irmuska leaned happily into her mother's cuddles. She loved cuddle times. Licking her nose, she stepped back and observed her mother's technique in fish catching. Someday she would go fishing for her mother and catch her the biggest fish.

"Yes mama," she said willingly enough. Looking longingly back at her mother's fish before entering the water. The pup stood in the water. Her blue eyes watched the slowly swimming fish. One of the bright colored fish that had gotten her attention earlier swam close. Irmuska lunged for it, but missed. She looked up at Annika with her ears back, "I'm sorry. I missed again."

Shaking her head, Annika motioned for Irmuska to go eat the fish she had gotten. "Don't be sorry. It's not anyone's fault alright? Remember that not always will you catch a fish. Just like not always will you catch a rabbit or deer, or any other source for food. Just be sure to know your surrounding area when roaming to know what food is available to you." She said wisely and licked her daughters cheek. "Now go eat so that we may move about the territory for more lessons."

Irmuska smiled at her mother. She had so much to learn to make her proud. "Yes mama." It was a disappointment, but it was fact. The pup wondered what lessons Annika had in mind today. She waddled out of the water and over to the fish. Plopping down, she ate her fill. Looking at the meat still left she perked her ears.

"Mama, what do we do if we can't completely eat a meal?" She turned bright blue eyes up to her mother. Her tongue flicked out over her whiskers several times.

Annika watched her daughter safely go to the shore where the fish was and once she knew her daughter was eating, the she wolf catch her self a slightly smaller fish and went to where her adorable pup was. Blinking some, the mother wolf set the fish down and looked thoughtful. "It depends sometimes. If your in a pack everyone will get their fair share of food to keep everyone healthy and strong. Nothing can go to waste."

Resting down with her heavy paw on the dead fish she tilted her head to the side, looking regal without meaning to. "If your alone, you catch what you can to keep you going. However if your a lone wolf but have your own territory then whatever meat is leftover can be saved for later. If anything you don't finish I will so that we don't waste too much. Or you can save the fish in a hiding place only you will know about so that if your hungry you can go find it. Every wolf are different in their methods."

The mother smiled at her daughter. "Just like no matter what I teach you, your going to grow up with the basic knowledge that you can turn into something that will suit you best and best for the pack." Especially when Annika was planning a journey back to her pack so that her daughter can be part of her heritage.

Irmuska didn't want anything to go to waste. She loved to share with her pack friends too. Unconciously the pup tried to imitate her mother's stance. Hmmmm there sure are a lot of choices, Irmuska thought to herself. What would be best? She wasn't hungry anymore, and mama had her own fish. Her tongue licked her nose as she made her choice. "I'll go hide it. Then if me or my playmates get hungry we'll have a snack."

The pup giggled, pleased with herself for the idea. Daintily she picked up leftovers of the fish with just the tips of her teeth. It hung behind her front legs and her back end waddled as she tried to avoid stepping on the tail. Irmuska headed into a nearby shrubbery. She looked and spotted a divot under the branches. Setting her fish down a moment, the pup dug it out a little more then carefully moved the fish to lay inside. Using her nose to shovel the dirt and debree back on top to cover it.

Irmuska came trotting out from the bushes looking all pleased with herself. She plopped her rump by her mother and smiled. After a couple minutes she leaned over and whispered, "I hid it under the branches and dirt." Sitting up straight she acted if nothing was going on.

Annika observed her daughter and hid a smile as she started to feast on her own fish. Once she was done the mother wolf dug a bit to bury the fish bones to keep it there. Yet the female rested where she was to see what her daughter would do next.

Watching Irmuska walk over to her, there was this pleased look on her face as if the little pup had gained a great victory. After all the littlest things a pup did were their little victories until they grew up to gain more that benefitted something far bigger. Blinking Annika chuckled and licked her cheek, whispering back. "Alright. Do you want me to go get it and eat it?" She teased, watching her daughter look like a little mini princess. At least that's how she saw her Irmuska. Perhaps she was such a total mom that thought that of her pup.

(Dude....I hearts Irmuska. She rocks with that adorable ness =D)

(Lol, I'm glad you like her. ^_^ )

The pup looked solemnly at her mother, "You may if you're still hungry, or I can use it to feed my friends when we're out playing. We get hungry a lot." She licked her mother's ear lovingly. Irmuska didn't want her mother to go hungry.

"So what are we going to do today? Swimming lessons? Are you going to tell me more stories?" She started to wiggle excitedly. Irmuska loved listening to her mother's tales.

