"O-oh... Okay then," Bea said in reply to Israfel. The black dog mentioned someone named Jove. Who was this Jove? Was it a student? A pet? maybe a teacher? All she could figure was it was something lost. Bea glanced at the gryphon ghoul for a moment and flipper her hair behind her shoulder, giving her a warm smile in return. She seemed familiar, but Bea didn't think too much on it.
With all the students standing around, there didn't seem to be much progress. Some juicy gossip this could conjure... Bea gave a sigh and looked into the forest. "It does seem... Ominous. However, we might as well go in right?" she suggested to the group. Though, when she took another look at it, she started to feel a bit hesitant.

It was suspicious to find anyone in the woods, especially a group, and while Calder came here often, feeling more comforted by the trees and crawling moss than the hallways and tile floors of Amityville, he did not expect others to bother leaving the easy trails to come here. He had been taking a dip in the river again and was shaking some water out of his ear when he came, dripping wet, to notice a group discussing something in whispers. Secret club? Calder wanted to be part of a secret club!
Unlike the school, where everything had a hard surface, the ground was soft and Calder was quiet. When he got close enough, he looked about. "So what are you all doing here in my little corner of the woods?" He asked, looking around to see if they were doing anything fun.

Ren did not know the first boil that approached him; someone with long blue hair, but he gave him a friendly smile, lifting a hand in greeting.
"Just looking for my little brother," he said, giving what he hoped was a nonchalant shrug, but the truth of the matter was that Ren was rather worried about where Jove had gotten off to. It wasn't like him to stand him up, after all. "He was supposed to meet me for supper, but never showed..."
There were more footsteps, then a familiar voice spoke. "Sup, doggy dog dog," Ren said absently to Tybalt, without looking at the ghost as he continued to scrutinize the woods in front of him as if they would somehow miraculously spit out his little brother.
More footsteps, and more voices, and soon Ren was not just with Yuki and Tybalt, but a tiger-eared ghoul that he did not know, Israfel, whom he had only met once or twice before, a pale skinned ghoul that he recognized from the festival, Tahki, Roch, and Calder coming up the rear.
"Oh," Ren said, slightly taken aback at the sudden appearance of what seemed to be half of the people he knew. "Hi."
There was a pause, then he said, somewhat lamely "I'm looking for Jove - my little brother," he added, to the students who he did not know. "He was supposed to come and have supper with me, but he never showed..."
Trailing off, Ren cast a wary glance at the forest. Now that Israfel had mentioned it, it did seem very...quiet. Too quiet. He reached a hand up, rubbing the back of his neck absently.
"...I'm worried," he said finally, giving the forest another apprehensive look.

Willow nodded to those that seemed to notice her and she actually agreed with Tahki, "It is sort of.... creepy, and not in a good way."
The tiger was listening to what the others had to say and then Ren mentioned he was worried about his brother. "Perhaps.... we should try to find him?" She saw Calder approach and gave a wave to the boil.
Her ears perked up twitching to listen for sounds, "What's your little brother, Jove look like?" She asked curiously, "Maybe we could go all go looking for him?" The fact the forest was quite was unnerving but the fact someone might be lost in there, well actually that and the curiosity of what was making the forest so quite made Willow want to dive right in.

Tybalt and Ren's statements had Israfel frowning in seconds. "Jove is missing?" He asked Ren. While he knew the ghost in passing and from making minipet candy, he..never struck the siren as one to just go vanishing. He might have been quite, but he was nice and rather kind, (so the siren was inclined to think). What would he be doing in the forest of all places? "The only things in there are-" He stopped a feathers started fluffing out. "Well, supposedly portals but it's not like he'd want to find one of those things. Last time a bunch of students went into the woods though..didn't Arel have to come out or something? I'm not sure. I kinda missed what happened." That is what he got for having a bucket on his head.
At Calder's arrival, Israfel smiled thinking the kelpie might have some insight. "You see anything on your way over Calder?" A look up, and still, the lack of avian song unsettled him. "Can try to fly over the tree line, but not sure if it's help. But yeah. What would Jove be doing out in the woods this late?" His gaze at Ren, more curious about this initially intended.

Yuki had offered a smile toward Ren in return, simply meaning to return the kind gesture. When he explained his dilemma, however, the smile faded into a soft frown.
"Well, that's not good..." Yuki murmured, following his gaze to into the trees. Apparently, there was reason to believe he might be in there.
The ghost could only wish that he knew who Jove was, to rightly know whether or not he had seen him.
When others appeared, Yuki remained silent. Aside from offering a soft nod of greeting to each new arrival, he decided it best not to interject in the conversation until he had a better grasp of what was going on, or what was to be decided.
It wasn't until Israfel mentioned the lack of sound that Yuki noticed the silence. It was strange, especially since the evenings should have been even more active in creatures' song. It made him a little uneasy, too...
"Maybe we could split up and look for him?" Yuki suggested, once everyone else had seemed to fall into silence.

A deep, rumbling noise echoed through the woods, almost perceived resonating in the chest as much as low to the ears. If the group were to head in deeper in search of the tiny foxfire, perhaps it would be wiser to stick together...

"That's terrible! I'm sure we can find your brother if we all stick together!" She said to Ren as her eyes grew more and more concerned for the missing student as well as the creepiness of the woods.
Bea turned her attention to each student as they suggested a plan to search for Jove. Sticking together would be the safest way to go about finding someone. Don't want anyone to get lost along the way. Although splitting up could cover more ground...
The ghost ghoul stood there for a moment in thought before a sudden rumbling sound echoed through the woods snapped her out. Bea began to stiffen up and latched onto the first boil she saw. She gripped into the black dog boil's arm very tightly.
"U-um! Let's search for him as a single group. If we split up some of us might get lost too. Or encounter something we can't handle alone?" The thought of that worried her even more.

Israfel was not thinking going into the forest alone was a good idea, but, sometimes, you needed to do things in order to get things done. That was effort and work. Which Israfel usually tried his jack damnest to avoid. So going into the forest alone? He’d avoid the pumpkin s**t out of that. No thanks, he’d stick to a group. Plus- “If we split up that will just risk us each getting lost. It’s like Bea said. Then everybody would be lost.” Getting lost to find something lost didn’t sound to be the most brilliant.
“Plus if we get lost I bet someone will come looking for us. And then we might get detention.” Another thing Israfel wanted to avoid, dreaded detentions. “So I vote stay together.” Looking at the tops of the trees, he wasn’t sure he could stay that high up. On foot might be better after all. The paths in the forest wound in and out, not to mention about. Going from the air he’d also be further away from the group. Again, still not a great idea.
