Word of mouth travled fast around here. As soon as Specter heard about the meeting, he got a move on. Arriving, he noticed a big crowd was forming already, but to him, they didn't all look like dogs with true professions were the only ones arriving... He didn't say anything as he moved in and sat down near the large great dane. Crowds was not something Forget me not was known to be ANYWHERE near. Due to her past, she wasn't prone to want anything to do with other dogs. Born a show dog, and turned into a bait dog, she tended to stay away from other dogs. So overhearing other dogs talking, she heard about this meeting. While she didn't want to go because of the meeting part, she wanted to see how much it may effect her. As cautious as she was, she was still smart about it. With her scar, and torn off ear, she would never have passed for an owned dog, so she chose to lurk around the side of the building, settling her large frame within hearing distance in a nearby hedge.

Slime saw the clown-like pitbull emerge from the shadows behind a dumpster up ahead. Past him he saw a growing crowd of dogs gathering for the meeting. He stepped closer and heard the pitbull speak. In answer to the dog's question, Slime gave a low chuckle. "Heh, looks like a pretty lame party to me," he scoffed. He gave the other dog a once over and sneered with distaste. He never trusted a newcomer, no matter what their appearance, though this dog looked to be one of his type, an outcast.
Poison stood back behind Slime a few feet, wondering what would happen here. He had seen Slime fight before, but hoped he wouldn't start anything right now, especially so close to the police station. Hoping to ease a bit of the tension, he asked "What's going on out there?"

Pippin wagged his stub of a tail at Wiley. He didn't like to stereotype, but German Shepherds were always such good officers. Very reliable, if, y'know. On the tall side. As another dog joined them, a red-splotched Australian shepherd, Pippin looked her over≥ She didn't appear to be part of the force; if she was, she was new and excitable. She looked strong; a working dog of some kind, and sweet enough. But sometimes sweet wasn't safe. "I am quite well, Officer Wiley. Very much hoping you are, too! And- indeed we have, Officer Wiley. Very dangerous indeed! I think we ought to interrogate her..." Turning to the Aussie, he looked up at her with a grin and a wink. "Ok, Miss! I'm Officer Pippin, and I have some questions! How are you today? Lovely sunny day for a meeting, isn't it!"
"A house pet, eh? That must be the life, people feedin' you at all hours and never having to worry about anybody taking a snap at you." Boston looked the Doberman up and down. He certainly looked as though he could be a fine police dog; the trouble must be temperamental or something. Shame. He looked awfully tough for a house pet. Still... eh, house pets might be guard dogs, too. Maybe he just lived in a bad neighborhood. She wasn't gonna comment on that; she knew all too well what bad neighborhoods were like. She saw them every day.

She'd caught wind that word was the police chief had requested the presence of...well a lot of dogs. Or so it sounded. The little agility corgi female huffed as her little feet padded along the ground. She was probably going to end up being one of the last to arrive! But dangit! She would so be there. Shasta's ears flicked alertly the closer she got until...oh! Oh wow there was a crowd forming. Oh yes. Definitely one of the last ones. She snorted, unphased by this. Just meant she missed getting a 'front row' spot was all. The corgi maneuvered herself as close as she could, weaving around the legs of larger dogs and uttering a series of small, "'scuse me!" along the way until she was somewhere she deemed close enough to hear (and maybe see) what was said or happened.

Event Horizen was trotting along the sidewalk on his way to a meeting called by Santos, a Great Dane he called boss most days but today he called him 'the son of a gun' who made his shifts all nights all this week, then get up early for this. He tried to get as much sleep as he could but it felt like it was very little to him, he was anything but bright eye'd and bushy tail this morning. Event was able to move at a good pase because of his size, people saw him coming and gave way, it also helped that he had rather long legs. He made it to the meeting in no time at all but was a bit taken back at the site of all the dog that where already here. He was rarely late, how could there be so many of his colleagues here already. 'Damn! I wanted to lay down up front' He mentally wined and with a sigh he sat in the back of the pack.

