Amenophis opened his eyes and smiled up at her. "I have a tremendous amount of feelings for you as well my princess." He remained laying on the grass and winked at her. "You don't have to dream of me, I'll be right here." He told her, he was promising that he wouldn't leave her side, he was worried and wanted her to rest.

Amira suddenly felt her heart skip a beat... "Princess," she though to herself, "I dont deserve that title."
Suddenly she realized what he was saying. He truly did care for her like she had only dreamed of. She had never heard words like that from anyone, let alone some she cared so much for.
She didnt have any words to reply to him, and didnt know how to react. She wanted to show him that she understood and appreciated what he said to her. She decided the best way to do that was to lay down with him and nuzzle.

Amenophis nuzzled her back and enjoyed the way she made him feel. His heart began to beat faster whenever she was close by so naturally his heart was going nuts. But at the same time she made his heart race, she made him relax. It was an entirely odd feeling but he really enjoyed just being around her. "You deserve it because your my princess." He told her and closed his eyes but decided to open one of them and peer at her.

Amira was still speechless, and Amenophis' comment made it even harder for her to think of words. She decided she would just lay there with the stallion and relax next to him.

Amenophis opened both of his eyes and looked at her, watched her as she rested. He really admired her because she could put up with him and his quirks. He knew he wasn't perfect and he really liked the fact that this mare accepted him and liked him for who he is at heart. Its amazing because she seems to bring out the kid in him and it is just another reason he admires her.

Amira began to realize that the stallion was very quiet, just as quiet as she had been. She started to wonder what he was thinking. Did he want to say something but felt he couldn't? She wondered so many things.
As she wonder, she felt her eyelids get heavy. She started drifting into a slumber rest. She had realized that his presence was the one thing that could make her rest easy.

Amenophis knew she was really sleeping when he felt her relax and the tension drifted away. He closed his eyes and figured that he should probably try and sleep to since his dream was beside him. Maybe for once he would dream peacefully again and not have the feeling of being lonely when he woke up.

Amira had fallen into a deeper sleep, comething that she hadn't done the previous night. She subconsciously knew that being next to Amenophis was the reason why she was getting this rest.
Suddenly Amira broke out into a sever sweat. Her eye popped wide open, and she felt herself jump a bit. When she realized that she was awake, she tried catching her breath and slowing her heart rate.

Amenophis felt Amira jump and he made himself wake up, she needed him because something was wrong. His eyes flew open and he got up and began to look around. His eyes scanned every inch of the grass and trees that was around them. Then when he was sure that the area was safe he looked down at her to see what was wrong. He turned his body so that it was protecting her if anything did come and he looked at her closer. "Whats wrong?" He finally decided to ask her because he couldn't figure it out on his own.

Amira tried to calm herself down, but It took many minutes. While she knew this was a nightmare, it always felt so real. It felt like he or she was right there, looking over her.
"Its him.... or her.... again" she said. "I try to get away, but I can't" She knew that Amenophis was looking around to see something physical standing there to harm her. so she decided to clarify. "In my dreams, or nightmares, I have seen it many times. The black shadow, and the glowing red eyes."
Amira started to get upset again, so she paused for a moment to catch her thoughts again.

Amenophis had no idea how to really react to her telling him of her nightmares. He had never had anything like she was describing visit him in his sleep. It was scaring him that she was so upset because of her sleeping. His frown became even larger and his mind just kept going in circles trying to figure out how to make her better. "I'll protect you." It was a promise and to him it was all he could think of to do about the situation.

Amira had calmed down a bit. She still had those disturbing images in her head, but at least she had someone that cared enough to listen and comfort her. "I know' she replied to Amenophis, " And I truly appreciate that. I have never told anyone about these nightmares."
Just as she finished her sentence, the image of this 'nightmare' appeared again. Amira almost lost her footing and fell to the ground. She had never had a flashback of this 'nightmare' while awake. "Whatever this is, its not going to leave me alone."
She staggered closer to Amenophis to try and nuzzle with him.

Amenophis was at a complete lost, his mare was suffering and he still couldn't figure out what to do to help her. He nuzzled her back and began to think harder as to what he could possibly do, he couldn't think of anyone he knew that had nightmares that she was describing. "What can I do?" He was beginning to hate himself and the situation he was in, he felt defeated because there seemed to be no solution that was apparent to him.

After making it back to Amenphis' side, Amira calmed down again. She realized that she was hurting him unintentionally. She knew that he was hurt because he didnt know how to help. his question just moments later would confirm this. Amira felt depressed. She knew that this stallion, one she had only begun to know, cared so deeply for her.
"Just be next to me." she said, "Its all you can do in times like this." She felt the love from him begin to heal her heart and mind, at least for this instance. "Someday I will find out who this is, and why they are haunting me. I need answers, and I hope that we can find them together."
Amira again nuzzled the stallion who she knew would always be beside her. She calmed down, assured that no matter what, he would agree to help her seek out the meaning of this recurring "nightmare"
