"I do." Well, some might go as far as say used to - she still went, every now and then, but she'd cut back a lot since becoming part of the negaverse.
Her priorities had shifted, through... Saturday, hm ?
"Im not sure if I work saturday." Through she wasn't talking about the same job Kess would be thinking. "Through... tell me where and I'll show up if I can ?"

"To be honest, I don't know the venue, yet. It's a big summer thing, loads of folks, so they're releasing the location via text tomorrow. Less chance of the cops breaking it up right away." The blonde shrugged, as that was becoming standard practice with ragers and huge beach bashes, before raising her brows innocently.
"If you gave me your number, though, I could let you know." That grin, then, as she made her way through the third, and final pancake. "If you can't make it, no biggie."

"Ah..." Well, that made sense. Ever since the whole 'terrorist' scare started, the cops were on hair triggers.
Damn senshi.
She pulled a pen out of her pocket and wrote her number down on one of the napkins, then went off when she saw her plate was ready. Ashley had forgone breakfast for the grilled thai chicken sandwich that had pretty much been her invention, but was now part of the secret menu.
She was pretty damn proud of that, really.

It was cute, the way Ashley wrote it down on a napkin, oldschool style, instead of just telling Kess directly. The blonde even waited for the younger girl to go collect her food before tapping the numbers into the screen of her phone and saving them.
When she returned, Ashley would find Kess' meal significantly diminshed, yet somehow, the lanky, freckled young woman still eyed the waitress' sandwich with approval.
"s**t, girl. That sammie looks daaaank." It looked good, and smelled even better. The blonde made a note to try that, the next time she came in.

"Doesn't it ?" The girl said, apparently very proud of herself. "I created it, it's on the secret menu. Cooked it once on a break when they finally let me in the kitchen and everyone wanted it." She'd had to fend them off with a fork. Epic battle, truly.
"Just ask for the thai special and you'll get it."

"Will do." A flash of a grin, and before long, Kess had finished her meal, while Ashley continued to eat. The blonde settled into the booth, crossing her forearms on the table, and resting her cheek on one as the younger girl ate, and they occasionally murmured at each other.
Kess was friendly, but she didn't need to talk to feel content, instead, she mostly listened, and provided loose commentary to Ashley's thoughts.
Eventually, she pulled money from her pocket, setting it on the table, that equaled the price of her meal [with tax], and a good tip.
"Be careful on the walk home, Ashley." A wink. "I'd hate for anyone to snatch you up."

Ashley wasn't in a hurry, not now that her shift was over. She wasn't a particularly fast eater, either, so Kess had been done long before she was.
She seemed content to just keep on talking, normal conversation... It helped, really, take her mind from what she had done, as... normal as it was.
Everyone needed a dose of normality every now and then.
"Be careful too." Was all she said... But, well, Ashley's walk home wasn't going to be as simple as Kess thought it to be.