With a curious tilt of his head Vegas smiled at Blayze. She was indeed a working dog like himself and he felt an immense respect for her career. In the past he had worked alongside many search and rescue dogs after an earthquake occurred that had nearly leveled and entire city only an hour drive from his old station.
With a smile he dipped his head in response to her compliment and did his best to reply without making the situation seem awkward. "Why thank you Blayze... you're very beautiful yourself. " For a moment he paused, thinking about how best to keep the conversation going. "So, what brings you to this meeting?" Not the smoothest transition ever but Vegas was never known for being a very charismatic canine.
Rostam jumped slightly upon being spoken too by the husky. He wasn't sure why but he really hadn't expected anyone to talk to him and the voice and question directed at him had caught him by surprise. Regaining his composure and hoping he didn't look too much like an imbecile he nodded his head in greeting before offering up a reply "Hi Milo. I'm Rostam. Glad to meet you." His voice was deep and somewhat raspy from lack of use, being a stray didn't really offer much chance for conversation and honestly Rostam was pretty reserved so even if there was an opportunity to strike up conversation he very rarely took it.
His eyes strayed then to the purple dog that was sitting next to Milo, he could swear he'd seen the dog somewhere before. Of course, he'd seen lots of dogs so he wasn't too concerned, instead he tried to draw him into the conversation. "Dark Stranger huh? Makes you sound sort of dangerous in a way but you don't look like you run with one of the gangs."

Arimik smiles truthfully. you have no idea how I want that life. "Yeah, its the life, just not the life I wanted." He said the last bit in an undertone that only he could hear referring to his current predicament as an informant. He could feel her sizing him up. heh, some house pet. I run the streets at night. The less she questions the better. He let the subject lie, since she obviously didn't want to pry, he wasn't going to openly give information out. What kind of informant would he be? A bad one, Mind on business. The quicker you get the information the sooner you never have to see the Akita again. A pang of regret ran through him. Now there's a thought. I must be loosing my mind. I can't possibly want to risk everything on having a friend. Bah, no good thinking on it never works anyway. He absently stares up at Santos jealous of the great dane's luck. How he wished he was the police dog chief. That he could have friends, that luck was on his side not the chief's. Sighing he lets it go. Fate will do what it wants, I have no right to be jealous of others, it was my fault I ended up like this.
Milo cocked his head a little not enough to draw suspicion. The dark stranger huh, 'm gonna have to keep an eye out. "Its nice to meet you both." He openly grins. Milo has never been the one to show any form of animosity towards others, be it strays or not. Hmm, I wonder, the dark stranger....Oh, well. Back to why I'm really here. The service vests. Milo put the matter out of his head and returned his attention to Santos.

Wiley chuckled. A little humour was good before what looked like a serious meeting. "Don't forget your name now, miss. Wouldn't be a proper interrogation if we didn't have your name on record." The officer laughed. His blue eyes twinkled with mischief, but a layer of worry was hidden beneath. He scanned the crowd, finding many faces he knew. Some he recognized as rookies, others as seasoned officers. But there were also many faces Wiley didn't know. While he could admit that the department was very big, there shouldn't be this many faced that he didn't know. His tail began to wag nervously. The Shepherd gave himself a quick shake to smooth his hackles down and adjusted his position. He sat up tall and straight, resting on all his paws, ready to spring into action if need be.
Chuckie glared at the green and purple dogs for a moment before answering. He was debating whether or not he wanted to rip their throats out. It been such a dull morning. A little bit of screaming and blood would surely liven the day up. Chuckie made ready to spring, but suddenly he remembered that he was outside the police station. He snarled his frustration with a loud roar. He pounced onto an invisible piece of prey and flopped over onto his back, growls turning into a series of high-pitched giggles. "What's the matter, pretty boy?" Chuckie asked the purple and green spaniel. "Not invited?" He rolled back over, face snapping into a serious expression. "Santos," Chuckie spat the name out, "Called all his little police buddies over to the station this morning for a big pow-wow." Chuckie sat down in-between the pair. "Rumor has it, something big is gonna happen. Why else would these strays be here?" The pitbull turned to look at the spaniel. His head titled to the side and he gave him a manic grin. "Catch my drift?" Chuckie bust out laughing, flopping to the ground once more in a fit of giggles.

Basil walked through the town relived when he finally founded the police station. Judging by the crowed that was outside he was late to the meeting witch did surprise him. He had gotten lost several times on his way over. He was new to the town having just moved a few days ago. In his old town he worked Airport security. He wondered briefly if this town had an airport and if not what he job would be. He moved through the crowed until he found a spot to sit.

