A groan of despair, oh god they liked each other, they WOULD like each other, apocalyptic, that’s what it was.
“Ever…His name is Ever and if I catch him sleeping I’m smothering him with a pillow… besides there should be some kind of exemption for killing tiny squalling pre-humans who beat on the cases and scream ‘I want candy’ till their so called ‘parents’ stuff a twirl-pop up their piggy little sinuses.”
He relented from ‘hiding’ enough to stare over the curve of his arm at Ever and well shrouded by the now well messed flip of his bangs. It was defiantly a ‘I know where you sleep, you’ll be drowning in ‘chocolate body paint’ ‘sugar’” kind of look.
“How did you even…I never told you…” He sputtered.

"You mentioned the mall." Ever grinned at him, fingers swiping more hair into his face before he pulled his hands back and just let Zac be. It was probably a short-lived peace, temporary instead of long term, before the tormenting kicked in again. There was too much he could say, and it all jumbled together until he couldn't decide. Something about Zac knowing exactly where he slept? Something about just having to keep them both awake?
Instead of choosing, he shrugged at Daphne, straightening as he did. He was comically taller than Zac, more comfortable in this situation. Of course, it wasn't his job on the line here, nor his coworkers. "I try not to define things, really. I'm Ever. I sleep over sometimes. You'd have to ask him about the rest."

"That's probably for the best. Too much definition and you might as well lock someone in the dam...er, darn closet." Eyes looked over Ever's back around the store to make sure there were not any impressionable ears within hearing. That was the last thing she needed was for some overbearing mother of a five year old, who probably used that same 'awful language' at home, complaining and getting her written up.
Giving Zac reasons to be grumpy was only fun when she was actually teasing him herself. "It's nice to meet you though Ever. And geez Zac you don't have to say anything. The look on your face alone pretty much says everything even if I wasn't totally brilliant. And I am by the way." Modesty of her mental faculties was something that Daphne had never acquired at all during her life time. She saved it all for other things.
With a bit of a smirk she nodded. "I approve though." As if she needed to!

“Ok any further thoughts about sleeping over get to be discontinued NOW….” He said burying his face in his arms again. A long pause, or what seemed like one for him passed before he realized that his co-worker, whom he liked well enough for having a strong resemblance to his former General, had passed approval on his, well his Boyfriend.
“I’m so glad you approve.” He mumbled into his arms. “And I’m hating you both for deductive skills right now, any skills actually. Are we finished making me turn red now? Your not –really- here after that…that STUFF are you?”

Ever blinked at the question, wide eyes turning back down on Zac. They didn't at all match the wide smile still plastered across his mouth, the raised eyebrow. Teasing and innocent at the same time, he licked his lips and then asked the question very slowly.
"Here after what stuff, sugar?" He wanted Zac to say 'chocolate body paint'. No, definitely not done making him blush.
