@Syao- Thank you for letting me know! ^__^ heart When I mentioned that not being "canon," I was referring to if anyone had thought that Makayla and Tuari Tse's family was the dysfunctional one in that particular prompt, and made any character decisions based on that. Everyone is welcome to seek out any plots they desire, including ones with adversity/conflict! ^.^

Certing Information: Name: - If Female: Hatari - If Male: Kohkou Temper: One-word temper. - If Female: Quiet - If Male: Quiet
Contest Entry: Gender chosen for Contest Entry: Male
Personality Description: Kohkou is quiet and watchful. He rarely speaks and if he does its in a very soft tone of voice. Weather he is is silent because he is shy or just doesn't desire to speak is unknown yet, though he is quite content to be like his father. However, like his mother, his curiosity is strong and he often wanders into tight spaces or away from his family to investigate. He greets each new experience with a tilted head and a thoughtful quiet expression as he takes in everything his mind can absorb. He never wanders far from his family though, and even as an adult, he would still come around to check up on them.
RP Entry: 3 Kohkou sat next to his father, as the two were enveloped in a sphere of silence. Neither two said a word as their eyes trailed across the horizon in sync. Father was always a quiet one....and this is where Kohkou felt most comfortable. He didn't exactly know why his father never talked yet, but it never seemed to bother him any. And it certainly didn't bother his mother, whom did enough talking for the entire family. Most times he was glad she did all the talking. It wasn't that he was shy, he just rarely preferred to speak. Oh yes, he would talk if spoken too, but it was in a very soft and gentle tone and he tended to gently laugh more than producing actual words. So when he was spending time with his Father... he was happy.
One evening while he was off on one of his adventures, he happened across a quaint little thicket where another foal was playing with a squirrel. Because of his quiet demeanor, his presence went unnoticed for quite some time. But this never bothered Kohkou. A smile spread up from the corners of his lips and wrapped around his muzzle as he watched the Filly play. His eyes took in every movement she made, every twitch of the squirrel, every fling of their tails. His ears flickered to the delighted laughing she made and to the chattering of the squirrel. It wasn't until he shifted his weight, causing leaves to crackle beneath his hooves that the young filly turned her attention to him.
At first she blinked, surprised she had company other than the squirrel.
Kohkou's head tilted sideways as he gazed at her
The filly's blue eyes sparkled and her face lite up. "Hi!" she greeted him with a girlish giggle as she gently scoffed a hoof against the ground. "Didn't see ya there, I'm Minari.... do you want to play?" she asked as she raised her front legs up playfully.
Kohkou simply watched her, his head still tilted to the side, but his smile slowly returned. Shutting his eyes, he nodded his head and imitated her by raising his front legs off the ground as well.
"Great!" the filly whinnied in delight as she pranced forward and gently nosed his shoulder with her muzzle. "You can be it!" she declared as she bounded a few feet away, her laughter filling the air.
Kohkou stared at her. He wasn't a professional at playing tag, but he had watched his siblings and was confident he could mimic what they did. Rearing up again, he flailed his hooves at her before bouncing around in the leaves after her, the only sound coming from his body was the crunching of the leaves.
It took the filly a few minutes to realize this, as her giggles were practically drowning out everything else. As he drew nearer, she leaped backwards a bit, soft pants rising and falling in her chest as her giggles began to slow. "Whats the matter.... don't you talk?" she grinned, not realizing her question was more than a silly taunt.
Kohkou stopped and looked at her, his smile fading as he studied her face. he knew others didn't take silence well...and some even thought another equine weird for not talking. His ears slightly dropped as he cast his gaze to the ground and gently drug a hoof across the dirt and leaves,
Tilting her head, the filly's smile faded as she gently took a step closer to him. Fearful that she may have upset him, she timidly leaned her neck closer and stared at him through large blue eyes. "Hey... I was only teasin' ... its..I didn't mean...." she paused, fumbling over her words, not wanting to make this any worse than she felt it already was. ".... You... can't talk can you?" Kohkou lifted his gaze from the ground, staring straight into her blue eyes. He hadn't meant to upset her either, and at her question he rigorously shook his head no. His mouth opened, prepared to speak, but he paused and no sound came out, as if the very words he were about to utter suddenly escaped him. His cheeks flushed as best as an equine's could as he took in a deep breath and attempted a second shot at explaining.
The filly watched him carefully, her blue eyes shifting furiously from his mouth to his eyes to the rest of him. She watched as he struggled to talk, leaning forward on the tips of her hooves, straining to hear any word that might have dripped from his mouth, but there was nothing. Seeing his features as he tried to explain again, she let out another giggle. Smiling at the confused look he gave her, she inched forward and whispered softly to him. "You just don't like to talk much do ya?" she grinned.
Relieved, Kohkou could do the only thing he could think of doing just then. With a smile, he nodded his head yes.
"Well thats ok! I understand." she smiled and swished her tail. "You don't have to talk if you don't wanna!" she beamed as she leaped back a few paces. "But your still it!" she giggled again and bounded in a circle.
Kohkou felt his smile growing wider and a funny tickle in the back of his throat as he managed to let out a very faint chuckle of his own, as he dashed after her, his ears pricking to the sound of the chattering squirrel over head. It was his way of saying.... thank you.