(Dude, I don't like her, I LOVE her. Positively the cutest thing in the world. =D)

Annika smiled at her pup. "Sweetheart, I'm fine." Then the female looked around them contemplating what they could do together. Since there were next to the water they could do a bit of swimming. Or perhaps she could tell her daughter stories. Or even better, teach her daughter about hunting with the various hide outs around this area, then take a short swimming lesson to cool their bodies, run around a bit then eat something different for their dinner later on and give her daughter a story either of her own childhood or something made up. "Irmuska, let's learn to hunt a bit. The lesson is based on how to use the cover and elements around you to your best advantage." That way once she was big enough she would teach her daughter to hunt better during the night.

(Hahahah. ^_^ Even better.)

"Mmmmmmk mama." Irmuska stood up to nose around their clearing a little bit, waiting for Annika to decide what they would be doing. A butterfly fluttered in front of her nose and she gave a yip at it. Her breath sent it fluttering away and she bounded energetically after it.

She returned shortly back to her mother with a puppy grin on her face. The butterfly had flown above and out of her reach. "Oh boy hunting! What kind of cover do we wanna use? What are emma.... elemmments mama?"

Annika stood up and stretched her back as she walked at a leisure pace after her daughter. It was cute as hell to see the little one playing around with a butterfly since it brought her back to her own puphood days with her littermate and beloved brother, Niflheim. Mentally shaking off the past memories to focus on the present, she sat down to look at her daughter, the tartan hanging down her back.

"Irmuska, the elements are everything here you see around you. The air, the water, the earth, and so on. Gradually you learn to use them to you advantage when your hiding either from a threat or from your prey." Smiling slightly she broke it down simply, "It's sort of like hide-n-seek only much more serious than it is fun. I'm going to close my eyes alright? I want you to find a good spot to hide in." The mother smiled encouragingly at her baby girl.

Irmuska settled onto her haunches, and twitched her tail happily back and forth as she listed to her mother explain elements. She wondered what would scare her mother enough to hide, but didn't ask. If her mother was scared of it, she didn't wanna know. However, hiding from prey seemed silly. They were prey weren't they? "Why do we have to hide from prey?"

An excited yip escaped the pup as her mother mentioned hide-n-seek. She loved hide-n-seek! "Noooo mama! You go hide. I can find you." She nudged Annika with her nose then turned her back. With her butt in the air she dropped her front half down and covered her eyes with her paws. "One, two, three, four..."

The mother chuckled and shook her head. "You have to hide from them in order to catch them. Otherwise you won't be able to eat a meal if you don't." It was Annika who laughed and allowed her daughter to nudge her back. Rolling her eyes she smirked as her baby girl started counting.

With a push of her nose against her rump, the she wolf ran off silently to hide further away from their pond into the thick bush. The mother wolf moved around a bit until she bounded off to find a few sandstone rocks with thick branches and bushes grew. It was there that she hid carefully, tucking away the tartan with gentleness as she waited for her daughter to come find her.

Irmuska giggled as her mother nudged her rump. Quickly enough she finished counting and stood up. "I'm comin' mama!" She sing songed. The little pup bounded forward eagerly. Her eyes searched the area. Irmuska crashed through the foliage clumsily. She had to find her mother and prove she could do it.

Wandering back and forth, Irmuska tried to remember what her mother had told her. It surely was important. A moment later a little scent caught her attention. Fish! She wagged her tail. They had fish for breakfast and she'd hidden some away for later. Irmuska followed the scent toward the bush. Yup! Right where she'd left it. Oh now what was she doing?

She tilted her head as she thought hard. Her mother had been here and explaining something. Then they were playing a game; the pup lifted her head up. She had to find her mother! Irmuska put her nose to the ground and tried to start following her mother's scent. Often she went off track and had to backtrack.

Annika layed down among the rocks and the thick bushes, waiting for her daughter. At first the mother wolf was worried that perhaps this was too sudden to get her baby to start leaving to hunt and such but....This was important if they were going to leave this place and find a spot among the ranks in Einherjar.

Sighing softly, she rested her head down to keep alert for all the sounds around her and to make sure that her instincts were ready to bound off to find her daughter in case she decided to forget. Smiling to herself, Annika waited patiently for her daughter to continue her way to search for mother.

Irmuska quickly forgot to follow the trail with her nose as she earnestly began to look for her mother. Her eyes took in the foliage as she wandered back and forth. She passed some distance away from her hidden mother, without realizing she was there.

"Mama, where are you?" She looked around some more. "Mama! I can't find you!"
