"Of course he does. Didn't Jinju tell you? I would have thought since you're doing a report-" Jin sort of facepalmed as his mother was talking "the region we moved from." She eyed her son. "You didn't tell him this did you?"

"I was about to, thanks." He muttered. Jin was tucking cans away into a cupboard. He looked at his mother with a pleading look to stop talking. She took the hint.

"Well, Evan, we would be glad to have you for dinner. Jinju, you can go back to your work. I'll finish putting things away and start on dinner."

"Ok." Jin sounded a little defeated. He returned to Evan's side and rested his chin on his palm, looking at Evan, he knew there were questions, and he was ready for them.

"I can't wait Mrs. Darsha." He watched as Jin returned to his side. The whole conversation had made Evan curious. Did he really dance? And where exactly was Jin from? He looked over his partner, crossing his arms over his chest and gave himself a second to come up with some questions. "So Jinju," He smiled, eyeing Jin. "What exactly were you going to tell me?"

He leaned back a little, already onto his next question. "I'm guessing where you are from will help with this project." He gave Jin a puzzled look. "Why didn't you tell me when we first started? Things would have been much easier..." Evan sighed, running a hand through his blond mop of hair.

"Yeah... yeah I suppose. But what would I do? Hey partner, I'm from Sri Lanka, so you don't have to do any work? Please. Then I just didn't know how to bring it up." He shrugged. He heard his mom scoff from the kitchen. "I didn't know you when we started, and for all I knew, you could have decided that because I'm from where our report is on, you could have gotten a free ride. But instead we've been working together on this." He shook his head. "We're from Sri Lanka. I still have some family over there. access to lots of pictures. I dance in cultural festivals with my brother here, traditional Hindi and Sri Lankan dances." He glanced away. "Anything else?"

"You do have a point...." His face fell into as he tapped his chin thoughtfully, "At least you know that I wouldn't do it, right?" He smiled again, laughing a bit, "To be honest, I was worried that you wouldn't pull your own weight! But I think it would be so much cooler to learn this from someone who's actually been there!" The blond was a little too giddy than he should have been.

"So know for more questions!" He leaned in, closing the space between them, "Can I see you dance?" His face brightened more, "Could you teach me? We could perform for the class!" They would surely ace this project with a good performance and solid information.

Jin laughed slightly and nodded. "Now we both know. But I'm glad that you're so willing to pull your weight in this project. I don't know if I can teach you to dance, but... I could try. Though we don't have that much time. But we can figure that out a little later. Let's first do the recipes. You have some really good ones? If not, we ... ah, well, obviously we have some cookbooks around here. If we can't find something easy in your books, I'm sure we can find something." He was pretty glad Evan wasn't mad at him for not telling him right away where he was from. He wanted them to get a good grade on their project, and Evan had been pretty good to work with.

Evan couldn't help but smile, "This actually makes it harder on me. I can't let you show me up." His face down turned soon after. "Oh... I'll just watch you dance then..." He picked up the cook book, looking over the recipes. "Maybe I should just try to make this at home. Could I borrow this?" He didn't really make eye contact as he ask Jin.

Before he started to pout, Evan's stomach growled rather loudly. His face flushed instantly. "I guess I should stop looking at these recipes on an empty stomach." He gave Jin an embarrassed smile before putting the book down.

"Didn't mean to make it harder on you. Just wanted you to be able to pull your own weight." He laughed and started looking at the recipes until Evan's stomach growled. "Oh... I was going to offer you a snack."

"Too close to dinner." Jin's mother's voice cut in. "Why don't you go upstairs and show Evan how to dance?" She was trying to be helpful. And since they seemed to have written most of their report. They just had to figure out what food to make, and decide if they wanted Jin to dance or not.

"You want to see some dances?" He asked and started collecting his books.

Once his belly had ceased it's gurgling, the blond boy stood up without a word. He gathered up his things, trying not to look too embarrassed, "I'll pull my own weight, don't worry..." He placed his things in his bag, looking down at Jin. "I'd like that." He smiled, shuffling closer to his partner awkwardly. "Um... After you Jin." Evan didn't have any clue where Jin's room was and he thought it would be rude to go find it himself.

