The way this man spoke of the namesake of this place made Sophia question her choice to come here. She sounded...much different than she had imagined. But the venom in his voice was enough to scare her into believing him; surely you couldn't hate someone that much if they were a good person, yes? Sophia decided that he must be telling at least most of the truth. Details could easily change things, and she intended to get those later.

The explanation about the Moon Faction Queen seemed...strange to her. Why would people rebel against someone who was obviously trying to simply protect her lands? Overpopulation was a major problem, even from where Sophia was from, and closing off immigration seemed like a perfectly acceptable (if a bit hasty) solution. What had caused Enfaya to rebel against the Queen? But these questions were soon voiced by another in the room, one with a small tree as well. Sophia watched her as she spoke, and then noted the way she seemed to withdraw in on herself afterward, as if embarrassed by what she'd said. But she brought up a good point: before this meeting, Sophia hadn't known anything about the Moon Faction or anything related to it. How had this man found her and managed to send her a letter?
"Is my address even registered? Do they do that here?" She wondered, her mouth quirking downward a little. Something seemed fishy about this whole situation.

Suddenly, Sophia noticed a new addition to the room: yet another girl. But this one was young, very young; young enough, in fact, to startled Sophia. This seemed like an awful lot of responsibility, and this girl couldn't have been more than twelve or thirteen years old. How could she possibly care for another life on her own? But something about her, the way she carried herself, perhaps, said to Sophia that this girl was wise beyond her years. With a rather wary glance at this little girl once more, Sophia turned her attention back to the man sitting upon the throne, wondering if he would answer their questions.

The one thing Kerberos could give them credit for, was at least they were all wondering about the tale. While he may have left a few things out of the story, they were things they didn’t need to know for now. To Rasslyre, he smiled, that was a smart one. “Voren has been sealed out of the portals since the dark queen was sealed away, he has no way of knowing where the seedlings are going, and which fraction they are joining. Simply speaking, he does his job and doesn’t question the orders.” The one thing the general did not know was that Voren had not been sealed off completely from Sanctum, however Voren only showed up for very special circumstances. In each case, to bring forth spirites and giving away seedlings.

Next came Pyper. “I am general Kerberos, the last surviving member fo the queens court before we were all hunted down like animals.” Not so true, almot all those of the moon fraction had gone into deep hiding, or had been killed in the war. He ignored her question about Voren, he presumed his previous answer would be enough for them, if not they could all deal with the queen when she returned. “I personally don’t know why Enfaya would do such an act, but it is an act of treason and will not be tolerated.” In truth, he only knew part of the reason why The Sun fractions leader had sealed the queen away, but again. It was information they could be given when the queen arrived. Kerberos was getting impatient, they needed to hurry up and get things started.

The general hadn’t heard the fist part of what Seru had said, but he certainly had the second. “We will need to combine the 4 items together, and once the item has been returned to it’s original form we will need to say the enchantment to unseal the queen.” Nothing complicated, but Kerberos had needed the help of four patrons to do this. He had Voren to thank for giving him patrons, even if the elf knew what he had done or not. “When the moon is highest in the sky is when we can begin. We still have a few more minutes until that happens.” Kerberos glanced at the other patron that walked in, this one only a child. Only Voren would give him a child to work with.

“As for how I found you all, it’s not hard when treelings are attracted to Patrons.” We whistled softly, and five little plump root beings wobbled over to Kerberos. They all tried to hide behind his legs, hugging him like a mother hen. The general grunted and kicked one aside before pointing towards the patrons. “Go on, pick an owner and be done with it.” The treelings all glanced up at Kerberos uncertainly before wobbling over to the group. Each treeling took the side of of of the woman and hugged onto their legs. “Here’s a gift, use them well. Offer them names and they will be loyal to you and you only until you lose them.”

Seru grinned like a woman looking at a fluffy kitten as one of the treelings wobbled over to her, and hugged her leg. She crouched, and scooped it up in one arm, a small, plump thing she thought of like a toddler, and snuggled it in one arm, her potted Spark in the other. "I'm going to call you... Hoshi~!" Seru smiled, and then snuggled the tiny thing happily, before turning her attention back to the man before her.

(OMG. I just realized that... the moon faction is entirely made up of...women. This is going to be interesting...)

"I see..." Pyper replied. The answer wasn't really as filling as she hoped it would be. It left her only more curious. But if she pried, who knew what would happen? Frowning a little, she decided it was better to not bring about Kerberos's wrath. She was surprised however, when he offered them gifts; perhaps one of the cutest little creature that Pyper had ever seen. It waddled over to her and attached itself to her leg. "Awww," she whispered, reaching down and scooping it up. "I'll call you Yggdra." Yggdra wiggled happily in her grasp, seemingly content with her choice of name.

