you know there is one way you can get Metallica into your favorite video game... well... i don't know if you heard about this but if you hook up the audio feeds into a sterio that has the option on it you can fade your music that you are listening to into the game, and all you have to do is take the original music that comes with the game and turn it off and there you go... Metallica in your favorite video game!
I used to do that untill I got more into my music setup.

My entire system in my whole upstairs (all 3 rooms, as well as the bathroom) all work off a single surround sound DTS system, which in the end, all work off fiber optic and coaxial inputs.

DVD player is hooked up through fiber optic, and Gamecube and whatnot all run through the aux. inputs on the reciever, giving me the option to set the sound to just what comes through the dvd player (so I can listen to music while playing), only the aux inputs, which would be just the game sounds, or a mix of both.

Its fun to listen to Fight Fire With Fire when playing Halo2. =)