Jin pat Evan's shoulder once as he walked passed the blond, his bag slung over one shoulder. "Yeah, it's this way." He lead Evan up the stairs. The stairwell had pictures hanging on it of Jin's family. Him, his parents, his older brother, and both sets of grandparents.

Jin's room was at the far end of the hall. "Come on in." he said, leading Evan into the bedroom that was decorated in reds and gold. There were small statues and trinkets on his dresser, and a delicately designed incense burner. Jin tossed his bag on the floor near his bed. "Make yourself at home." He offered, thinking. Should he demonstrate without a costume? Or should he give Evan the whole ordeal?

Nah, he didn't feel like changing.

Evan did his best not to linger as his partner made his way through the house. The blond boy stopped to gaze at some of Jin's family photos, before he notice Jin was ahead of him and he came running after. Once they were at the far end of the hall, right in front of Jin's room, Evan hesitantly made his way in.

He took his time looking over things place on the dresser. They were all interesting and he had never seen an incense burner like that before. He seemed to act like a little kid as he held his bag close to him, peering at the trinkets, and careful not to touch them. He placed his bag next to Jin's at sat himself down on the bed with a smile. "Your room is nice." He scanned the whole room with a swivel of his head. "I think it might be a bit bigger than mine." He laughed, "So anyway, let's do what we came here for." He scooted closer to the edge of the bed. "Let's see you dance."

"You've probably never gotten to see traditional dances before have you?" He asked as he unbuttoned his uniform coat. He tossed it at his bed, missing and not caring as it crumpled to the floor. The coat was quite misleading. Even though Jinju was short and slender, he was surprisingly well toned. He had defined shoulders and arms, and the white tanktop he wore was hiding a lean torso.

He raised his arms, holding them out, slightly bent at the wrist and elbows. Jin held the pose a moment before starting in the slow, graceful motions of a dance. It started slow with flowing movements and lots of sweeping leg work. Jin seemed to be dancing to some unheard music.

Evan shook his head in reply to Jin's question. He had vaguely gotten an idea while they were working on their project, but he had no idea what exactly the dancing was like. He watched as his partner shed his uniform coat. He felt a little nervous as Jin did so, making sure his coat was buttoned up all the way. Although Evan was taller than Jin, he wasn't as muscular or toned as him. He was just a slender and tall with not much definition.

As Jin began to dance, Evan was quickly entranced. He watched Jin's graceful moves and his elegant demeanor with each step and sweeping motion. He wish he could hear the unheard music Jin danced to.

Jin danced for a few minutes, seeming to forget that he was just demonstrating, and went through the whole routine, as he'd been doing since he was very little. When he was done, he held his final pose a moment, his body bowed, head down. Jinju slowly stood back up, looking at Evan through slightly hooded eyes. "Do you think that would work for our presentation? That dance was an invitation to the spirits. I could do it while you talk about religion."

Before Evan knew it, Jin's dance was over and he was bowing before him. Evan gave his partner a well earned applause when he stood up. "That was great!" He couldn't help but feel the pressure from Jin's hooded eyes and he turned, busying himself with the hem of his coat. "You wouldn't have to do the whole dance while I talked about religion if you didn't want to." He kept his eyes on one of his buttons. "But I'll make the speech worthy of such a wonderful dance!" He smiled to himself as he kept his head down and focused on playing with his buttons.

"I don't mind it. I'll dance until you're done talking on religion. Maybe I should talk about food, when you pass out whatever we end up making? Though that should be the last thing we do so people aren't chewing and smacking whatever we bring. That would be pretty disruptive." He watched Evan fidget with his buttons, and wondered what was wrong. Unless he was just worried about the presentation.

"Don't worry, Evan. This report has been going great, and everything you've written so far has been brilliant." He wasn't just saying that. He did admire all the work that Evan had done, and he'd been putting it together so well!
