Ignis rolled his eyes and ignored her comment about him being old, a smirk replacing the scowl as she stomped at him for calling her a squirt again. He chuckled and shook his head, the little filly was sure distractable as hell and he watched the direction the butterfly flew off in with a slight interest before looking back to the wide eyed little girl. "Your face is going to stick like that if you keep it up."

"Nuh uh!" Sallexis started, furrowing her brow at the older male. Her ears then perked as the statement started to sink in. "Are you telling the truth?" she then asked him, almost sheepishly.
She shook her head. "N-nevermind. I don't want to know." she smiled almost nervously.
It was here that she turned to notice the fork in the path and studied both of them equally. "Hmm..." She looked to the left, then the right.... Left, then right again. "I think I'll go this way today..." she nodded then started down the right (directional) path. "C'mon, Een-Yuss!" she giggled cutely.

Ignis had to bite back the laugh that threatened to erupt at her innocent questioning and he managed to just smirk instead, following slowly behind they young filly.
He hadn't spent much time around youngsters, actually this was the first time he'd actually interacted with one and it was proving to be more interesting than he thought it would be, and slightly less boring than he thought it would be. Though he was still only following the girl around out of some absurd sense of duty at not letting a foal fall into harms way.
His ears pricked forwards as he girlish giggle broke him from his musings and his gaze moved down the path she had chosen. Looked clear enough. "Yeah I'm coming." he grumped out.

"Oh! Een-Yuss! Look!!" she bounded a bit towards a log and then froze, seeming to keep her eyes fixed on a long scaly looking thing sticking out the hole in the side of it. She faintly giggled then turned her head to look at him with a mischievous grin. "I bet it's a snake!" she whispered excitedly then lifted her hoof.
She seemed to mentally dare herself, toying with the idea of touching the long scaly thing with her hoof until it twitched and slipped into the darkness of the log. Sallexis took this moment to yell out in her surprise and quickly bound around to stand behind Ignis. Her head soon peered out from behind his legs. "I-Is it gone?" she asked, looking everywhere around the log from her position for anything else that looked similar.

Ignis chuckled finally, smirk on his face as she darted behind him, head turned to look at her with a mischievous smile. "Is what gone? You mean that thing behind you?" he teased a bit.

Sallexis let out a surprised "EEK!" and jumped, spinning around in place to look in panic at the area behind her. It took her a moment but she quickly found her angry frown and directed it towards Ignis.
"Very funny, Een-Yuss!" she snorted and thrusted her tongue out at him in her frustration. She strutted back over to the log and peered back into the hole. His teasing seeming to have sparked a fire of determination under her tail as she now appeared fearless in her actions.
"Hello...?" she queried, peering into it. "Helllloooooo...?" Her muzzle soon pushed into the hole - thankfully for her, it was more than big enough for her head to not get stuck.As Sallexis was shoving her nose into the log, a lizard slowly ambled its way from the end of the log to take a much better look at the thing that decided to clog up the hole to her home. She saw the two larger creatures - one relatively smaller and finding a fascination with her home - the other... not so much. He seemed to be enjoying the comedic scene the whelp continued to play upon. She cleared her throat softly as she gave the appearance of sitting - quite elegantly, I might add - upon her haunches and waited to be noticed.

Ignis snorted a bit, amused and tilted his head as the filly moved forwards and shoved her nose in the hole, face becoming nonchalantly concerned. The thing she saw very well could have been a poisonous snake and a filly her size could get very sick fro a bite, so he moved forwards and looked at her. "Your going to get your head stuck in there." he said gruffly, head turning at the sound and observing a lizard with a raised eyebrow. "Sallexis, there is a lizard behind you." he said completely serious this time.

"Nuh uh!" she snorted again and pulled her head back to show him. "See? I'm not stuck at all!" She smiled playfully at him for the moment.
When he made the comment about the lizard, she snorted again and furrowed her brow. "I'm not falling for that one again, Een-Yuss..." she grunted and turned, ready to journey further along the path and explore something else. The creature - whatever it was - was no longer in the log. Perhaps she had ima--.........
Sallexis froze, her entire body rigid as she very nearly stepped upon a lizard. Her eyes were wide and clearly focused upon the scaled creature, though she was very much so powerless to move even her nostrils to breathe. She remained frozen like this, scared beyond anything she could ever imagine, for a short bit.
The lizard, however, merely raised a brow at the odd action. Once it was clear that the foal was too scared to move, she sighed and shook her head, moving out of the way of the young foal's path. She then looked up to the large Stallion and tilted her head.
"Where is it that you are taking her, strange one?" she asked curiously. The truth was, this lizard had seen this little foal wandering about before - often to be found and scolded by the same two males at least twice each. This new Stallion, however, he was a new face. Lizibee, as her name so cleverly had been her entire existence, had moved her location a few times to avoid being trampled on a few times by the unknowingly careless filly.
Perhaps her spirits were trying to tell her something...?
That didn't matter at the moment. This young girl was far from her home and - given their current path of direction - they were slowly wandering farther from it.

Ignis blinked at the sudden frozen state of the filly and muttered under his breath. "If I'd have known that was all it took to get her to sit still..." he snorted a bit, looking at the lizard as it spoke, brow raised.
"I'm taking her no where, merely following her to make sure she doesn't run into trouble." he said, giving the filly a nudge to snap her out of her frozen state.
