Pach sensed her nervousness, and it only helped to feed his as well. He swallowed hard and took a deep breath finding the quiet place inside of him where the music lived. He drew it out, teasing it, until it filled him from the tips of his ears to the end of his tail. Now, the only question was what sort of dance should they do?
Beat had always liked the more upbeat sort of dances, the ones that had laughter in their center, but no matter how he tried he couldn't feel the music that led to such. He flicked his ears listening for the wind as Tin did when she danced, but the silence was almost palpable around them. Then faintly he heard it. Leaves rustling ever so slightly. He didn't know if it was a rabbit or a breeze but he'd take it for Tin's sake. He stamped one hoof letting out a deep brazen chime from the bell on his chest and then he felt it.
Pach twisted his head setting off the tiny bells in his mane, which sent silvery little notes across the grove like laughter. He then twisted and started to weave around Tin inviting her to join him in the dance.

Tin inhaled at the sound of the almost dangerous-sounding peal of the big bell, and rolled her head to one side. With the tiny chimes of the little bells, a breeze flew from the back of the grove to play in her mane and tail as the leaves around her neck rustled. She pranced on her front hooves, her earrings and hairsticks clinking against each other quietly.
The dance came automatically as Pach circled her. Turning, she trotted to move in the opposite direction, following the trees' guidance - the wind was picking up a little more today than usual... A sultry, spicy day, the trees said, and Tin became aware of just what that might mean. Becoming cautious and putting herself on a leash, she spun in a small circle that was concentric to the one that Pach made around her, mane whipping about. She rolled her shoulders back slightly and backed up, flicking Pach lightly and playfully with the end of her tail.

Pach grinned a little as her tail brushed against him. He tossed his own head sending out little chimes again and flicked his own tail against her, he spun quickly, and wove himself in and around her again, teasing, almost daring her to match him. Although part of him was still conscious Beat was watching, the larger part of him could only see Tin, drinking in every detail of his partner's body. Responding to her in ways he had never been able to with his mother when they danced.
It was like this every time they wove in and around each others songs and it was magical. It made him feel free and like he could fly. If ever there was a mare he could love freely and wholly...it was TinĂºviel, he thought to himself. He wasn't sure where that thought came from, but it felt..right. Where he had been uncertain of his feelings before, now there was only a growing realization that made all those doubts laughable in his mind and heart.
He spun again setting off bells and moving with the breeze that flicked around them toying with their manes and tails and smiled one again at the mare next to him.

Beat looked on in awe. The dance was so different than the ones he knew growing up. Their movements together were so fluid and precise, he almost began to think they were one entity.
Though at first he was unable to hear the music they were following, Beat felt he began to understand. Rather than follow the rhythmic pounding of hooves, the jingling of varying types of bells or even the buzzing from their father's wings; they seemed to be flowing with nature. He smiled, closing his eyes for a moment to just listen and try to further pick up on it. He felt he may never fully hear or understand what they heard, but to move like that was all he needed to see in the end. Opening his eyes again, he smiled at the two, unable to find anything to say to them further.

Tin saw Beat's smile out of the corner of her eye, and grinned at Pach. Laughter bubbled out of her as she twisted to keep Pach in view, trying to match his footwork. The little glowy emotions that she felt surrounding them were threatening to take her breath away. The bells and wind and tiny chiming sounds in her ears filled her up with the feeling that a saucy autumn was on it's way - or was it just the saucy dance? Growing bolder, Tin swung her hips a little and bounced over to Beat. Flicking her mane out of her eyes, she reached down to pull a little on his scarf, gesturing for him to get up and join them in the dance. If he didn't want to, that'd be fine, but hey... The more the merrier, right?

He shook his head at her, not sure how comfortable he'd feel trying to follow them to music he could barely hear or understand.
"Nono...I don't think I can..." He mumbled, feeling bad as he watched her return to her movements with Pach. His wings drooped a bit, swearing he saw a little bit of disappointment cross her face which caused him to feel even worse than he already did. Beat laid his ears back and continued to watch their movements for a few moments longer before swallowing and springing up between them.
The bell in his tail chimed in tune with the buzz of his wings. That same smile crept back across his face as he circled Tin.

Pach watched curiously as she moved to invite Beat to the dance. He felt some sense of relief when Beat refused to come along with the dance and Pach immediately moved to intercept Tin spinning and playfully teasing her with faint contacts of skin.
He immediately had to move away as Beat suddenly seemed to spring up between them. His eyes narrowed just slightly but he didn't break the rhythm, and just continued to move, but he felt something ugly inside of him rear up and threaten to lash out at Beat. While normally he would never begrudge his brother anything, this was different. Tin was his! He suddenly felt ashamed at this sudden wave of jealousy, unsure how to deal with it. He took a deep breath and spun to hide his face for a moment. Everything would be fine...he wanted them to be friends, he turned back and saw Beat smiling at her, and he nearly stopped. The little green monster reared its head again and rattled the bars of its cage.