Future Plots: None as of yet. I like to plot after I've had time to develop my pet's personality in RP as he or she grows because often something will happen that gives them a change of heart or mind. The only thing I can say is, when he/she is an adult, I would like them to find someone who would be able to draw his/herself out of their quiet shell and get them to open up a little more.

Newbie Entrant I have 3 Soquili, but let me know if you meant less than, rather than 3 or less. Soquili Owned: 2, plus 1 co-owned (I have the RP rights) Proof of co-ownership rights: Let me know if you need this link.Basket Choice:Eldest. (Though I'd be happy with either, but I do not have time to do two entries, sorry.)
Certing Information: Name: - If Female: Madeleine 'Maddy' - If Male: Donatien (French meaning 'Gift') Temper: - If Female: Precarious. - If Male: Un-restrained.
Contest Entry: Gender chosen for Contest Entry: Female. (I shall type out the male half if I have time.)
Personality Description: Madeleine, or better known as, Maddy, has an unassailable hunger to know more of the world, perhaps an inherited trait from her mother, and more so, her grandmother. She is openly curious about anything and everything, and takes her grandmothers opinion that if one is closed minded you can't see everything of the world around you. This open mindedness however means she can often be lead, she follows with little question or hesitation in the simple hopes of learning something new, which of course leads her to experience much of life, but can often get her into plenty of trouble also.
I would like through background plotting to develop her personality however, depending on those that plot with me, I'd like her to become corrupted by the darker aspects of life, getting herself into trouble, and having her family and friends that knew her before this stage in her life, to start to try and rein her back in and remind her of certain morals she seems to forget. This plot of course will depend on the influencing aspects in her life at the time, and with plotting will either cause her personality to darken to a more Libertine like status in life, with little morals and living life as she pleases, or drawing herself back a little and becoming more restrained by morals, and the aspirations of others.
Libertine life personality of course is quite self explanatory, however if she does take the other path and becomes more restrained she will develop a love of dark tales to sate her hunger, declaring that she can live the characters out in her mind, and curb her own desire for fulfilling or undergoing such acts.
RP Entry: Prompt 1: Free for all!
Maddy adored her mother of course, she loved her energy and the way she showed her, and her siblings something new at least once a day. The name of a particular tree, the part of a river where the current swirled around and created the most amazing rippling patterns on the waters surface, where the newly developed butterflies like to go and sunbath in massive groups creating a hypnotising motion of wings slowly opening and closing as if they were eating up the very rays of sunlight that struck them. However her mother was somewhat more restrained than her grandmother who seemed a little more free to do as she desired, she had many tales to tell of life and each one enraptured Maddy totally.
It was one of those days she was craving stories from her grandmother that would carry her off and away from her current location, away from the protective eyes of her parents. She enjoyed imagining she was embodying the characters in her grandmother's tales, hoping one day she could perhaps have her own tales to tell. Her other two siblings were playing under the watchful eye of her father whilst their mother was lazying in the blessed spring sunlight, she galloped the distance between her and her mother, and head butted straight into her legs, attempting to get her attention. 'What is it Maddy?' her mother intoned in a voice that didn't seem best pleased for being disturbed from her reverie.
'I want to go and see Grandmother, can I go and find her?'
'I don't see why not, but if you don't find her close by, do not keep wandering, I don't want you to get lost.'
'Yes mother,' She said obediently, and with a smile and a flurry of legs she span about and ran off in search of her Grandmother. Keahi never seemed to be to far from her daughter, or perhaps it was the other way around, but either way it wasn't long before Maddy had hunted down her grandmother. Keahi saw the young foal running towards her and smiled a knowing smile, lowering her head she nuzzled her granddaughter fondly as she charged at her chest. 'Hello my little one, have you come for another tale?' Maddy stared up with widen eyes that glowed with excitement and she nodded vigorously.
Future Plots:
Foal: Curiosity Killed The Cat: I'd like to think Maddy's ambitions of creating her own menagerie of tales starts from an early age, however this will lead her into a sticky situation... If I am so lucky as to win, I am going to type up a plot thread for her and I am going to leave this pretty open for anyone to throw ideas my way, hopefully helping with someone else's plot as well.
In General: Hopefully forming good relationships with her family and I'd love to plot out something in regards to forming a strong bond with her grandmother, something in Maddy perhaps Keahi can liken herself too and nurture in the young foal, encouraging her in expressing herself. Perhaps then later in life this can lead to Keahi feeling a little responsible for the things Maddy gets up to later in life.
Young Adult: The Influential: Having branched off from her family, and is now her own master she roams the land looking for new experiences to broaden her young mind. It is at this time she is to meet a stallion that will ultimately change her life forever. He is to hopefully be Kalona and he himself to be looking for a little 'playmate'. This plot is to be developed with the owner of the stallion of course, but will lead to much heavy background plotting and some RP on through into her adult life. The attraction for him is to have someone subservient to him, Maddy is still and always will remain somewhat naïve in her outlook in life, simply wanting to experience everything life throws at her, as the plots thicken she will have to start looking back at herself before meeting the stallion and how much she's now changed because of him.
