Bandai Visual's site put up a listing for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny Special Edition: The Broken World, which goes on sale May 26th.
And returning once again to the rumor mill, a post on 2ch contained what appears to be a copy & paste of a sales solicitation for the Destiny Special Edition stating that the Destiny SE's will be 4-parts rather than the traditional 3 for Gundam compilations. Also mentioned is that the Special Edition will be broadcast on TV sometime this Spring. But the bigger potential news is the following detail: "The SEED boom heats up! OVA 'Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Stargazer (tentative title)' currently being planned!" So, in other words, Seed Destiny is getting a 4-movie compilation (direct to video, it seems) - as well as what seems to be an OAV as well. Here's hoping that Morosawa doesn't get to touch these. Doesn't sound like a name for a Gundam series, but looks like there's no Fukuda/Morosawa influence so that's good. It's not Astray but it'll still be something different from the main storyline. I for one would like to see Astray animated, but I don't see it happening anytime soon (just like Crossbone Gundam). I just hope that if/when there is a sequel, it'd bring better closure than Destiny did (even Final Plus was half-assed). As for making the SE from Athrun's POV...that's already been done in the form of the GSD: The Edge Manga.

It will first appear at Shizuoka Hobby Show in May Staff: - Director: Susumu Nishizawa - Script: Shigeru Morita - Character Designer: Kenichi Ohnuki 2 main characters: - Sven Cal Bayan: 19 year old male natural. Phantom Pain 2nd Lt. - Selene McGriff: 28 year old female coordinator. One of the researcher of "GSX-401FW Stargazer Project" Main unit: - GAT-X105E Strike Noir - Based on Strike Gundam. (Gunpla version will come out) SEED DESTINY Special Edition - Format: 4 part series with first one airing this Spring in widescreen format. - Story is based on Athrun's point of view. The reason behind this according to Fukuda: if this is done in Kira's POV, Shinn becomes the enemy. If this is done in Shinn's POV, Kira becomes the enemy. Meeting between Kira and Shinn will be brand new animation. Also, some CE 73 ads, with the Strike Noir in the background:

When will it end. scream ARGH!
What's next Athurn's Counterstrike? A full length movie about Athurn throwing a asteriod into earth because he's pissed off that him and Kira are perpetually stuck at the age of 14. The entire time he's manpulaing a young red head girl to fight for him and avenge Cagalli death? But she's not dead because she moved in with Lacus on a chicken farm to get away from the inane angst and waterdowned politics. And every day they are chased by chickens the speak of the ghost of Mu La Flaga. Only to end off with everyone wondering will naturals and corodinaters ever get along?

NewtypeS3 balmonke wait is that series after seed destiny ... Yes. No. It is not after. From what I hear, it is a side story. The pilot of that strike is part of Phantom Pain. Which was NEO's team.