Tin was a little disappointed at Beat's lack of a desire to join in, but returned gratefully to Pach. Tin smirked, a bit flirty, at Pach - and then Beat was there between them, dancing too. Dismay pinged in the pit of her stomach as she watched Pach turn away, his troubled expression concerning her. She didn't know what to do - all she could do was keep dancing. Stopping would just magnify and draw attention to whatever Pach was feeling, and by the look on his face, that wouldn't be a good thing.
Worried, she danced around Beat, trying to keep him included, but keeping him as far from herself as possible - something that she found was extremely difficult to do. Cutting toward Pach, she did a little four-step swish up to him. "Are you okay?" she murmured, trying to draw as little attention from Beat as possible. "We can be done, if you want," she said, feeling the raw, fiery emotion in her shoulders beginning to quiet anyway, like a sigh on a winter day. She watched Beat out of the corner of her eye, aware of where he was in relation to herself and Pach. If he got too close to them, she was a little afraid that she might snap at him to protect his brother... Not a good thing.

Pach glanced over at her and tried to smiled reassuringly, "Oh, I'm fine...I think I stepped on a rock is all." he said trying to toss it off. With her being near it was easier to control the sudden jealousy he'd felt. He didn't want to feel this way, he really didn't...but he also realized that some of his unease was by the fact he'd had yet to tell Tin how he felt about her. Of course she could treat Beat equally with him, maybe even flirt a little. Probably in her eyes they were on equal standing. That wasn't as comforting thought as he'd probably intended it be, but it was the only consolation he had at the moment.
In an attempt to make everything seem fine, he even swirled away from her to dance with is brother for a moment before preforming a little flourish with his hooves and then bowing to Beat and then to Tin ending the dance.

Beat smiled brightly at Tin as he danced around her, unaware of his brother's sudden looks towards them. While dancing wasn't his thing, he had to admit he was having fun. It was rare he got so involved with a dance without quickly becoming bored with it and bounding off to make noise or play elsewhere. He made several passes close to Tin, between the two and rarely circling his own brother with whom he was most accustomed to dancing with.
There was a slight hesitation in his movements, stumbling slightly as Pach came closer to him in the end. His attention quickly focused on the bow from his brother and backed off to bow slightly in return. That was it? He blinked, thinking over the possibilities of what was going on. It had seemed like there was far more to the dance and it was ended far too early.
"S-sorry, Tin...I don't normally dance..." Beat murmured, standing straight again to look between the two.

Smiling at both of the boys, Tin did her version of a curtsy - bending at the knees and bowing her head slightly. She was suspicious that Pach wasn't telling the truth about stepping on a rock - they always cleared the meadow off to protect their sensitive feet. They could have missed one, though... Looking at Beat, Tin said, "Sorry for what? You did well." She smiled again, feeling silly and uneasy. Turning to Pach, she nudged him and added, "Good job, by the way." She was consciously trying not to blush from being so forward with complimenting them, though she knew it wouldn't show under her dark coat.
Lifting her head to look at the sky, Tin was suddenly aware of what time it was. She hadn't been gone that long, but she was sure that someone would notice - even half an hour was a long time for someone to disappear in the herd. Everyone always knew where everyone else was. "I should be heading back," Tin murmured to Pach, a little concerned about what Beat might do if she suddenly left. He might think that she didn't like him again, and that wasn't something that she wanted him to do.

Pach colored slightly at the compliment, then watched her suddenly look upwards. He knew that that meant, and it depressed him every time. "Already, so soon?" he asked his ears drooping slightly. It always seemed to come sooner and sooner. He wondered if there would ever be a day when they didn't have to worry about such things like the time. If ever a day existed it seemed to be far off.
He glanced over at Beat. "She's gotta head home." he said by way of explanation.

"Home? Already? But..." Beat paused and looked over at the horizon. The sun was still high enough in the sky to give plenty of daylight. How far could she live that it took her until night fall to get home, he wondered. Shaking his head, Beat nodded to Tin and looked away shyly.
"It was nice meeting you..." He murmured and turned to head back towards the edge of the forest and away from his brother whose mood had suddenly gone south.

Tin smiled sadly at the brothers. "Yeah," she said, and gave her explanation: "I can't be out too long or else people in my herd notice that I'm gone. It was nice to meet you, too." Turning toward the bushes slightly, a thought crossed her mind and she stopped. Glancing back toward the boys, she grinned at Pach. "Same time tomorrow?" she asked; the question was pretty much rhetorical. Whenever she had free time, she would get away, and she was off chore duty this week... Lots of opportunity, but not very much time.
"I'll see you later, Beat," she added, and pushed the bushes gently out of her way as she headed toward the path home.

Pach watched her go and nodded eagerly. "If you have the time." he said knowing that sometimes she just couldn't get away. He watched her go, and sighed a bit wistfully then turned to go over to his brother. He felt he had some explaining to do.
