Eros was caught a little off guard by her words but whole heartedly accepted them with a pleasant smile spreading across his lips, "No, definitely not bad company at all, Auri, dear. I find your enthusiasm for taking care of this little one to be quite an honorable trait." He reassured her that it was not something to apologize for. The whispers that they shared only caused a confused look from Adakias which eventually lead him to piping up, "Hey, I'm here too. What are you saying?" he hopped up as if it would help him hear. Soon the secretive whispers died and Eros was left with a knowning smirk glued to his face. "What secrets? They were just little mutters, not for ears of those to young," he laughed light heartedly and nudged the boy over to Auri. "Come, she leads us to safety. The sooner we arrive the sooner we can start our slumber party," he grinned at the boy and nodded to Aurianna. "Be our lantern in the dark, M'lady," he politely responded, walking at her heels with young Adakias by his side.

Aria Starstone Auri smiled down at Adakias and calmly said "Perhaps it involved surprises for you, lad, or plans for how to get things done that you might find dull. If it was either of those things, why... telling you might ruin the surprise, or bore you to tears." She gave him a gentle nuzzle, and then winked at Eros, conspiratorially. She knew that it was probable, though not a certainty, that she'd piqued Adakias's interest more, but that wouldn't hurt. She could get him to follow, and distract him, and his interest, and attempts to find out, would tire him enough he should sleep well. Or so she figured, if she was right. "I lead the way, good Sirrah." She smiled at the pair, and headed off through the trees, winding carefully between them as she went, making sure of the ground, in case something had dug a new hole. When they got close, she nodded. "Up ahead, I am sure you can hear the river already." She certainly could, anyways.

Adakias perked his ears up all the more at her words and wondered which of the two it could be. Surprise or not he still had a desire to know. Boring it not he still wanted to uncover what they had said. He was a curious boy with a good imagination. One that worked none stop and often led him to impossible conclusions. "Well, what was the surprise?" he decided to assume it was the more appealing suggestion she offered up to him. Eros chuckled at the boy and shook his head, "Surprises are meant to be a surprise, of course." He yawned softly, finding this foal to be tiring him out just by being so packed with energy. As they neared the cave by the riverbank Eros eyed it's dark entrance. By now the Sun had set and the light was just barely lighting the area. Within a few minutes things would be blanketed with a veil of darkness. They neared the cave and Eros, being the stallion of the group, poked his head inside, eying the area and making sure no strangers occupied it before flagging them to come inside. "This is quite a lovely place. I'm glad you thought of it, Aurianna." He bowed his head to her, thankfully. Adakias immediately dashed to the back of the cave and began zipping from wall to wall, looking around. "Oooh it's spooky in here. This is exactly where goblins would hide! What if they're hiding in the shadows!" he dashed for Auri, hiding beneath her belly.

Aria Starstone Aurianna looked amused at the boy's attempt to get the information out of them. "Now then, let's see..." She completely avoided responding, as if not hearing his question, just heading to the cave. When they reached it, her head wings sagged a little in relief, glad they'd made it before it was supremely dark, since it would be some time before moonrise. She tilted her head and grinned at Eros. "I am too, it would be far too dark to continue, I think." She slid inside, and then watched the boy's running about, trying not to laugh at his silly nature, and possibly hurt his feelings. "Well, if they are, Eros and I will be prepared to deal with them." She shook her head, amused. "I'm pretty sure the pair of us could convince them there's far easier prey around to go after."

The large stallion smirked at the size difference in the sweet mare and the teeny tiny foal that cowered underneath her body. "That is very right. We wont let any goblins harm you. We're quite persuasive, aren't we Aurianna?" He gave her a coy little smirk. Playing make believe with a colt was quite amusing. So much in fact that he was already predicting how much he'd miss it when Adakias found his family again. He stepped inside the cave first, wanting to put on a good show for the boy. Hidden by the darkness he made his voice brave and strong, "Clever goblins of this cave, I ask for your permission for me and my two lovely friends Adakias and Aurianna to rest here for the night. Will you allow us to stay, unharmed and certainly not eaten?" He paused for a moment before making the most grotesque alter of his voice, trying to copy what he imagined goblins would sound like, "You may sleep here. We don't mind a bit." He snickered softly to himself before coming back out. "They are quite nice, these goblins. See? Now wont you come inside so we can get nice and comfortable for the night. Adakias had a pure look of shock and awe as he stared up at the Angeni. "You're so brave! Yes yes, not that they promised not to grind our bones for bread we're safe!" He piped up but it was obvious in his eyes that he was lacking energy. He trotted inside next to Eros but the male paused, waiting for the lovely mare to follow along, wondering if she had been impressed.

