around here either,"Vanilla says trying to identify him,"but I have heard the name Wave before."she turned around and went to set the table,"Your welcome to join us if you want.You must be famished.You may not see Refia down here till dessert though.See has a sweet tooth and it helps calm down her blood craving.I don't know how it works,but it does.I'm guessing Refia told you.She's very cautious and wants everyone to know her problem.She fears she may loose control of it so in a way,her fear is herself.I'm sorry if this is scaring you,but she requires that everyone knows.Refia should be kind enough to tell you anything you wish to know about her,but only to the best of her knowledge.You see,about a month ago,Cream found her laying in a flower patch and she was worried and came to me to see her.The flower bed was like a death bed.Someone laid her their to lie in peace.Me and Cream paid our respects and we would do for about an hour.We did it for a few days and when we came back,she was up and moving and we saw she had a mecanical left eye and mecanical right arm.We were a bit scared and Cream thought she may be a zombie,but she was full of life,but when we met her and got to know her,she couldn't remember anything.Not even her name.Poor girl was like a zombie for a few days.She couldn't speak,but we took care of her.I ended up accidently cutting myself and she reacted and Cream pulled her off and fought her,but after she got up ready to fight Cream,she spoke.She said,"Back away.My crimson wings are back and ready to kill."Cream took a good beating,but she was persistant.She was getting sick of her being in the way,a tail came out of her and was going to pierce her,but luckly Vector came and took her out.We didn't think it would be best,but for protection Vector had her chained outside and Vector sat there with her and after hours of trying to break free,she got tired and over time,spoke with Vector.Vector spoke with her and learned why she attacked me.It was for survival and when she drank my blood,her body regained energy and was able to speak.Vector tried to help her remember things and over a week,she remembered her name.She remembered the last part of her memory before she died.She couldn't make it out,but she remembers Eggman who shot her and tried to help her,but a older rabbit came in and said her name.Appartently he knew her and another older rabbit,female,came to stop him.He was trying to kill Eggman.She doesn't know for sure,but she believes it may be her parents.Next thing she knew,she woke up in the Chao Gardens.In order for her survive,she needs to feed.Me and Vector had to keep her full and Cream ended up takeing care of all of us.Cream made a nice cake when Amy came over and yet Vector had her on a chain.A chain leesh,but when Refia got a taste,her feeding decreased and she calmed down.If her feeding was growing,a sweet candy or dessert will work,but there are times where it's really bad and we have to feed her some blood.Be kind to her,even if she becomes a demon.You can't fight fire with fire.You do,it get's worst.Anyways,we'll try to help you regain your memories.Let's just hope they are not shattered memories.Wave.Do you mind getting Refia?Refia is still kind enough to come to the table even though she doesn't eat anything,but sweets.It's actually a bit bad to eat just sweets,but her body works differently than ours."
"You might want to also wash up,Wave.Mom likes it better when we're clean.Plus washing your hands is being genorous."Cream says wispering."
"I heard you,Cream."
"Sorry,mom"
"It's okay,but she's right.You can go get washed,but wait for Refia.She's upstairs now.Another thing,I shouldn't need to tell you,but remember to knock.Refia isn't in the best mood when privacy is broken.She's full of secret's,but who isn't."
"The table is almost ready,Wave.Why don't you see how Refia is doing and on your way,Cheese is in my room so do you mind sending him down?"

Although he was silent and tried his best to paid attention, Wave found it difficult to absorb all of the information that Vanilla had given him there. For a moment, his face was blank as his mind tried to catch up in its mental calculations. Who were these people by the name of Vector, Eggman, and Amy? How was it possible that there was such a thing as a vampire in this world? And what did happen to Refia? Many questions to which answers were not so easily obtained...
Hearing Vanilla ask him to go check up on Refia, Wave snapped out of his trance and nodded, "Sure, I can do that."
When Cream whispered into his ear, Wave nearly jumped back in surprise. Where the heck did she come from? He hadn't even noticed her... Thankfully, he had managed to keep himself on the ground, as not to scare Cream away or anything. Now hearing the little conversation the two were having, Wave made a mental checklist in his mind:
1: Go check on Refia, make sure to knock on door first.
2: Wash up.
3: Send 'Cheese' down.
Nodding in his head once he had it down, Wave then said, "Alright, got it. I'll go check on her now." With that, he turned and walked to the stairs leading up. Once he reached the top, he realized that they had forgotten to tell him which room was Refia's. So, he moved among the doors, knocking on each one to see if there was a reply.

Refia opened the door and saw Wave going down the hall knocking on the doors.She was well dressed in a cherry red dress and started down the hall towards Wave."You lost?"
Cream was setting the rest of the dinner and Vanilla opened the oven and took out a batch of chocolate chip cookies."Mom."
"What is it,Cream?"
"What is a shattered memory?"
She got the cookies out and set it on the counter to cool and she was silent for a bit and then spoke,"A shattered memory is when you can remember someting,but not in order."
"Why is it so bad?"
"A shattered memory can break apart even more over time or you'll remember something that can change your life and it is usually bad."
"Why?"
"If you remember something you once knew,it can change you.For the better or worse,but sometimes it's so bad that it can kill the person inside."
"Kill a person inside?"
"If the person dies inside,they change their personality or shatter their lives and can lead to death because it hurts inside and some people choose to escape by killing themselves."
"Why would a person do such a thing!?"
She was quiet again for a bit then spoke,"Sometimes people can't stand the pain.Sometimes it takes them to a new chaotic world and they will die."
"There is a chaotic world?"
"Remember?"
"Refia...."
"That's right.That dark power is growing.We can only hope it can be fixed before she looses herself."
"Mabye they'll be able to help eachother."
"I hope so."
"I hope they do.Mom."
"Yes?"
"How do you know about shattered memories?"Vanilla was quiet."You mean....!?"She nodded.
"It was a long time ago.I don't want to talk about it."It was quiet for awhile."Cheer up,Cream.Things change and hopefully for the better.You brightened my life,perhaps Refia will brighten up his."
"And the other way around?"
"Yes."
Cream thought to herself."Has there ever been a cross-breed?"
"Not the thing to bring up now,Cream."
"Sorry."
"I understand your curious,but there is a time for everything."
"Understood."
"I know what your trying to imply and if that ever happens,that is their choice."
"Will it?"
"Can't answear for them.We can only find out.Where are they?Refia may be taking her time."
"Yeah.Want be to check on them?"
"Wait a little longer."
"Okay.Anything else needed to be set?"
"I think we have everything.Refia!Wave!Dinner is ready!"
