They had lost. Zue had fainted after that last attack, and Zak returned the pokemon to its pokeball for a nice long rest. "Good Job," You did your best Zue.
Turning his attention to his opponent. "Nice match, your Rattata is quite the fighter"

"So's your Zubat," Genesis replied with a nod. "He put up quite a challenge."
Then, with a wave, "Thanks for the battle; I hope I'll see you around again!"
Leto crowed her victory when the Zubat was recalled, tail waving earnestly with the high that followed a battle well fought and won. She would have liked to stay and battle some more, but when she saw her trainer leave, she quickly followed, tired but pleased.