Good and Evil: A little after meaning the key stallion in her life she also befriends another stallion who is the opposite to the more influential force in her life. He is good and knightly and acts much like her big brother. Over time I'd love for him to develop some emotions more that brotherly love and for them to fall out, and then over time and a little distance, for them to come to an understanding that she just wants to be friends, how it use to be.
Family Is Important: Though often following around after her influencing force, doing as he bids, she returns from time to time to see her family. She is deeply attached to them all, including her siblings and always makes time for them. Though while at this age she tends to keep the tales of what she gets up to with her stallion companion as a secret, or simply does not elaborate much, though she does tend to share a few more details with her grandmother whom she has a weakness for.
Adult: The Plunge into Darkness: She and her Kalona companion now have become in twinned, she does his every bidding and he seems to relish having a hand in corrupting a creature that was once so innocent. It is not a loving relationship they have, something beyond that, a little twisted but they are bound together none the less. Think of it as an open relationship but ultimately they will always come back to one another and they both play large parts in each others lives. Lots of plotting hopefully to occur between Maddy and her 'mate' to develop the odd relationship.
The Reins: This is where the evidence of the deeds and lifestyle of she now leads her life is brought to light to her family and old friends. I'd like to think the stallion she befriended as a young adult now tries to bring her back to the right path or even a sibling, or parent. A few fallout's, discussions with her grandmother, tense moments and plots to be discussed with different family members owners and friends etc.
Which Path To Take?: This will simply depend on what interests me most at the time with the different plots etc developed with different owners involved in her plottings. Perhaps she breeds with her Kalona 'mate', then he wonders off and leaves her for a time and she is left to deal with the foals, or neither of them want to bring them up and abandon them, or pass them off onto a family member. Another idea is that he arranges for her to breed with a mutant Soquili, to open her eyes to such 'deformities' etc. Or if the 'knight' Stallion presents an interesting plot or reason for her to break of her liaisons with the Kalona. So plenty of plotting and character development of not just Maddy, but hopefully all those involved.
To Be Made An Example Of?: Perhaps she is used as an example and a deterrent to younger family members, nieces and nephews, of what too much curiosity and freedom of expression can lead to, of the lack of moral boundaries and restraints. Though close to her grandmother, and still loved by her parents she is perhaps classed as 'the dark sheep' of the family, and is generally avoided later in life by her siblings in case of influencing their own innocent minded foals.
Tell Me A Tale: If her 'knight' rescues her from herself, she will probably never be able to forget the Kalona that played such a large part in her life and from time to time will attempt to seek his company out, even for small snippets of time. But she will get her kicks out of seeking dark tales from travellers that pass through her home land, where she has settled with her mate, and living out the characters in the tales in her mind to sate her hunger for leading a life with no moral boundaries and to keep her on the right path in life.
Note: I know your family is dearly loved by you and I hope a character such as Maddy will fit in, I will of course be able to plot with yourself when you have time, so she still fits in, and if she decides to stay with the Kalona she will never truly be classed as an evil character, simply one that acts freely to feelings and desires. Hopefully it will creates a little more dimension to the family and opens up a few more plots and ideas for other family members.

Basket Choice:Certing Information:Name: (can be gender-neutral or gender differentiated) - If Female: Cal - If Male: Iro Temper: One-word temper. (can be gender-neutral or gender differentiated) - If Female: studious - If Male: fiery Contest Entry:Gender chosen for Contest Entry: Female Personality Description: Cal likes to watch, to learn everything. Like her grandmother, she loves to learn, but like her father, she does not speak much of what she knows. She'll be closest to her father and grandmother, of all the family, and probably will be shy as a foal. As an adult, she'll like watching others, listening to them, and blending into the background, to learn while others forget she is there. RP Entry: Quote: 3. Daddy doesn't talk much, but Mommy talks a lot. Why do you think that is? Do you think it's strange, or do you just accept that that is how your father is? Do you take after him, or are you prone to babbling? Show how you may interact in a variety of social settings, given your choice (or the inherent traits that make you how you are.) Her thoughts as a foal rambled and ran as fast as her body did not. She hid behind her father's strong legs and watched her mother talk to the stranger who had come to them. Mother talked a lot, and Cal was never quite sure why. Sometimes she wondered if mommy talked so much because of daddy, as a gift to him. She could see that. If mommy talked so much, then daddy didn't have to. He could just listen and learn. That made sense. After all, if they were both quiet, then others might not share as much, and if they both talked, then maybe they'd spend more time talking over each other then they would hearing what the new person had to say. Yes, that made a lot of sense! Balance. She considered. Would balance be important in other parts of life....? An adult now, Cal had heard stories of a group of Kalona who lived up in the mountain range that could just be seen from her favorite resting stone. What were Kalonas like when they thought they were alone? She would pick her