Aria Starstone Aurianna smiled down at the foal as Eros agreed with her, in a reassuring way. "Of course we are, Eros." She arched a brow, a bit, at the smirk, amused, then tilted her head, curious, as he went in. When he spoke... Oh how hard she had to fight the urge to laugh. Oh yes, it was good, to help the foal, and give him a thrill, but it was so very ridiculous and silly too. She couldn't help but wonder, at that, how the foal would be affected in the future, having just been giving what would seem to HIM powerful evidence his fantasies were real, but decided to deal with that later. In the meantime, she controlled her expression so as not to blow Eros's cover, or stab his poor ego. "Thank you, Eros." She said when he emerged. "That was most kind of you, to take care of the issue before it could become one." She winked at him where Adakias couldn't see, to let him know she was amused and pleased.

Adakias has nestled himself in the very back of the cave, already curling up into a tight ball, much like how he would against his mothers side. Eros glanced to him with a soft stare before turning back to Aurianna once she spoke to him. He caught her wink just in time and instead of taking it as a simple compliment or something of that degree he began to feel his stomach knot and a smile spread across his lips. He didn't understand why he had that sort of reaction but he was curious to find out. "You're most welcome, Lady Auri. Why don't you come snuggle with us. It'd be smart to stay close due to the cold..." he smiled at her before laying himself down beside the young foal, nuzzling his tiny body. Adakias was already half asleep, eyes half lidded and getting closer to shutting every second that passed.

Aria Starstone Aurianna blinked a little at the broad smile, but nodded and smiled back, totally oblivious to the other emotions the male might be having. "That seems wise, yes. I think I will. Let's put Adakias between us, so the young one doesn't take a chill." She moved after him, following him inside, then she settled down on the other side of the little foal, and rested a wing gently on his back, so that he might be 'blanketed' by it. "Good night, Eros, and sleep well. Sweet dreams, Adakias." She gave him a soft nuzzle, then rested her head.

Eros gave a positive nod. "Most certainly. We wouldn't want the little fella getting a cold or anything. Once they were all positioned he let out a soft sigh and felt the feather tips of her wings brushing against his side he smiled all the more. Adakias gave a small, "Mmm-night-mph" before rolling around slightly before dropping his head completely like dead weight, passing out on the spot. Eros laughed lightly at the foal before laying his own head down. "Stay warm... sleep well," he told Auri, draping his own wing over hers for more warmth of the foal but it was mostly just for contact. He shut his eyes, drifting off to sleep, feeling comforted by company.

Aria Starstone Auri smiled a little, and looked curiously at the other's wing, then half shrugged, assuming he was doing it for the foal, as she was, and nothing more to it. She soon fell asleep, comfortable and safe in the cozy little cave. She slept long, and well, and when morning came, she slowly lifted her head, blinking, seeing the sun's light filling the cave as it broke over the horizon of trees. She smiled and looked to her companions.

Eros was a light sleeper so when the female awoke he wasn't far behind. "Mm, good morning, miss." He gave her a drowsy smile before glancing down, and lifting his wing up off of her very own. "You slept well, I hope?" He stretched his neck out, wincing at the cracks his bones made before losing all tension and just relaxing. "He's still sleeping..." he let his eyes drop to the foal. "Do we wake him?"

Aria Starstone "Good morning, Eros. I did, and you?" She smiled slowly, and carefully stood, stretching out her muscles and glancing at the weather. Sunny, few clouds, no signs of rain. Excellent weather, especially for flying. But the foal was ground bound, so therefor was she for the day. "Mmmm I think let him wake on his own... We can take turns staying here with him, while the other steps out for water, to graze a bit, and... take care of any necessities."

Eros' smile seemed to warm the more he stared at her, getting lost in her beauty. Usually, this wasn't something he allowed himself to do but maybe it was the sluggishness of the morning that made him lose his focus on match making. "I slept wonderfully. I always sleep better with company." He glanced down to the foal as she mentioned him and he gave a firm nod. "Yes, but who shall get the first watch? I mean, I could always watch him first if you have things you must do. I honestly don't mind one bit."

Aria Starstone Auri blinked a little at the warmth of that smile, totally innocent of understanding what it could mean. Again, she shrugged it off, though it was a mental shrug this time. "I am glad to hear it, then. Sleep is always excellent." She smiled at his offer. "That is kind of you. I will go take care of my needs, and then return. I will not be long. Thank you." She trotted out of the cave, and towards the river's edge.

Eros gave the tiniest little explosion of happiness as she trotted off by laughing. "What a pleasant mare," he noted to himself softly as not to wake up little Adakias. He glanced over his shoulder at the young foal with a smirk on his lips. It was quickly slapped off the moment he realized that the foal who had been curled up nearby was gone. The large stallion jumped to his feet, checking under himself, under his wings, over his shoulder in a panicked frenzy. "Adakias? Adakias?!" he spoke in a hushed voice so not to alarm Aurianna had she been lingering nearby still. The small foal had wandered out of the cave whilst Eros was starry eyed over the mare and left to follow closely behind the Angeni's hooves. "Where is it that we're going?!" he finally exploded with anticipation, nipping on the long tail of the mare.
