But apparently it would seem that my eyesight has been getting a little blurry as of late. But I suppose maybe it's because I'm always reading books. So I went ahead and headed to see the doctor to have my eyes check. When I got to the doctor's I had to get an eye check-up because I haven't gone to get one in a long while. The last time I remember getting one was when I was little I believe. I had to read out the letters that was printed in black on a white board from afar with each eye. After my eye check-up was done the doctor said that I needed to get glasses though my eyes aren't that bad but I still need to get glasses.
So afterwards I went to look around town for glasses that might appeal to my liking. I saw all sorts of eye glasses there were even glasses that had no lenses in them! But then I stumbled upon this little shop that was out of the way and in the back away from the main street where all the other shops were. The shop had the most decent selection of glasses if I don't say so myself. Which I had happen to find a pretty decent pair of glasses in this little shop. It has been quite awhile since I've had to go shopping for something and I have to say I did enjoy myself shopping and getting away from the thought of war every once in a while. x x x x x x x x x x x↳ It's been a few weeks since I have been appointed as a Pawn of the Noir. Well all I've been doing up til now is just taking patrol on the outskirts of town. Normally Pawn's would start at the castle on parol duty I've practally lived in the Noir Kingdom all my life so I know my way around. I could even tell you where is where in my sleep. But I do have to say patrolling the outskirts of town is much better than having to stay close to the castle all the time. But just my luck that there had to be partners and I just had to be partnered with worst creep ever. Why you say he's a creep? Well for starters he's a creep who stalks girls and is just disgusting. But what's even more gross than that he hits on me of all people. Seriously how can a creep like this even be in the army makes me wonder but doesn't change my mind about this soldier whom's name is Jake and just disgusts me. . .
Luckily for me I got to blow some steam and had a battle with the creep. You know what? He was all talk guess wimps really do bark louder when they are weaklings. There was nothing particuarly special about him either. Just a big jackass who's a creep is all. Not really strong but he claims that his scars aren't there for nothing but I doubt that all I seem to hear from his mouth are lies.lies. and some more lies. But what creeps me out and makes me question him is that hits on me of all people. I'm a guy for crying out loud why of all people would he hit on me who's a guy? This is all just a plain creepy mystery that I never know when it will be solved and a part of me wants it solved yet at the same time not really. . .But I guess that's another story to tell in the near future hopefully but for not I will have to stop writing for today.

Tokiya rarely has his glasses fall off as of late. But luckily they seem to have fallen off somewhere today. And it's almost time for promotion time but before any of that happens I need to make some preparations before it happens. Like above all Tokiya's style of clothing....Seriously what is up with his choice of clothes? This is the last time I let him choose what to wear... Either it be him or me there's no way I'll allow Tokiya to walk out the door ever again dressing like he does on a daily basis. Tokiya is definatly going to have thoroughly make-over including his hair......It's just a total mess!
And thus this empty day became a day full of preparations for a promotion. So I went into town searching high and low for the perfect outfit or something that catches my emerald colored eyes. But then I finally found it. Just the right outfit that would look great and is to my liking. But I had the colors tweaked here and there to match Noir colors. Well it's true I found an outfit but I'm far from done with preparations because I am in need of a new hairstyle and I decided to dye my hair black for a new look. In a sense I believe black looks so much better than dirty brown.
I had stumbled upon these tonfas that seem to have hidden weapons but I have yet to find out what they are but nonetheless they seemed pretty cool and since the promotion is for a knight I thought it was a good idea to change weapons. I had also gone shopping for piercings I thought they looked cool and plus it's time for a new look so what the hell. Tokiya won't like it one bit though...anyways besides that and moving on it didn't really hurt all that much but I guess you could say the lip piercings do hurt a bit. But it's nothing I can't handle and I'll end up getting over it in a day or two. Finally last but not least I got a tattoo on my upper arm. I thought the design was pretty cool so I got it. All I have to say is getting a tattoo is very prickly worse than getting pricked by a cactus..... O ^ O