way through the woods, up the slope, hunting for a place where she could watch, unobserved. For a thinker, she does not have much of a plan of what to do when she is found, but she still wants to go forward, wants to learn. Future Plots: I would love to go for Elder, down the line. However, for foal, I'd love to play her with her siblings, see how they come together. She'd also want to learn from her Grandmother, and spend time with her father. As an adult she would probably meet my Pachu'a, and spend time with him, he needs more friends who are quiet. Desperately. Mostly, I'm the plot as it goes sort in B/C which makes this part hard for me to answer. For how she might become an Elder candidate, she'll be quiet, patient, and knowledgeable. She might be persuaded to become a teacher, depending on her relationship with the foals she encounters as an adult. ____________________ Contest Entry:Gender chosen for Contest Entry: Male Personality Description: He's a spark plug, a real hot head. He feels all emotions strongly. He loves strongly and passionately, but he is just as quick and strong in anger. RP Entry: Quote: 1. Free-for-all. Chose a topic and off you go! Iro was prancing about the country side, a fearless carefree foal, looking for adventure. He liked sneaking out under the watchful gazes of his family, waiting until they were busy with his siblings, then dashing out. He often came back muddy and cut up, but pleased with himself. Today's adventure involved a frog he had found the day before. it had been laying eggs or... something, in a leaf, and now he wanted to see it for himself. He raced forward and tumbled down the hillock to land in a giggling heap beside the pond. He found the frog's leaf and ran to it. Sure enough in the cup of curved leaf, filled half with water and half with a million small circles. He crowed with joy at having found it, dancing about until he spied a fox. Did foxes eat frogs? What about frog eggs? He didn't want to take a chance. He jumped between the eggs and the fox. "Shoo!" he called. "Away. These aren't for you!" The fox, taking this as a challenge, lunged. He had a happy wrestling match with the beast, the fox ran off to lick it's wounds. Proud of himself, Iro trotted back home, muddy and banged up, totally forgetting that he had meant to slip back unnoticed. Future Plots: He probably would not be a good candidate for Elder, but he'll be tons of fun. I plan to send him off on many adventures, and throw him up against all the dangerous soqs I can find, to test his strength against, or save innocents from. No clue what type he'd fall in love with, but it would be strong bond, and he'd want to protect her if she needed protecting, want to be there for her, be everything for her. I don't know specifics until I see who is around to play with him. As I said before, I am better in B/C plotting as I go, or letting plots happen.

WIP: I may or may not get this finished on time tomorrow but I'll share it with you none the less, please disregard this entry if I have still not editted the rest in on time.Basket Choice: Youngest.
Certing Information: Name: - If Female: Iona ('I-O-na') - If Male: Aodhan ('Aid – an') Temper: One-word temper. - If Female: Darling - If Male: Provocative
Contest Entry: Gender chosen for Contest Entry: Male.
Personality Description: Aodhan is mute, well actually he can speak but it is such a rarity he is generally considered mute. When he does, his voice is shy, meek, feminine and is usually never louder than a whisper. There is something terribly attractive about this quality as he is such a large stallion, but he is the most gentile being that ever existed. Aodhan wouldn't hurt a fly and goes out of his way to appease everyone he meets, he is never quick to judge, and even when the world and every one in it seems to have given up hope in someone or something, he seems to find the faith, and grace, to see the beauty in something long been discarded. He is someone that doesn't just give second chances, but third and forth opportunities; it's a sad day with Aodhan gives up on something or one.
Aodhan is at peace around his family but is also happy in his own company, he enjoys peace, serenity and nature; rarely will you find him in crowded or largely populated areas. Aodhan however doesn't simply wander about in search of a peaceful mind, he has a keen sense of smell, and from a young age has taken an interest in anything that can provide a perfume. Later in life, once grown up, he travels the land collecting items: flowers, lichen, moss, foliage, bark etc. and with the help of his human companion, crushes them and blends them to create scented rubs to sell or gift to others.
RP Entry: (Please include which prompt you are responding to, if you chose one.)
Future Plots:
Foal: Speechless: Aodhan is close to being mute, is own father is quiet but Aodhan has taken it to a whole new level. Brought up around his mother and her family who have a lust for life and adventure, and his mother always filling any silence with some sort of chatter, it is no surprise Aodhan, who only wants to please everyone, has allowed his mother the pleasure of speech, but as he grows a little she begins to notice he doesn't talk at all she begins to worry he is mute. Aodhan, however talks on occasion to his father, who he finds a little less intimidating to talk to, as he demands few words from him, understanding passing more through gestures and looks. Hopefully this is something to further plot with yourself with and further build upon and trying to plot out what his siblings make of his close to mute conversations. He also has a very effeminate voice, which does not bother him, but perhaps can be a source of bullying on occasion, a further plot perhaps to work on, leading him to be more picky on who he actually does speak to.
General: Anything goes really, I am open for sibling and family plotting. (I do NOT RP much, however I plot heavily and will RP out key points.) It is from a young age he is aware of his keen sense of smell and early on will take pleasure in simply making a game of hunting down new smells, gathering flowers and gifting them to friends and family.

