Blinking as Lizzy patted him on the head, Jericho soon let out a chuckle and grinned.
"Hopefully that worked," he said before pausing at the question.
"I had a group at home that I played with. I actually haven't really been able to play since coming here. I hear there's a D&H club around but I hadn't been able to find them," he sighed, "I've done some one shot campaigns here and there but nothing that lasted longer."

"It better! Although... I guess... I might laugh if I roll a 1 the next time I'm asked to roll for something," She almost winced at the idea before chewing on her lower lip thoughtfully. Tapping on her chin with a finger while still holding onto Jericho's wrist with her other hand (she was totally not taking advantage of him), Lizzy smiled sheepishly, "Do you have a... What was it called again? Ah, a d20 I could borrow by any chance?"
She was sure he had one. Or two. Maybe even a dozen, seeing how he even brought one to the Scarentine Party and how it was part of his FEAR.
"Ohh... There is! Its a shame you can't find them though...Well you can sign me up for any future games, even if I'm not very good at it. Yet." She nodded; hopefully she didn't sound too eager. She blinked, however, at his next comment, "A one shot campaign? What's that?"

Oh Jericho had many d20's. He had many dice in general. However... he was rather possessive of his belongings. And the question presented put him in a rather awkward position. Internally he was practically screaming 'no! My dice!' while a sliver of him was saying he should be nice to friends.
It was his stuff. His treasure. His dice.
But... friends.
"Um... ah...."
Oh how he was conflicted now. So he decided to wave off the question in the meantime and address the other questions Lizzy had asked. Yes. It would be better to not answer that other one.
"Oh! Ok. I'll keep that in mind. A one shot-campaign is basically what it sounds like. Most campaigns last a long time and require multiple sessions to complete. A one-shot would just last for one session and be finished."

If only Lizzy knew what Jericho was thinking. She might go emo in a corner for being less important than dice; thankfully, she was no mind reader and continued to stare up at the dragon while waiting for an answer. Her expression was slowly going from a frowning face to a doe-eyed one, however, as time went on.
Oh look! A distraction!
"Ohhh," She replied with a nod, showing that she understood, "And how long do these one shot campaigns last?" She wondered if what Riley did with her was considered a one shot.

"They usually just last for a few hours," Jericho replied, "Kinda the typical amount of time for a regular session. It's just that the story won't continue on the next time you meet up to do another one."
Pausing there, he thought on it a bit before explaining further.
"Usually for a longer campaign, you'd meet up several times. Some are shorter than others, but when a session ends, it's like doing a save and quit for the game. The next time you meet up, you start where you left off with the same characters you had," he nodded.

"Ohh," At least it sounded like she understood his explanation, although judging from her expression, more questions were about to follow, "Does that mean the story must be finished within that session itself? What if... What if its unfinished?" That would be like reading a book halfway in and then losing it; not knowing the ending to a story is torture to her. She'll probably be up all night thinking of the possibilities...
Oh wait. She had asked for something just now... What was it... Oh right, dice.
"Are dice part of your treasure?" An indirect way of asking, perhaps, but after seeing the Astra incident, she could only conclude that dragons must really, really like their treasure. While part of her felt a little... Upset? Jealous? That Riley seem to be trusted with said treasure, she figured that's one more reason to add to her list of reasons as to why 'This will not work'.

Thinking on that one for a bit, Jericho soon shook his head.
"That kinda depends. Sometimes the session ends when all the characters die. If it has to be cut short for any other reason, it usually remains unresolved. These one shots are usually designed to be finished in one session though," he explained, "And they usually have a more simple plot anyway."
Nodding at that, he tilted his head as dice were brought up once again.
"..They are," the dragon replied while looking at his separate dice pile.

"Right... I hope I never get in a game where it remains unresolved..." She frowned; that would bother her. A lot. She would rather have to keep play forever than to have it cut short and remaining an unfinished story.
"I figured," She giggled softly at his answer, but there was a distinct hint of disappointment in her voice as she reached out to pat him on his head once more, as if to cover up for that, "I understand..."
Except no. No, she doesn't understand it completely.

"Yeah... those times kinda suck. Even some of the longer ones go unresolved," Jericho frowned recalling the times were a campaign had to be discontinued for one reason or another. It actually happened more times than he cared for really.
Blinking at Lizzy for the moment, he could have sworn he picked up on something like disappointment in her voice. He had said something wrong hadn't he? A part of him felt bad, but he was just pretty damn possessive of his belongings. It was a tricky thing for him to lend out his treasures in most cases, especially if friends were involved.

"What? Really? That's kind of... Disappointing," She nodded with a frown as she continued to pat Jericho on his head. Was his hair always this fluffy? Odd. 'Disappointing' could just about describe how she felt about the situation at the moment... It was made worse by the fact that she had seen him make exceptions for one person.
Pausing, she removed her hand from his wrist and where she had been patting him; she didn't know what she was doing anymore. She stared at the floor like it was the most interesting thing ever before looking up, "Uh, so... I should go?" She shuffled her feet; this whole thing felt like a wasted trip.

"It is.. but there's not much that could be done about it," he said, blinking as she continued to pat him on the head. Jericho was kind of confused and conflicted about this whole situation and it didn't help that Lizzy was thinking of leaving. Somewhere he had botched something up.
"Uh.. only if you want to," he mumbled.

She wanted to say 'I wan to stay' or something along those lines, but she couldn't bring herself to say so. Instead, all she gave Jericho was a doe-eyed expression followed by her face reddening for even thinking that. All the negative feelings faded as she chewed her lower lip nervously, looking away; should she leave? She was kind of... Happy that he didn't say 'yes' to her leaving.
Not thinking clearly (or perhaps it was because she subconsciously missed hugging him), she then decided that the best place to hide her obviously red face was in Jericho's chest, sweaty shirt from workout or not. Wrapping her arms around him, she leaned against his chest. He looked like he needed a hug anyway... Was it her fault?
"I said it before, but you don't suit a face like that..." She practically muttered into his shirt, "You could... Uh, show me more video games? Like a 2-player or something..." That was as far as she could go where 'I want to stay' was concerned.

There was a bit of an awkward silence as Lizzy suddenly gave him big doe-eyes. Jericho didn't know how to take that.. did she want to go or did she want to stay? As he waited for the answer, he just sort of watched and stared at her to see what she would say or do.
He didn't exactly expect her to suddenly bury her face into his chest. The dragon wondered if this could have gotten any more awkward and it did! Tensing up at the sudden and fairly awkward hug, he slowly brought his hands up to pat her lightly on the back. Thankfully, she offered up something that would work nicely as a distraction.
"Ah! Yes. Um... right over this way," he said while motioning over towards the spot where he had his desk. Aside from his computer, it was also where he had his consoles. While he started to head on over there, he was trying to think of what games they could possibly play.
"Uh.. is there a specific genre you have in mind?"

Jericho was not the only one feeling awkward; no sooner did she hug the dragon when she startrd to realize how awkward and embarassing the situation was. However, she didn't let go, but held on, her face still red. Only when she felt him pat her on her back did she look up, just in time to see him motioning towrds his desk; so... He's willing to share his games then? Smiling a little at that, she shugged while still hugging him.
"I... Don't know?" Was the answer, as she frowned slightly, "I trust you to pick something good?" She slowly let him go, stepping to the side before wrapping one arm around his arm; it seemed like she wasn't going to let go of him any time soon.
