Ghost set out quite happily, a bounce in her step and turtle shell in her mouth, singing a jaunty little tune of "Mmmuffshmm, mmuffshmm, mmmuffshmm!"--a shell-blocked version of "Mushroom, mushroom, mushroom," that was Ghost's way of telling the mushrooms she knew where they were--and went to retrieve her new minion, excuse me, cohort.

She found him precisely where she had left him, and assessed quickly for any signs of him changing his mind. She saw none, and so she bumped his shoulder with hers and tipped her head in the direction of the Mound. "Thfff wyy!" she told him, and started off again.

Ghost, having spotted some of the mushrooms she desired for this particular event, had set the turtle shell down to pick them when Soul had spoken. "It's a fair warning to the mushrooms so they know I'm coming to get them. So when I eat one of these, I'm going to see your colors everywhere? Awesome. That should make Ghost Thistle easy to find, then. So you've eaten the 'shrooms before? Which ones are the best? Is it these? I've heard really good things about them!" Well, not these particular mushrooms, she didn't think--she'd heard that some does had eaten mushrooms at the festival of abundance and ended up with clutches and weird memories. Hopefully these weren't the knock-you-out-and-knock-you-up kind.

"So your dream came like a mushroom trip? Mine was an orchid flitting between trees like a ghost. Thus, Ghost Orchid." She tossed the mushrooms into the shell, and reclaimed the carrier so they could continue.

"Dreamed it over and over. I just had these dreams of circles and feathers and such and speaking with who I assume is Thistle. I don't know what we were saying, but seemed important. That's why I've taken a break from trying to devise ways to improve life for everyone." She glanced at Soul over her shoulder, to see if he could interpret her muffled speech.

"Precisely! So, I'm off on this trip to find her!" The shell wobbled dangerously, so she quickly lowered her head and placed it on the ground again. "So I have to find her and ask, because if this is just a product of having 'Ghost' in my name, then I'm going to try to treat the Ache so Kimeti and kiokote can go where they want without worrying about the pain."

Ghost beamed at him. For such a bright buck, he was kind of quiet, but he made a really good conversation partner. He was calming her from her typically manic rush into things--probably he would have talked her out of going after a tooth from the live crocodile that had left her with a couple of interesting scars. Maybe he'd be a good guy to have around.

"Thanks! I've been working on a herb mixture that I think may work on it, but I still have to test it, and until I figure out what's wrong with me, I don't know if that's the mix or just me."

"What d'you know, I can understand you around the shell, too! As for that, mostly it's because I haven't met any kiokote yet. I'm mostly a hermit, to be honest. Other than my swan, Triumph, I don't know a lot of others." She hung her head, a bit embarrassed at her unsocial past.