Newbie Entrant Soquili Owned: 2, Cle and Sah Proof of co-ownership rights: n/aBasket Choice: Eldest (first born) Certing Information:Name: - If Female: Solsim (I shine) 'Sim' for short - If Male: Solsinn (he shines) 'Sol' for short Temper: One-word temper. - If Female: Noble - If Male: Noble Contest Entry:Gender chosen for Contest Entry: Female, though the personality and plots will be basically the same. A lady can be a knight in shining armor too after all! Personality Description: Protector of the small, Sim is kind and gentle with those who need support, but a stubborn barrier to any who might seek to harm others. She feels her family is the way everyone’s should be, and wishes others would see what a difference a life of love can make. Her mother’s loving attention, and her father’s code of honor have rubbed off on this youngster, and while she doesn’t quite fancy herself a rescuer of damsels in distress, she does believe strongly in stepping up to make a difference, even if it might seem scary. She wants to become someone who can be relied upon, just as she has always been able to rely on her family. As she grows up, she’ll learn to stand comfortably on her own, but family will always be something precious to her and if she does wander far she’ll always be glad to come home again. They are her rock to stand brave upon, and to lose them completely would hurt her very much. She is loyal to her family, and to her friends, and is always seeking to better herself so she can better look after those who need it. A very loving individual, she enjoys spending time with those she’s close to, and is always willing to reach out to those she does not yet know. Second chances can be found with her, but cross her twice and she’s less likely to have an open mind. She is willing to forgive, but rarely forgets. She’ll ask many questions as a foal, and will be comfortable even as an adult in coming to her family for advice. It’s not weak to rely on someone, everyone needs to support each other. Honest and honorable, with a firm sense of what is right and what is wrong, she will never turn her back on anyone who needs her, regardless of personal opinions. There is something good in being outgoing and friendly, but there is also something to considering words carefully. While as a foal she’ll be more like her mother, bubbly and talkative, in time she’ll grow to favor her father’s approach. What is said can never be unsaid, and just because one does not speak does not mean they aren’t smart. Besides, it is easier to listen to those around her if she is not eager for a turn to talk herself. Questions, on the other hoof, are not likely to ever fade into being ‘quiet’, and Sim is too interested in being involved to ever be truly ‘seen and not heard’. She takes the idea of being the responsible older sibling rather seriously, and this does seem to extend beyond her family. Someone needs to look after everyone who needs a little looking after! Not quite nosy, or pushy, once she’s learned the difference between offering and forcing help down someone’s throat, she is sure to let anyone know that she’s around if they need her… and she promises not to say ‘I told you so’ if they mess up without her help. Not out loud anyway. RP Entry: Quote: 3. Daddy doesn't talk much, but Mommy talks a lot. Why do you think that is? Do you think it's strange, or do you just accept that that is how your father is? Do you take after him, or are you prone to babbling? Daddy didn’t talk much. Which might not have seemed all that strange, except… mommy did. Mommy talked a lot. And it was more fun to talk a lot, wasn’t it? Wasn’t it? There was so much to do, and then after doing it, there was lots and lots to talk about. Mommy was fun, lots of fun. She had lots of interesting things to say, lots of stories to tell, and lots of laughing to be shared. Yes, mommy was fun. And daddy was quiet. It wasn’t bad to be quiet. But daddy was very quiet. Sim watched as they walked together, her ears as perked as her young curiosity. Why didn’t daddy say much? Was it because mommy already said everything? Did mommy talk too much for daddy? Sometimes other foals talked so much it seemed like she would never get a turn to say anything, which felt horribly unfair because she had interesting things to say too. It was important to be nice though, it was important to be patient. And maybe she was extra special careful not to talk too much herself because she knew what it felt like. She didn’t want to make anyone else feel like that! It didn’t feel very good at all. He didn’t look like he felt upset though. It didn’t seem like that was the case at all. Sim stared, trying to put the pieces together. He must have a reason for being quiet. She didn’t know what it was, but it must be there. Maybe she could ask grandma about it, grandma knew lots and lots about lots and lots of things. Lots. Maybe even everything. Maybe. But what if she asked and he thought she didn’t like that he was quiet? What if that hurt his feelings? Sim paused in her turning, her spindly newish legs wobbling at the sudden stop. Oh no, that would be bad. That was not what she wanted. But it was… strange. He was so quiet. Sometimes he said things, and they were always so interesting. Not just interesting though, no. There was a word she’d heard. A big word, like for grown ups. It was… was… insightful. Yes. Daddy was quiet, but he was also insightful, which meant clever and observant. Or something like that. Maybe being quiet made someone even more observant? Maybe that was why he didn’t mind when mommy talked and talked and he didn’t say much of anything at all. Or… Sim pranced a little, then felt herself wobbling a little more and attempted to rearrange her legs so they were all lined up properly, like a grown up’s would be. There. Like that. Much less wobbly now. Looking up again, she snorted at a tickle in her nose and resumed her pondering. Maybe, because talking sometimes seemed to make other people happy, maybe daddy was quiet because talking made mommy happy, and daddy wanted her to be happy more than he wanted to talk. That felt like it might also be a right answer. Actually, now that she thought about it, there did seem to be lots of good answers for why someone might be quiet. In fact! In fact, she was being quiet right now too! Oh! Yes she was! And she wasn’t upset either, nope, or unhappy, or feeling ignored. She was quiet because she was thinking. That was another good reason for someone