Now she felt as if a great weight had been lifted, and was able to giggle as he blurted out what his mother had told him. That was...cute. She liked that, even if he had the same sense she did, she could surprise him. That boded well.
But as he asked if there were any others, that made Scar want to roll her eyes. The lioness snorted. "If there were, you think I'd be asking you? I don't know how lionesses do things in this part of the world, but in my experience, if a lioness had suitors, she wouldn't say anything to any one that she didn't want."
A coy lioness could easily play several males off each other. But she'd never offer anything permanent to any of them if she didn't mean it. At least, not if she was like Tishkari who hated lies with a passion.

He felt a shifting of persona almost. Tilting his head again in confusion but he put it to the back of his head. He was sure he had a sibling who had that same persona-switch so he kept quiet.
"They tend to be the one in charge of things. If we are chosen by one, a male moves from the clan he's from to her's." He chuckled under his tone. "You pose a good response Tishkari.. I to have no.. females on my case for my mate-hood. Mind you I am mostly related to the pride." Thinking of his lineage. "But like my father has before me, I would love to stand at the side of someone finding her home inside my pride." He dipped his head.
"I will enjoy getting to know you in this.. pact." Tsis' eyes looked into her's for a moment. Feeling her emotional balance more now. He felt welcome to do this now.

She hadn't realized that it was, in the Elawadiyi, at least, the lioness who made the choice. And she'd chosen, just now. It was kind of scary to contemplate, the fact that she'd just offered to share her life with this lion. She'd only just met him! But...
But it felt right. In that way that this pride, of all the others she'd heard of and encountered, felt right. He was quiet and polite, but she could almost feel a great depth of emotion within him. He had been born here, but his mother had come from elsewhere and he didn't count her any less for that.
The reasons were all there, she just had to step back and find them.
"Thank you," she replied quietly. "And I...I will look forward to making a home. Here. With you."
