"Oh Eli, we know the dangers. And you are not leading us into them, we are proudly stepping out into them because we believe in the cause. I know my lack of magic is very dangerous in a magical world, but I would gladly step into any danger because I know I'm doing something good and right," she smiled, "because that's who I am. I don't need to do it for you or for the kingdorm or anything. At it's heart, I'm doing it because I want to do what is right for anyone I can do right for."
It was true, despite her love for Eli she didn't have to do this. She could bow out, not wanting to be a distraction to him due to his love for her or fear for her safety. But Kamiko did not bow down from a fight if others were being wrongfully hurt or tormented. She was a protector, a defender; she was born to be this way and she embraced it.
"Now that we have that all out we can concetrate on other things. Now eat your sandwich, it is a horrible crime to waste good bacon," she giggled and went to eat her own sandwich. Ok so maybe being a dog made wasting bacon a crime.
"By the way, care to explain Catnip Sake?" she grinned around her sandwich.
