Morgan nodded, throwing a curious glance at the captain.
"I'll go try to clean up my sister then. She'll be able to come, right?" she asked, pausing in her turn towards the doorway.

"Of course. I see no reason why she wouldn't be." Asmaria said. "And besides, I like children." she said.

Morgan nodded, then turned back towards the doorway and exited the room, walking down the long corridors and hallways back towards her room where Briallen was still glued to the window and the firey gas cloud that made up the Cone Nebula.
"Come on, Bri," Morgan said, resting a hand on her sister's shoulder and pulling her gently away from the window. "We have to get ready to go down to the planet." Briallen glanced up at Morgan with a curious expression, then turned back to the window, craning her neck to see the turquoise planet below them. Once she saw it, she looked back up at Morgan. "Yes, that one. Come on. We have to make a good impression on the inhabitants."

"Computer. Land on the planet, preferably in an open area. We don't want to destroy any of their buildings." Asmaria said.

Many parsecs away inside of the Metan warship Lenor, a tall Metan stood confidently, observing his subordinates scurrying to prepare for the upcoming battle. The Metan smirked cruely, imagining the harvest he would soon reap. The invasion of the Orinian homeworld was his idea, one that would cause him to rise yet higher in rank when it succeeded. And of course it would succeed. It was, after all, his idea.
'General Ba'jret! Preperations are 53% complete for the beginning of the invasion! The other warships are on their way!' cried Ailnn, the aged captain of the ship. His voice was low and gravelly, making it difficult to understand the Metan words he spoke.
The newly identified Ba'jret turned. 'Excellent, Captain. Is there anything else to report?' he said, speech flowing freely from his educated mouth.
'Y-Yes sir.. Yuuath of the Metan High Council is hailing us. Shall I put him on the m-main viewscreen?' Ailnn stuttered, in shocked awe of one of the legends of his childhood.
'Of course, you fool!' Ba'jret snapped, irritated. The picture of Yuuath instantly appeared in front of him, smiling wryly.
'Ba'jret.'
'Father.'
'It's good to see you again, son. But this is not a friendly contact. We've receieved word that one of the Humans ships escaped destruction and heading towards Orin as we speak.'
Ba'jret's lip curled downwards. 'Insolent humans..' he murmured. 'Why can't they just give up?' He sighed and continued, louder, 'What are my instructions?'
'Begin the invasion early. Destroy them all.'
Ba'jret smirked as a wave of pride for his mellkof washed over him. 'With pleasure.'
Yuuath returned the smirk and the screen flickered to black.
Ba'jret turned to his crew. 'You heard him! Back to work! Redouble your efforts! We have work to do!' A cry of affirmation tore throughout the bridge as the Metans went back to their posts, patriotism flowing freely.

((And now, for the cheesy alien-invasion-style landing of the human ship!))
The Excalibur came in for a landing in a large field, steam hissing as the landing legs shot out, touching down on the grassy, yellowish-green field. As this happened, a ramp came down from the ship, a vertical door opening at the top of it like some great maw. A harsh light bled out from inside, and as Asmaria stepped towards the top of the ramp, she was sillouetted by the light coming from behind her. Asmaria stepped onto the ramp and began to walk down slowly, her sillouette becoming more defined as she stepped away from the harsh light and into the light of the planet's blue sun. Asmaria walked fully into the blue light, and the Orinians that had witnessed the landing gasped. "What happened to her ears? They're so short!" one said. "And her hair is only half as long as it should be. It should sweep the ground when she walks!" another said, this one obviously female. "And why does she have it tied back and braided? Is she a prisoner or some kind of slave?" another asked. "These people have slaves? That's just barbaric!" the first said. Asmaria heard none of this, as she was still making her way down the ramp.

Twenty minutes later, Morgan was assisting Bri out of the tub and hanging a towel around the young girl's shoulders.
"I'm not sure what the weather's gonna be like down there. I should've asked." Morgan pondered over this for a moment or two, then got up to look back down at the planet outside her window. They'd descended pretty quickly and were likely already within Orin's atmosphere. I should go ask; don't wanna be too hot or too cold. "Bri," Morgan called out, and Briallen poked her head out from the bathroom. "I'll be right back. Stay here, okay?" Briallen nodded, then slipped back into the bathroom as Morgan left her room again to go talk to Asmaria. She hadn't moved, but she looked thoughtful in Morgan's opinion. "Um, excuse me," Morgan said, hoping she wasn't being obnoxious. "Curious about the weather. What should we wear?"

Asmaria looked back toward the top of the ramp, where Morgan now stood, asking about the weather. "It's beautiful. Why don't you come on out as you are?" Asmaria asked, waving her hand through the blue sunlight.

"Oh ..." She peered out past Asmaria and smiled. "I have to go get my sister. I'll be right back." She turned and set off at a jog back to her room, then slipped her sister into a cute pleated denim skirt and pink t-shirt, and white tennis shoes. Morgan stayed dressed the way she was; she figured she didn't have time to change. "Come on, Bri." Briallen gave her hand to Morgan, and Morgan proceeded to nearly drag her down the corridors to where Asmaria was waiting. "Here we are." Morgan gave a shy grin, and Briallen let out a soft sigh.

Asmaria continued down the ramp, and the rest of the crew and the colonists followed. As they came down the ramp, the Orinians gathered around the landing site gasped at the many different clothes they wore. Asmaria noticed this, but ignored it. There were bound to be differences in the two cultures. After all, they were from two completely different planets. Asmaria was the first human to set foot on the grassy field.

Coren approached the earthling, sweeping her silver hair back as she walked. She looked up at the strange creature with short hair and tiny ears, hoping to bring help to these poor people as they bring help to the impending problem in the heavens. She smiled at the creatures and began speaking in unversal basic, or the earthling language, as it was very simple to learn and very harsh and basic, it was used all around the universe for trade, so people in government spoke it almost everyday.
"Greetings, my name is Coren, I am a high council member. I will help you in your stay here on Orin. We bring peace and kindness to your existence, and please note that we do not partake in violence."

((Sorry I've been gone for so long. Coren's right, Ravenshroud, you need to PM me with your character profile, though with your inability to read the rules, it's doubtful that I'll accept you. You'd better pray that I am in a really good mood when I read your message.)) Asmaria looked at the Orinian High Councilwoman. She bowed her head low, as was Earth custom when in the presence of someone of a high position in the government. "Greetings, Coren. I am Asmaria Moon, Lieutenant of the Excalibur. We also come in peace and kindness, and the only violence will be directed towards those that wish your planet destroyed, those who destroyed our planet." Asmaria said.