to be quiet. Being quiet wasn’t so strange after all, if she thought about it that way. “Being quiet isn’t weird!” Sim declared happily, speaking to no one at all. Then, giggling happily to herself, she skipped off to go and share her observations. Others would probably think it was interesting after all! That she’d be breaking the quiet to explain how being quiet could be good hadn’t quite occurred to the foal. Yet. Future Plots: FoalFamily stuff, especially with her dad so she can pick up on his moral code, but definitely lots of family stuff. She needs to have a really good relationship with them, so she can be better at showing everyone what a good family can be like! Friends of course! Those that share her growing ideals, for as a very young foal she won’t have finished consolidating them into her desire to be there for others, and those that need someone to become what she wants to be. Others who’d work with her, and others who would rely on her. And to go along with her new friends, some who might not get along with her well. Someone aggressive, or selfish, or just plain cold, or maybe who simply doesn’t think that other people’s problems are things that ought to be helped with. It would confuse her, just a bit, and they would become someone she didn’t want to be like, thus reaffirming her beliefs that being there for others is the right thing to do. Life experiences, but mini ones that can happen safely within the watchful eyes of her parents. Things she can ask grandma questions about would be fun, and meeting different sorts of Soquili to learn that there’re more than flutters and cerynei in the world. Might be fun to meet a mini she could confuse for another foal at first. Lessons to learn about when to try handling a problem herself and when to get an adult, and about the power of words. Young AdultMore life experiences, these ones could get a little more dangerous. Running into an unfriendly kalona, or a skinwalker, are the sorts of things she wouldn’t have done as a foal but shall have the ‘joy’ of learning about now. Adventures and exploring as well, gradually getting used to not being home all the time always but still not used to the idea of ever going far away. Perhaps she will never get used to it. More roleplays with her friends from foalhood, and her not-friends too if they’re still around. Seeing where those relationships go, and making new ones as well of course. More things for her to ask grandma about, and maybe a few things to ask mom and dad as well in regard to how others treat one another. I’d like for her ‘moral code’ to solidify at this point in her life. I think she’d like to learn to be a warrior, just a little, so she might better defend others from dangerous sorts, like skinwalkers. A mentor would be good for this. Maybe fall in love? Not sure, I’d rather see what other sorts of friendships and adventures she might have and let it develop as it will, if it does. Mature AdultShe’ll have, hopefully, settled more into her role of a protector, and reliable individual. Maybe have a few fights under her belt, and a few good, close friends. If she’s not in love yet, she’ll start being inclined towards that sort of thing. Having a family, like the one she came from, would certainly appeal to her. Maybe one of her friends hasn’t been able to get her attention yet? Or she might meet someone new. Preferably someone who she can rely on in return, someone who agrees with her attempts to make the world a better place. Not necessarily another ‘knight’, a healer who could look after her when she gets herself into trouble would probably be wonderful. For these plots, it’d be easier to guess what they would be after the other things have come to pass. ElderNot sure whether I would aim for elder with him/her or not, it would be more interesting to see if he/she suits that sort of thing when they reach that stage in their life. Most of my plots and ideas wind up changed over the course of roleplaying as I get a better feel for the character. If she were to become an elder, it would be as a guardian type of person, teaching others to defend themselves and support one another like the extended family of the world. A note. I am not the most super active person, but I promise I don’t just vanish either. I love plotting, and even though I don’t have as much time for roleplaying as I’d like to have right now, I’m still around if only just to talk. Hopefully I will have lots of time again soon, summer is coming after all!

Basket Choice: Youngest
Certing Information: Name: - If Female: Alaula—(Hawaiian) Light of dawn - If Male: Hokuaonani –(Hawaiian) Beautiful Dawning Star Temper: One-word temper. Impassioned
Contest Entry: Gender chosen for Contest Entry: I didn’t put a gender to it, I used first person since the focus wasn’t dependant on gender. If I had to say, I’d pick female
Personality Description: As a foal, easily focused and consistent with one thing. Diehard and loyal. Interested in learning everything, playful and rambunctious.
As she grows, she’s a little more sedate but as a deep passion for lost causes because they are more than that. ( I guess this is just another lost cause, Mr. Paine. All you people don't know about lost causes. Mr. Paine does. He said once they were the only causes worth fighting for. And he fought for them once, for the only reason any man ever fights for them; because of just one plain simple rule: 'Love thy neighbor.'... And you know that you fight for the lost causes harder than for any other. Yes, you even die for them. ---Mr. Smith Goes to Washington with Jimmy Stewart).
She becomes a great talker and listener, someone compelled to stand up for what is right and true. She has a little bit of problems with her temper in the heat of the moment.
RP Entry: Prompt 2.
The sounds seem strange and alien to my ears. I can’t help but be both intrigued and terrified by the voices that assault my senses. Harsh, bitter words that are stated and tossed in anger—some words I don’t even understand what they mean. But the intentions are clear. They are meant out of anger, rage and futility.
I feel like an invader on this moment even though it’s out in the open. They’re not doing anything to hide their arguments, not trying to stop the foals who are a little older than me from being horrible. They don’t seem to care about anything other than wounding each other with their words. Finally, I hear one of them choking on it—the hot words ceasing to bubble from their lips.