The dark purple corgi attempted to sit up on her haunches to peer over other dogs. If she sat juuuust right, she could see to the front. But it took some effort. With a snort, she sat back down, ears flicking around at all the different conversations taking place. Movement from her side drew her pale gold gaze. Oooh! This dog was small like she was too! It made her suddenly feel better about this spot. Not that she hadn't been annoyed by it to begin with or anything. It was just nice to have a fellow small dog nearby. Shasta offered the blue and black dachshund next to her a friendly canine grin.
"Hi there! Do you know anything 'bout what's going on?" She asked him.

"This guy's nuts," he thought to himself rolling his eyes as he watched the pitbull's antics. Walking past the dumpster, he stopped at the end of the alley, still hidden in the shadows and behind a newspaper stand. He could now see the police station and the white great dane sitting at the head of the crowd. Whispering over his shoulder, "Santos, he a white great dane with a star on his collar and rose on his shoulder?" he asked.
Poison kept his eyes on the strange pitbull. "Invited? No, we're crashing this party. Slime heard some things about it, but we wanted to check it out ourselves." This guy sort of freaked him out with his grinning and laughing. "Dog, what sort of freak are you?" he spat as he joined Slimeball at the end of the alley. There were many other dogs here, some that Poison recognized. He had even socialized with some of them. Most other dogs shunned him for socializing with an outcast like Slimeball though, and so Poison usually didn't try making friends with other dogs in town. He noticed a lot of police dogs here today. "Slime, we gotta watch our backs. There's a bunch of cops walking around." he whispered to the green dog. He looked back over his shoulder to see where the weird pitbull had gone.

Basil shifted standing on his legs trying to see the front and who was sitting on the steps. Spotting a white Great Dane sitting in front of the crowed Basil assumed he was the one who had set up the meeting there also appeared to be some vests near him. He sighed as someone shifted cutting off his view of the front. Sitting down he noticed a purple corgi smiling at him. He smiled back. “Hello I’m afraid I don’t know what’s going on either. But judging from that fact that there are vests near the Great Dane it seems like something really important. My name’s Basil.”

"Wileus and Pippin..." She gave a bubble of a laugh as she committed the named to memory and wiggled. "Oh, I came to do more than just listen. I'm going to help you boys out if you need it!" It might have sounded like a joke had her eyes not held a glint of determination. She was, under that giggly exterior, entirely serious about helping out. What else would she come for?

The shepherd turned back to the red merle Aussie and grinned. "A volunteer, eh? Well, I'm sure the department would be glad for your help. So long as it doesn't get too dangerous of course." Wiley added. It would not do to put an innocent civilian, especially one as sweet as this, in unnecessary danger. As enthusiastic as she was, the Aussie didn't look like she was cut out to fight dirty criminals. Wiley decided that he better keep an eye on her just in case she got too involved.
Chuckie growled and jumped up. "Mind your manners, flea bag." Chuckie snarled at the purple and green spaniel. "Or I'll tear that loose jaw of yours right off." How dare he throw an insult like that! Especially since Chuckie had done them the favour of not killing them. Unintelligent brutes. The pitbull slumped against the wall near the green Kai Ken and turned his attention to the police station. "Yeah, that's him alright. The main reason why us poor, unfortunate souls can't make an honest living around here. His officers don't seem to understand the concept of finder's keepers." Chuckie gave the Kai Ken a nasty grin. "Or stealer's keepers."

Blayze grinned widely at Vegas. "Why thank you." She said with a small giggle. She sobered up at his next question. "Well I wanted to see what the Chief of Police Dogs had to say with this meeting. If its something serious and big, I thought maybe I could somehow help out. I may not have police training but I do have training for emergencies." She nodded and then turned to look at the crowd. There were all kinds of dogs here and some seemed to be like her from another occupation.
Doyle looked at Rostam and nodded. "Yeah I'm more of a solo dog. But it's nice to meet you too Rostam." He said looking at Milo from the corner of his eye. Seemed this one didn't have anything to say about how he introduced himself. "Dark Stranger is just what my name translates to is all. I'm not dangerous at all. Just curious."
