Go on in. It's quite pretty. I think you'll like it." He settled back down in the sand, tail waving a bit as he yawned absently. Karver thought he saw a blush from her a few minutes ago, but was probably wrong. Her fur was all pink; it was probably just a highlight. Sighing softly, Karver let the wind caress his fur slightly wishing for a way to tell Hope how he felt. He was quite scared actually and never wanted to admit it.

'kay *she nodded and went over to the opening of the came. She didn't go in, but did stick her head in and looked around, noting a spot she found that she would call her bed. It was a snug little place in the corner of the came, on top of a rock that had just enough room between the rock and the ceiling to make a confortable place to sleep. either that, or to hide extra food that was gathered on hunts, she had yet to decide which. Once satified with her around-lookings, she pulled her head out.* Quite nice ^^ *Hope noted Karvers un-ease, so she went over beside him and nudged him playfully with her head, and gave a pretty smile. Hope knew that the journey had been tireing on both of them, but even so, she wanted him to be his usual happy self.* Cheer up. If there's anything botherin' you, ya can talk t'me,...

He nodded over to her and smiled. "Yea, I know I can tell you anything, Hope. I'm just...tired that's all." He gave her one of his goofy smiles nudging her head softly. "Alright, time to hunt." The lion stretched then looked over at Hope. "You coming, or you wanna stay home?" The word flowed from his tongue so easily it scared him. Karver knew that after a while he would have to go back to Moyo's pride to see how things were. He wondered how the others were taking it. Particularly Akintunde.

He nods slowly then pads out toward the deeper part of the Oasis. He kept quiet sniffing the air for any possible prey. "Hmmm..I wonder what kind of creatures dwell here in the Oasis..we might have to go back out to the grasslands to hunt, Hope." His tail waved slightly as he looked back at her.

Most prey in the Oasis stay near the river,...and most of it is fish and the like. Every so often there are various hoofed animals that will be along the border, but I don't really know much elese, unless you feel like fruit? ^^: *she offered that bit of information. Truely, that was all the prey she could think of. Fishing she could do, she had the patience, plus it wasn't as messy, but she also knew that karver was tired, as was she, and that they couldn't afford to wait as long as It would take. Hope was at a loss*

"Alright. I'll check out the lake. If there's nothing there, we'll just fish. I'm a bit too tired to go out into the grasslands tonight." He smiled over at Hope and nudged her cheek with his purring; his way of saying thank you for the information. Walking onward, he stopped short of the lake and crouched downward in the brush. His eyes scanned its banks finding some prey. A few gazelles and two zebras was on tonight's dinner menu. Just which one to go for was the question. Karver would have to watch them carefully for any signs of wounded or old animals.

Be right behind you. *She said and returned his nudge with a quick lick on the cheek. She followed him quietly to the lake, and crouched down nezt to him once there. She, too, started scouting for the easiest prey.

Karver smirked noticing one of the zebras was a lame. It's left foot was dragging against the ground, an obvious birth defect. "Alright..the zebra to the left...that's our target Hope. If you can direct it to me, I'll bring it down easy..got it?" The King looked over at the pink lioness smiling. They would have a full dinner tonight.

((Hey, Mysti, did ya get the Kitsune Bi V-day thing I got ya? I think you'll like the resulted kitsune ^.^ ))
*Hope nodded* Kay, gotcha,.. *she grinned and began to stalk her way around behind the Zebra. She crouched bown behind a boulder that was at least four feet from thier prey. With a swift sudden lunge, she went at the lame zebra. Scared, the zebra reared, and headed straight for Karver, it's bad leg slowing it, so that Hope didn't even have to run at full speed, however she did have to lunge to keep the zebra on course.* Get'im,..

He nods and at the right moment, lunges suddenly for the beast. He roars loudly, fangs bared and claws extended. Karver lands on the zebra's neck making it fall to its side. The lion digs his claws into the neck and bites down on the windpipe suffocating the beast slowly. Soon, the lame zebra stops breathing and goes still. He begins to eat at the belly taking his filly. Looking up at Hope, he smiles. "You can come eat now. I wouldn't mind you eating with me. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be having this." Karver then digs his maw into the belly of the dead animal again eating more of his fill.

*Hope waited patienly, till Karver spoke to her* Your the one that scouted it out, but if you insist,.. *She grinned, her stomach growling and empty. She went over and dug into the shoulder of the Zebra, and ate. She was soon done, and sat up, beginning to was the blood off of herself.*

After some heavy eating, he finished licking the bones of the ribs, his teeth cracking it slightly. Finishing, he stepped over to the lake and began to wash off. Looking over at Hope, he grinned. "Go on ahead to the cave. I'll bring the rest of the meat with me. I know you hate getting dirty." Karver trotted over to her and nudged her softly letting his snout linger on her cheek a bit.