I feel ashamed for hearing it, even though it’s not my fault. I feel the blush flood my cheeks as the mares eyes see me for a moment before turning away. I feel shame because of what I heard them say, but that looks on each of their faces as they stand there in stony silence is anything but shame.
It’s not my place to say anything. It’s not my right. I was raised to be kind, to be courteous…but something about it bothered me. Something about it pulled at me and compelled me to say something even though it wasn’t right for me to.
I find myself walking toward them, and their stunned eyes look down at me—some in anger, some in pain, and some with indifference. I’m clearly unwelcomed. It makes it harder to say what I wanted to. Maybe no one ever told them after all?
“Family is forever. You don’t have to like them all the times, but always remember you love them,” I repeat the lines handed down I generations of our families before backing away.
Maybe it doesn’t mean anything to them, but it does to me. It’s what I believe. It’s not easy all the time when my siblings are mean to me or picking or too rough, but I love them even if I don’t like them all the time. Maybe it was wrong of me to interfere and say something to the family, but I hope they know I was only trying to help. They really looked like they needed it.
Future Plots: (Foal, young adult, adult- Do you plan to try for Elder? If so, how will you go about shaping this character to be an Elder candidate? You can include things like how the character may interact with others, certain relationship you'll be looking for, etc. Feel free to organize this section however you see fit.)
Foal
Some general ideas that come to mind is, of course, lots of family RP to help shape him or her.
I want her (going to use that instead of saying him or her the whole time) to be a very curious foal—even to the point of getting in trouble. She tries desperately to behave and be proper, but she really doesn’t see much of the point in not telling the complete and to the point truth.
I want to find some RP’s where she struggles to mind her own business but ultimately has to say what she really thinks.
Another plot I’d like to see is revisiting the earlier situation where she has to realize that sometimes love isn’t enough for things—sometimes it doesn’t keep you from fighting, or having a falling out with someone. Simply and to the point, love is not enough sometimes.
Adult:
As an adult, I’d love to see her become eloquent with words. I’d like her to understand and try to help people with what knowledge and compassion she has to try to help them. I want her to realize that she has a gift with others and that it’s a waist not to use it to help.
In her adventures, I’d like her to find a stallion as a lovemate who has had an entirely different past than her. Where her childhood was thriving, maybe his was stunted. Maybe it even be someone she helps or maybe someone who helps her in a way?
I know that’s not much, but I like to see what he or she looks like and get a feel for where they want to go and who they want to be.
As far as Elder, I could see her going that way—but I wouldn’t make any concrete plans until I see who she wants to be and where she wants to take me.
Thanks for the opportunity!

Basket Choice: Eldest
Certing Information: Name: (can be gender-neutral or gender differentiated) - If Female: Eberine (em-ber-een) - If Male: Ebonine (eb-uh-nahyn) Temper: Mercurial
Contest Entry: Gender chosen for Contest Entry: female, but base personality would be the same regardless of gender.
Personality Description: Eberine/Ebonine is a force of personality (or, as she would put it, a soul on fire)- a fiery and passionate soul Soquili that has a difficult time metering her emotions. She's generally good-spirited, but like every Soquili has her moods; and whatever she feels she feels deeply, as if its consuming her soul. When she's happy, she's elated and when she's angry she's explosive and raging. Especially as a filly she finds it nearly impossible to control her emotions, or tempering them to the situation. She doesn't do or feel anything half-way: she throws herself full-tilt into everything she does. While this makes her unruly and touchy at times, when she really puts her mind into something she has a ambition and a drive rarely seen.
RP Entry: #2
Emberine knew she shouldn't be spying, but she was too invested now to just trot away; she peered cautiously from behind a large tree, watching the scene unfold on front of her with swirly mix of abject horror and intense curiosity. What has happening? The mother and father were yelling at each other - big, angry, hurtful yells, and the three foals were watching nearby. The colt seemed to be trying to participate - yelling back and stomping his small hooves on the ground. The two fillies cowered behind him, the smallest one weeping quietly, burying her head in her sister's shoulder.
This wasn't fair!! Emberine thought to herself, feeling her own rage swell up in her chest. Even if the parents were mad at each other, they shouldn't be yelling in front of their kids! Can't they even tell she's crying?
Her parents never yelled like this. Never said words meant to cause harm. Never would purposely make her or her siblings cry. At least not on purpose. She knew she should probably go home - tell her parents. Maybe her daddy could do something. He didn't talk much, but when he did it was always so soothing and authoritative. It made her feel calm and safe, like a cool mist of water over the fire she felt inside her. But as much as Emberine tried to pull away, she couldn't bring herself to leave the foals.
She was nearly shaking from the injustice of it all. So much so, the better judgement eventually was engulfed by the inferno of her impassioned rage. She bolted out from behind the tree, trotting sure-hoofedly up to foals and forcing herself between them and the feuding adults. The elder Soquili stopped their volley of hurtful word as they turned to stare, shocked into stunned silence.
"You shouldn't be yelling on front of them, can't you see they're upset?" the little filly demanded. "You shouldn't be yelling at all - why are you being so hurtful?"