◄How go the preparations for our recruiters?►
"Harrumph," coughed Master Gilbert. "So, Farland, what are your recommendations?" The Grand Bishop of the Rooks in the Noir army leaned back his chair and steepled his fingers. It was that time of the year again: recruitment season. A time when old soldiers retired and new ones must be found to take their place. All Knights and Bishops were allowed the opportunity to go out and train their own subordinates - by recommendation only. The two generals of the Noir army were seated in a meeting room inside the Midnight Castle deliberating over the final list of those who had requested to go recruiting. Gilbert believed he had narrowed the list down, but the problem was finding compatible partners.
The Grand Knight re-adjusted his spectacles as he squinted down at his own list of Knights. Mumbling to himself, he reviewed the list with a pen at the ready. "Hmm... Had quite the number of Knights making requests this round, so allow me a few minutes to take a last look," muttered General Farland. Several minutes passed as Farland made notes in the margins and it didn't seem he would be finished soon.
By this point, Gilbert had slumped in his chair with a sullen look on his face. He exhaled loudly. No reaction. He coughed in a strange chuckle-choking fashion - the result of a split second of indecision. No reaction. Finally, Gilbert repeatedly slapped the table with his palms. "Farland. Farland. Farland. Farland," he chanted. "Hurry up. I have other matters to attend to. This is not a war counsel!" Gilbert leaned across the table and snatched the papers from Farland's hands.
The General jerked in surprise and sputtered indignantly. "W-w-what are you doing! I wasn't finished! Return it!" Gilbert looked back at Farland with an eyebrow raised. He picked up his own list of people and held both papers side by side. Eyes flitted back and forth as he evaluated the personalities of each soldier listed. Placing them back on the table, Gilbert grabbed a red inked pen, marked both lists and slid them to the middle of the table.
Farland grabbed at both lists, gave Gilbert a dirty look and looked the new notes over. "No no no no. This would never do well together! Have you not seen them interact?!" Farland exclaimed. He grabbed pen filled with blue ink and wrote over Gilbert's notes.
Gilbert looked towards heaven for guidance. A moment later, he exasperatedly sighed, "Yes, I have seen them together and I am sure they will be fine. Really, Farland. You coddle your soldiers too much." He snatched the papers back and called for a secretary into the room. "The Knights, Jake and Tokiya, will be fine. I've seen them at the hospital. They are compatible. Goodness."
General Farland glowered at Gilbert for a moment more before he grabbed a pen and paper and began to write. "They are my Knights! I will have final judgement, Gilbert! Now you're lucky it's getting late and I must attend to some Knightly matters, so I will end this here. But if they come back with no recruits, you're giving me full reign in your medicine closet for a month!" he said, emphasizing the last word with a flourish of his pen. With that, he turned towards the secretary that had just entered. "Have Jake and Tokiya come to Meeting Room 4 and give them this notice." As the secretary bowed his way out, Farland got up and prepared to leave.
Gilbert remained seated. The General looked back at his colleague with a questioning look. The Grand Bishop gestured to the remaining papers scattered across the table with a look of resignation. Farland angrily took off his jacket, cursing loudly. Gilbert merely rubbed his temples and leaned forward once more.

Your accomplishments and improvement over the course of your time in the army have proved to be sufficient evidence to allow for you to take the next step in your career in the Noir army. Enclosed you will find the information necessary to conduct your recruitment. Please do not deviate from instructions. Congratulations and we hope you find young men and women who would make a fine addition to our force.

All campaigns must be made with a partner. Your pair consists of Jake and Tokiya. This is not negotiable.
To prevent over-recruitment from any single area, you are restricted to the following towns. General information on each town is included.
You are not allowed more than four recruits.
Gibbous Town: A port town directly south of Dawn City. The demographic is typically of merchants and sailors and those from other nations often make their temporary home here while conducting business. You may not recruit foreigners.
Ravensfield: A town on the border between Prophylaxis and Noir, it is often a rest stop for travelers coming from the west and active soldiers. There is a more relaxed relationship to the Prophylaxis citizens here than anywhere else in Noir.
Eventide Meadows: A rural town to the far east of the country. It provides much of the agricultural production for the eastern half of the country.
Aurora: A town situated between Eventide Meadows and Ravensfield.
Crescent Harbor: A smaller port town located a few miles south of Dawn City specifically for docking the Noir fleet. Civilian families are mainly shipbuilders.
Apogee: Fishing town on the southwestern coast.
Perigee: Fishing town on the southeastern coast.
Apollo: An academic town near the western border. It's focus is research for both civilian and military matters. The last stop on the road to Chemaia in Noir.

