"That is true." And... Well, it wasn't like the first of them, prior to the fading, had a guide either, did they not ? "It.. is part of being a mother, I believe. I cannot help but to worry for them..."
Through she knew this was something she couldn't do for them. Sometimes she had no other choice but to fight her own motherly urge and do what she knew was best for her three.
"I am hoping to get nephew and nieces one day." Her smile turned impish - it was clear what she was referring to here, even if it was probably hard for anyone who knew Ankou to imagine him as a father.
But then, hadn't it been the same with Nergal ?
"Cute little ones that I may spoil without worry... That would be rather nice."

"And rightly so! I think every mother worries for her children." He smiled then chuckled, "You think Ankou will be a father? He's so distant... but then, perhaps he's changed since I saw him last. It has been a while since we last spoke." Either that or some deity had caught his eye that Glyph didn't know about.
Another laugh as he nodded, "Indeed. To have seedlings running around? It would be joyous. I'd spoil them with sweets and adventures!" Forest smiled to himself, imagining raising godlings.
"Was it hard at first?" Glyph asked suddenly, hoping he wasn't prying, "Did you decide to carry your children to term or fashion them between yourself and Nergal?" He'd never actually seen a pregnant god or goddess before... and his instinct lie in seeds rather then pregnancies.

"It might be possible..." Oh, it would make sense that Glyph would not know. The Spirit Guide was so secretive, perhaps more so than her own husband, at times ! She had the mental dilemma of weither or not to answer that question, but really... what could it hurt ?
And well, Glyph would one day see Ankou and Cosine and would probably know. As secretive as he could be, the Spirit Guide could also be obvious. "One has caught his eye, indeed. A certain Counting Crow, I believe you know of her." She said, smile turning impish.
Glyph's other questions did surprise her, a little. No one had ever asked her that ! "We fashioned them, I would say." It definitively hadn't been a pregnancy in mortal terms, through few had actually witnessed it. "Well, you know how Nergal often has wisps following him ? It was like that... But they followed me. And were, well. Alive." Very not dead had been Nergal's expression, and she would treasure the expression on her husband's face for eternity. "They remained as they were, taking energy from my mana, for a few weeks, before finally being born." At least she figured a few weeks was accurate. The timeflux they had hit upon returning from Wellhaven made it hard to give a proper estimate.

"Counting Crow? Possibly..." he pursed his lips in thought before blinking, "Oh! Cosine? I've met her a few times... not recently, however. I trust she's well too?" Glyph chuckled, wondering if the crows he'd raised for Ankou had been gifts for Cosine in that case.
"Mmn, you fostered their sparks... I sure it was quite the sight!" He grinned, "How did Nergal react? It's hard to imagine him doing anything but scowling, honestly but he must have been pleased."

"She is indeed very well." She said with a smile, and decided that she would let Forest see exactly how well for himself. It was a delight, really, to see those she cared for grow stronger and stronger, closer to their true selves of old.
She had to stiffle a giggle at the scrowling comment, but... Well, that was more or less right, was it not ? Sometimes Music did forget that she often saw much different facets of her husband than most did - always had seemed to, long before they were truly together. "He was... surprised, at first. But very pleased, indeed." Who wouldn't be ? To bring forth some of the first truly new deities in ages... Yes, they'd both been proud, even if the times they had been born had indeed been dire.

"That is good," he replied with a nod then chuckled, "That is also good to hear - even stoic Nergal has reason to smile. I think I've only personally seen him smile once or twice myself... though when we realized he'd been the cause of my black eye that one time, he actually looked concerned." He gave a mild shrug, "Or close enough to it."
Forest tapped his fingers on the ground as he leaned back and arched a brow, "You'll keep this conversation quiet, mm? I don't want Xun finding out I've anything special planned for after the party... I'd like it to be a surprise."

"He smiles entirely too little, if you want my opinion." Well, he did indeed do more of that in private with her, but... really. Again, she knew facets of Underworld that most might suspect did not even exist.
"What conversation ?" She asked, then winked, impish.
...Wait. Suddenly something did sink in. What ? Long ears did stand a little straighter in apparent alarm. "Your black eye ?" And Nergal had caused it ?
Yes, it was evident that Music had no idea what Forest was even talking about.

Glyph tilted his head, nodding, "Indeed. I was dreaming of the same place as a mortal was praying to Nergal and when he answered the prayer, he... ah, erupted into the forest she was in and killed a good portion of the immediate area." He made a face, "It was like being punched in the face... and when I woke up, I had a black eye and was sore all over so I went to talk to him. He never told you this? It was how I met your lovely Lacrymosa."

"No, he never told me." She sighed, one hand going to rub at the bridge of her nose. Really, if she did not know any better, she might have thought Nergal did that kind of thing on purpose sometimes.
"He really doesn't think about the consequences of his actions, sometimes. I am certain he did not mean it." Through that had likely already been cleared up... Well, it felt right to offer that explanation.

"Hn," was all he said to that matter then waved a dismissive hand, "We spoke and it was settled. I know he did not mean it but I am glad we spoke - I'd rather not get punched without notice again." Glyph laughed light then shrugged, "No need to speak in his defense, m'lady."

Echo could not help but turn a little embarrassed at that. "My apologies. Force of habit, perhaps..."
Through it did made her wonder when she had settled into this role. Forest was right, of course - she did not need to defend her husband, not at all. Especially since such a thing might actually be a full time job in itself...
"So what else did you have planned for the party ?" She returned the conversation on it's original course, leaning back in her chair a bit. Through she was pondering offering to go for a walk - staying crouched like that couldn't be that comfortable, would it ?

"What else?" He made a thoughtful sound and shrugged, "Dancing, perhaps, meals, opportunities for the merchant to sell more of their goods, mingling of people... I don't have anything solid planned. Except that I plan on leading my Wardens on a hunt into the woods... I'll call forth a buck for them to chase, it should be helpful in keeping up ties, I need to start fostering proper rituals in my honour." He puffed out his cheeks, quite content to remain still as he spoke, "It is difficult finding where to start, however."

"I know..." She had been there before, through... Well, in her case saving All That Is had taken more priority. "You... get so used to be small. At least it was this way for me. I had gotten so used to what I had been, that once I became more... I was not actually sure what to do or where to go. Where to even start."
To see her own steps now mirrored with her son was... strange, in a way.

Glyph nodded at that, an understanding smile flicking across his lips, "That's where I stand now. I yearned for this so badly...." He made a vague gesture at himself, "And now that I'm here, it seems as though my small sapling has suddenly grown into an endless forest. I have my Wardens and my Night Elves... I hope to begin with them."
Glyph shrugged, his limbs creaking as a tree in the wind might, "I would be interested in seeing what remains of my cults. I remember so little but I have a feeling, if the night elves are any indication, that I am not without my ruins."

"No one is without their ruins." Echo sighed, and shook her head. It was not long before she reached to coax her sea of hair back into place, without truly noticing that she was.
"I still do not remember much..." Music admitted, but at the same time, she had not dwelt on it much. There was too much to be done in the present to linger in the past. "But if anything remains, you will know, one way or another."
She smiled, through. "Would you like some tea ?" She offered, as she could definitively finish those music sheets later. She was never one to turn down good company, after all.
