"Nothing, maybe I'll tell you later," Luka said, and changed the topic. "Do you know what building your dorm is in?" The dorms were more like apartments, really.

"Yes." Ariane said, looking at her hand. "I'm room 2B in the first building." She showed Luka her hand, and smiled guiltily. "The hand never lies."

"I'm in room 4D in the same building," he said, smiling. "I'm the RA for that building, but I don't do s**t." Luka stood up, stretching. With his boots on, his hand scraped the ceiling when he stretched. "If you have any problems, go to the girl next door to you, she's actually allowed in your room." Like in the Hogwarts dorms, girls were allowed in the boy's dorms but not the other way around---a concept no one really understood but obeyed with no problems. "Are you almost done?"

Ariane wrote a few more words. "I'm finished." Suddenly, she didnt want him to leave. "Can you show me around the rest of the school?"

"Of course, that's my job," Luka said, grinning and holding out a hand. "They pay me in cookies, you know." He didn't technically have to eat, but he liked cookies. Everyone knew he'd do just about anything for them.

Ariane took his hand, and the shock returned, though a lot better than it had been. "I want a cookie." She grumbled.

Luka reached into his sweatshirt pocket and pulled out a bag of chocolate-chip and butterscotch cookies. "Never leave home without them, help yourself," He said, grinning. "I've got about five more dozen at home from my last job, so have at." His last job was stealing cats from an abusive owner for the vet-tech program to practice taking blood and giving shots. He'd received a dozen for each cat.

Lukas put the cookies back in his pocket. "Um, I could introduce you to my baby," he said, happily. He'd taken one of the cats as his own, a small russian-blue kitten he'd named Jesu. (jez-oo) "You'll love her, she's so tiny and cute." Luka led her to the small square cabin-like building.

Ariane smiled, she loved cats. She looked at the building in front of her. "So this is the dorms?"

"Well, it's her dorm, you could say." Luka said, unlocking the door. "Jesuuuu~!" He said, dragging Arianne into the dark building with him, slamming his fist into the light switch. Lights flickered on and he went into the back room, unlocking the cage to his kitten, who immediately started purring loudly. "Isn't she adorableeee?" Luka said, holding the kitten out to Ariane.

Ariane smiled, and petted the cat. "Shes so SOFT!" Ariane looked around. "Why dont you keep her in your dorm with you?"

"They won't let me until she's 4 months old, and right now she's only 7 weeks. They have to give her shots and everything, which is why they made me grab her and her friends." Luka explained, eyes lit up. "But then I get to keep her, and they'll treat her for free." He didn't really want to go into the specifics of how he'd obtained the six cats, for fear of her rejecting him.

"You know it's a holiday, right? National skip day." Lukas said, grinning mischievously. "You won't get in trouble for it, I'm close with the higher ups." He had, after all, been here for about ten years. He put Jesu back into her cage, stirring her food to distract her as he shut the cage. "What class is it?" They wouldn't have any classes together, considering he had only art classes this year, being that this was his second senior year (he had chosen to fail), but he still wanted to know.