I have to be partnered up with that creep of all people to do recruitments!? The higher-up couldn't possibly picked anybody better than him? I mean really how could they think that him and I are a good pair? WE DON'T GET ALONG FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! Ugh this is gonna suck big time. . . I just hope he doesn't end up picking some creep to recruit like he is. . . .
Oh well anyways despite that I dislike this very much I suppose I need to make a list of how there attributes should be or what I'm specifically looking for. Well first things first since were only allowed 4 recruits I suppose I would like to recruit 1 boy and 1 girl. Besides the population of females is quite low in Noir I've only seen very few running around besides my twin sister Lacie. Speaking of Lacie I haven't seen much of her at all lately, oh right I must not get side tracked and concentrate on this recruitment mission!
Anyways getting back on track for appearance wise for a girl it should be that she should have long but not too long golden brown-ish blonde hair or short dark brown hair but if she does decide to have it long the girl should know to tie it or do something with her hair so it's not in the way and doesn't hinder her in any way while she is fighting. As well for eye color I suppose it should be a golden brown color. Okay now for boys I would prefer them to have dark blue hair or black hair they an have it grown out or not it doesn't matter much to me but if it grown out I want them to tie it back. As for eye color I suppose a greenish teal or dark blue would be good. Oh and also this is an army so I don't want any girly girls or some pretty boys that are weaklings either!
It would be great if I could find them to be charismatic,loyal,strong,intelligent, but I don't want them to be just by the book it would be okay if they are somewhat rebellious and aloof but I would like to also keep in mind for some good leaders too! I also don't mind at all if they aren't human either they could be a totally different race for all I care like Enma! I suppose that would sum up the main attributes I'm looking for in these recruits.
Now is the time as to where I'm going to look for the recruits. I suppose we an stop by in Ravensfield to see if we an find some. I think it would be good if they are somewhat used to handling with people from prophylaxis you never know we might be in a situation where we might need to work things out between the two countries. Next stop would be Aurora, yes there may not be much out there but maybe the amazing ones are in the middle of nowhere! Well that's what I believe and I just have a feeling that we'll find someone in Aurora. And finally last but not least is Apollo maybe someone from there can be of help to us with there research they have done on normal and military matters. They might even have military research that even us Noir soldiers don't know much about so I think it's worth it to take a trek down there and see who we an find.
Well that complete's my list of what I wish to find in these recruits. Now I have to go and talk it over with that creep. . . Ugh I really really don't want to do this but I must. . . Just hope my list doesn't get torn apart but the way it looks it just might be cause it's that creep I'll be talking it over with. . . Ugh. . . x x x x x x x x x x x↳ It's been pretty busy around here with bustling news going around from each nation. King Sable, Lucian is investigating Prophylaxis and Lady Ashe's actions as of late. Could it be possible Lady Ashe is supporting Lucian from the shadows?? Or could it also be possible that she might be pretending to do so. . . So she can get close to Lucian then later on betray him to take control over Noir!? Oh but then that makes me wonder maybe Lucian is trying to get close to Lady Ashe so he can take over Prophylaxis so he can get more information and the gate and take control over it! Queen Helsa of Blanc has been investigating King Sable, Lucian's recent actions. Meanwhile, Ivan has just recently arrived in Chemaia in secret without Queen Helsa's knowledge. . . Hm. . . I wonder why he would go through all the trouble to do that? But it does seem like he has some connections and valuable information about the gate. While on the other hand Queen Xifeng of Hong seems to have gone crazy and has demanded that Lady Ashe return her son the crowned prince or she would take over Prophylaxis. I don't know what other people may think but for one I don't think Queen Xifeng should even try to gain control Prophylaxis and not to mention the gate! Queen Xifeng has just gone mad and you know what seem like she has got a few screws loose. . . . All of this just makes me more puzzled and suspicious of how things stand currently with each nation. But I know where my loyalty lies and that is with King Sable, Lucian. That creep dimwit who has no sense of direction better be somewhere far from where my loyalties lie! But never the less I will continue to look p to Lucian and shall follow him towards victory!