((sorry so short. I'm sick, and cant really think straight. xD;

and omg lol, yes all women. xD))

Rasslyre was beginning to get the feeling that she and the others were not getting the full story here. Even as trusting as she was, there was still something off about the entirety of the situation. She sighed softly however, it was not as if she could call on a bluff or lie of any kind, so she held her tongue. Rasslyre rocked back onto her heels as Kerberos introduced himself and then spoke of the gruesome fate that has befallen the other member's of the Queen's Court. This sounded like a full scale coup from the sounds of things, but if the Queen had been as fair and great as this Kerberos has claimed, then why was there such a violent uprooting of her and her court by the.. rebels. Moreover, she may have only met Voren once, but he seemed a good enough person. Definitely not someone who would go out of his way to steal all of those seedlings, only to meticulously search and seek out viable patrons for the seeds. Once again, things were not adding up.

Her curiosity of the summoning was voiced by another of the present women, and as Kerberos explained, her attention was piqued. She listened to the process mutely, several questions already on the tip of her tongue. The change of subject to how he had found them confused her. Treelings? What in the world were treelings? Blinking, she tilted her head to the side slightly, picking up several pairs of soft padding footsteps. Her brow furrowed in confusion as the patrons whom had been standing closer to Kerberos began to react to whatever it was that the General had sent to approach them. Since there was only soft exclamations and… proclamations of names?

There were suddenly something attached to her leg, well, perhaps not attached, but something was hugging her leg like a small child would. Thoroughly confused, Rasslyre managed to realize that whatever it was, it meant her no harm. She waited for a moment to see if Kerberos would elaborate at all, and sure enough he spoke of giving gifts, and telling the patrons to offer names. She frowned, slowly kneeling down while detaching the… treeling from her left leg. She reached out and was able to determine this little creature was about the size of a small toddler, and it's hands patted her own palms as she reached towards it.

"I suppose a fitting name should be decided upon for you." she murmured in a soft voice. "How about… Tsahik? Or are you a female little one? Should I offer another more fitting name?"

The little creature seemed to have no protest for the offered name, so Rasslyre straightened up, pausing when she felt the little thing take a fistful of her long skirt and pull softly. Reaching down with one hand she felt a tiny little hand grab onto hers, and she carefully closed her fingers around it before turning her head back towards where she knew Kerberos stood. She supposed if she had come this far, there was little point in resisting. She was involved now and she doubted anything would change that at any foreseeable point in the future.

--------------

((LOL, I figured this group needed a tad bit more testosterone given that all the patrons are females. So… I tried for a more masculine name. ; u ; ))

[[ /sneaks in a post even though it's technically late/ > U>; ]]

Sophia listened to all that this man, whom she now knew was named Kerberos, had to say in response to their questions. She was still a bit confused, but looked up at a small skylight when the moon was mentioned. She had never been good at telling the time by where the moon or sun was in the sky, so she would not know when it was at its highest point. But it didn't really matter; this man, apparently, would be able to tell.

A soft pressure around her calf drew her away from the moon, and she looked down to see a small...creature hugging her tightly. It was silent, staring at her with big eyes, and as she crouched down to look at it more closely, she still could not tell exactly what it was. Kerberos had called them 'treelings,' so she assumed that was what they were. She had never seen one before, and as she stared at it, the little thing stared right back. Quietly, almost to herself, she murmured a name:
"Ankur..." She scooped the little thing up in one arm, marveling at how light it was, and cradled it against her hip. The creature proceeded to bury its face in the crook of her neck, making a small chirrup-like noise. She had to admit that it was rather cute, even if she had no idea what it even was. She assumed that she would have to get used to a lot of strange things in this world; hopefully, she could handle them all.

Thealin raised a brow at the creature that had attached itself to her leg... or side really, given how tiny she was. She was tempted to throw it off, but the little creature looked up at her with eyes like a whelp to its mother and she let out a sigh. She patted it on the head; warriors were good. Here, where she couldn't transform, she needed all the warriors she could get. She poke to it softly, "Ah, so you would protect me, hmm? I shall call you... Tavian, protegalin, I think," she said to the treeling. It seemed to understand her, even when the voice she spoke in was nothing more than a series of growls, snarls, and thrumbs in her chest.

The treeling nodded and stood firm in front of her, if it still had one hand on her. And shook a little.

She'd fix that. She turned her bright gaze back to the group at hand, hand on the head of the treeling. "How are we to 'unseal' your Queen?" she asked in what she would call "Common Tongue," something the rest could understand her in, her voice crisp, precise, and held an authority her appearance hid. She was the Black Queen, the mightest dragon queen Dracne had ever had (though The Emerald Queen had her beat in size), and with that came an authority she was very much used to using. She waited calmly for a reply, though a faint breeze curled around her, moving her hair this way and that.

Pleased that all the woman were happy with their gifts, and who wouldn’t be happy with treelings anyways? Kerberos got up and clapped. “Alight, now that we have that finished. Just remember these are little children to coddle, they do kill people.” A lot of fights were done with treelings, they could get savage. “In any case, why don’t you all get acquainted while I go and setup. You always need allies in war.” And with that He grabbed his cloak and stalk off to the side into another chamber. He needed to make sure the items were still together and that a fire would be burning to keep everyone warm. Things were about to get really interesting, Kerberos was sure Enfaya was going to show up at some point during the night, hence why he had given the patrons treelings. He could not, and would not protect everyone. As they soon would learn, war was an ugly thing, and you always needed to be prepared.

Rasslyre tilted her head slightly in bemusement as she heard Kerberos retreat away from the group, leaving them with the suggestion of acquainting themselves with each other. Moreover, had he said war. Wait a minute, this all seemed rather urgent and rushed, not to mention he had just said that it was their seedlings that would grow into the warriors. It was not like Rasslyre was against meeting new people, but given the circumstances she was understandably a bit apprehensive. She frowned as silence seemed to settle over the group left behind by the general, before having her attention diverted by feeling the small hand detached itself from her own and began to tug again on her long skirt. It made a single staccato chirruping sound before reaching with it's other hand to tug at her wrist, so that one was pulling at the fabric of her skirt and the other at her bangle covered wrist. Rasslyre attempted to find it's hand again, but the slapping away of her hand actually had her raising her eyebrows down at the little creature. Despite what she had quite literally heard Kerberos say, these antic sure resembled those of a small child.

The surprisingly strong pull on her arm by both hands of the treeling was accompanied with another string of chirps, and Rasslyre sighed. Taking a guess at what the small creature wanted, she turned slightly, and reached down towards it. The chubby little thing jumped into her arms rather quickly, and as she lifted it carefully and rested it on her hip, she wondered how it could be so light. Seemingly content now, Tsahik settled in her arms and allowed Rasslyre to turn her focus back on the people around her.

She had located the others based on where she had heard their voices after Kerberos asked for any inquiries, but she was not inclined to try to not to venture from her current spot. She had discovered on her way here that Vritra was definitely not a place that had been designed to be friendly for those with sight impediments. The dense forest had many low lying roots, shrubs, and such that tripped and scraped up Rasslyre's hands and forearms. She had been extraordinarily lucky to not fall on her face on the way to this meeting, and had no intention of doing so in front of the others gathered. She did turn so she was facing the others rather than the spot where Kerberos had been standing several moments before.

((Wow, it literally took me three times to spell Vritra correctly. I kept typing "Vriska". /facedesk. ))

"Ah, wait... how could these cute little things hurt a soul?" Seru grumbles a bit, and then looks around quietly at his suggestion to get to know the others in this area.

"So... What's everyone's names?" Seru asked softly, shifting the Spark and the Treeling as best she can, trying her best not to drop or hurt either of them.

(This could be... the scariest army... Ever. @.@)

As uncomfortable as holding both a potted plant and a small treeling was, Sophia knew that putting the treeling down was not an option; the thing was clinging to her like she was its mother, and continued to make quiet chirping noises into her neck, peeking out every once in a while. She had to admit that it was rather cute, with its cubby legs and arms, and its round little belly, but it was still strange enough to cause a bit of hesitation on her part. She turned her attention back to the stage as Kerberos began to speak again, and allowed herself to sigh quietly, knowing that asking any more questions would be useless at this point; it was obvious that this man was quite irritated with all of them, so she resolved to simply abide by his wishes for the time being.

Get to know each other? Well, Sophia normally wouldn't have had much of a problem with that, but she was hesitant now. She was in a strange place, full of strange people, strange-looking creatures, and now she had to make buddy-buddy with even more strangers? Awesome. She let out another tired sigh, hitching the treeling higher on her hip and shifting her weight to her other leg. She looked around that the other women in the room, swallowing anxiously, before clearing her throat.

"U-Um, just to make it easy, I'm... I'm Sophia," she announced, offering a rather uneasy smile to all the women. She chose not to move too far from her current spot, a little off to the side from the center of the room, as she never really liked being the complete center of attention. Now that she thought about it, maybe she shouldn't have just announced herself like that. Oh, crap. Well, it was too late to take it back now, but her cheeks flushed lightly in embarrassment, and she held the pot and the treeling closer to her, no doubt trying to put up a psychological barrier.

Pyper gave a sigh of temporary relief once Kerberos disappeared. He was gone...for now. She quietly looked around at the others before her before setting down her treeling and walking closer to the strangers; hooves clacking on the ground. Her tail swung back and forth as Yggdra followed her, with little arms waggling about as if trying to grasp hold of the white fluff before her. Pyper turned, looking over her shoulder at the thing, finding it a tad funny. How could these cute creatures be warriors? And would they really need them in the near future? But before her mind could wander, she remembered. Oh yes, she was introducing herself, wasn't she? "Ah, my name....is Pyper. It's nice to meet all of you."

It didn’t take long for the moon to reach its peek and all preparations to be made, the only thing left to do was get everyone in place and the queen would return. If they hadn’t had enough time to mingle, well too bad, they had to get started now. Kerberos stalked back into the hall. “Alright hurry up, we need to get started!” With a hand motion he beckoned them into the next room. The room was bare, a fire in the middle with circles and symbols written on the floor. There was a circle of a different color for each of the patrons in the room; in this circle was a rock like object of the same color. Thankfully, the only thing that they didn’t need, and Kerberos should thank Enfaya for this, was a sacrifice to return the queen.

Once everyone had taken their place, the only thing they would need to do was put the stone back together and he would say the enchantment. Kerberos had made sure no one would be able to get through; guards had been posted all around. There would be no way for Enfaya to stop the queens return this time, and he would make sure she would stay here with them.

"Alright... In this circle, right?" Seru murmured, after nodding to each of the others who introduced themselves, and following Kerebos, a little warily, and she set her Spark and Treeling (although it was reluctant to let go) down so she could pick up the stone, curious about it, and turning it over in her hands.

Rasslyre did not need to wait very long for someone else to take the initiative to start small talk. She did manage to catch the softer statement concerning the treelings, and silently questioned Kerbero's words herself. Appearances could be deceiving and all, but these creatures were the size of toddlers and from what she could hear and experience from her own treelling, they hardly seemed like the soldiers Kerberos claimed they were. Moving on however, Rasslyre still a bit confused about how exactly things had progressed to the present state of affairs. She had come here after receiving an obscure letter for answers, and it seems like she had been somehow roped into choosing a side in a longstanding war that was native to this new world. A small quirk of her lips displayed her amusement openly, for even as uncomfortable as she might be at the moment with the current situation, Rasslyre knew that had she not accepted the seed from Voren that her life would have played out to be much more mundane. She hated boredom.

Shrugging off any reservations, she decided she might as well just go with things as they were now. It's not like she was really getting much of a choice anyways. As the others within the chamber slowly introduced themselves, Rasslyre attempted to note names, voices, and placement of the people around her for future reference. After waiting to see if anyone else would speak again, she spoke simply, "I'm Rasslyre. It's a pleasure to meet you all." After she finished, she paused for a moment in indecision. Shifting her weight from one foot to another, she sighed softly before adding on, "I know my name can be a bit of a mouthful. Please feel free to call me Lyae as well if you prefer."

She heard the footsteps then, and turning her head towards them, she was greeted with the returned blurry presence and voice of General Kerberos once more. It seemed their time granted to socialize was up, and now it was time to begin. Tsahik seemed to become a bit more lively at the proclamation and began to wiggle in her arms, forcing Rasslyre to awkwardly attempt to shift the being and keep a hold of her walking stick at the same time. The sounds of movement surrounded her, and as she juggled her treelling in her arms, Rasslyre made to follow the rustling of cloth and audile footsteps of the others. After a few moments of struggling, Rasslyre gently set the little creature on the ground and took a hold of it's chubby little hand before carefully making her way behind the others.

'No going back now' she sighed, pausing as she stepped into a new open space along with the other Patrons. Rasslyre wasn't close enough to catch the exact words, but one of the others mentioned something about a circle. She tried to place a name to the voice, but realized that while she did recognize the voice as the person who had asked about everyone's names, Rasslyre had not caught the speaker's name. Brushing the thought aside, Rasslyre looked around the room, sighing in relief as she noticed that it was illuminated by a fire in the center of it. While the light provided was minimal, it was better than the darkness from the last chamber they had been in, and she was able to make out several differing colored and decorated circles upon the floor. Piecing things together, Rasslyre figured that she would do the same in stepping into the closest unoccupied circle. At it's center was what looked to be some sort of rock and before she could stop him, Tsahik had disengaged himself from her hand and toddled over to it, poking at it curiously and pushing it closer to her.