The adults passed a confused look between then: they looked angry and insulted to be spoken to by a filly and suddenly Emberine seemed to realize just how much trouble she may have gotten herself into... (to be continued?? )
Future Plots: Please note, I don't generally completely plot out too much of the individual interactions or plots this far ahead of time. While I have a general ideal of what she will do and will be like, my Soquili are effected and shaped by every one of her interactions, and sometimes their projection can be severely altered depending on what happens to them in RP. Sometimes I don't even know myself what may become of one of my Soquili (or how they will react) heading into an RP. So I apologize if these seem a bit vague. I think character development is one of the most enjoyable and unpredictable parts of RPing.
Foal: As a foal, she would be exploring as much about the world around her as she could. She is unabashedly not not shy and would love talking to everyone and anyone who would listen. She might very well get herself into trouble - especially since she wouldn't consider herself as a filly being something that should be talked down to. She would be blunt and honest about her feelings on and subjects, and get frustrated when older Soquili weren't honest with her, or interested in her or her opinions.
Young Adult: While her childhood would be her "information gathering" stage, as a young adult she would begin to feel like she would need a 'outlet' for the fire in her soul. She would actively begin to seek out some kind of a cause, or hobby, she could throw herself into. She would want to have some kind of purpose to her life. This would probably be the most formative and important part of her life as she could be "shaped" and steered into may different directions. It wouldn't be impossible for her to be 'led astray' by a charismatic, darker Soquili who would be attracted to her passion and drive. At the same time, if she found a mentor who could direct her to a more compassionate or noble cause, she could find herself dedicated her life to making the world around her a better place.
Adult: Most of her adult plots will be determined by the interactions in her youth. She would still be as fiery and driven as ever, but how she's harnesses and using this fire would greatly depend on the company she keeps and what cause she has given herself over to.
If she had ventured down a darker path, I would love to have her family try and "redeem" her - bring her back and try to help her see the error of her ways.
I don't foresee, at least at this point, her becoming an Elder. Even if she doesn't go down a dark path, even if she uses her passion and energy to a noble cause (which is just as likely), becoming an Elder usually requires a level of patience and wisdom I'm just not sure she would ever be able to fully master. While channeling her fiery soul into a worthy cause, she will always have a temper and will always have a difficult time keeping all her emotions in check.
Of course, perhaps she will find the perfect yin to her yang: the right mare or stallion may be able to sooth and quiet her emblazoned soul. They would have to have patience in spades, and a supportive, appreciative relationship with her. If this happens, its very possible that, as a team, they could accomplish amazing things: in this case, I find it much more possible her and her mate could perhaps lead themselves towards Elderhood.

Basket Choice: Youngest Certing Information: Name: - If Female: Carrina - 'little darling' (Seemed like a name that such loving parents might give to the youngest should she be a filly) - If Male: Ciqala - 'little one' (Both for being the youngest and because it gave me ideas for a personality) Temper: One-word temper. (can be gender-neutral or gender differentiated) - If Female: Driven - If Male: Driven Contest Entry: Gender chosen for Contest Entry: Male ( but female is pretty much interchangeable) Personality Description: Ciqala seems to be a fairly good mix of his parents really, while he seems quiet much like his father he none the less enjoys a good bit exploration and once he forms an opinion on a topic he'll open up and become somewhat of a chatterbox on it - he just dosen't like to mouth off about things he dosen't know anything about. His voice is soft and gentle even when he's excited which can make him a bit hard to read but his enthusiasm for adventure and exploration almost certainly comes from his mother although his explorations seem to be more driven by an urge to see and learn then to try risky or dangerous things. His steady tone and nature seems to serve him well when those around him are upset, worried or scared. When faced with trouble Ciqala exhibits a strong sense of honor anda need to help as much as he can. All in all he's a gentle sort of beast, not easily ruffled but certainly up for some adventure, driven to protect those he see's in trouble or those who are more fragile he might find himself in situations where such a gentle nature would be a bit of a hinderence..if he didn't have such an underlying inner strength to see him through. RP Entry: (Please include which prompt you are responding to, if you chose one.) Quote: 2. You're growing up in a kind, loving family. As a foal, you witness another family in turmoil: father arguing with mother, children behaving like tyrants and trying to out-yell their parents' cries. How do you react? Do you watch, stunned, unable to comprehend what you are seeing? Do you try to intervene? Do you go back to your parents and ask for an explanation? How might this shape your future, and your understanding of the world? There was something inherintely wrong with the picture he was seeing, perhaps he was somewhat sheltered and such things were normal..but Ciquala couldn't help but wrinkle his nose at the entire situation and consider it..wrong. The parents were hollering at each other - and what he could gather the argument seemed to be about suitable discipline for the foals, which seemed like a silly thing to argue about to him. What was the point of disciplining the foals when the parents were doing exactly what the foals were getting in trouble for? Seemed somewhat contradictory to him..andhe'd certainly never expirienced such chaos in his life. His parents..thankfully...were kind and got along, the fact that they loved each other was easy to see by anyone who spent some time with them and while Ciquala was sometimes embarassed by their gushy sort of love he could see now that he had absolutely nothing to complain about. Imagine how life would be if his family spent all their time yelling at once another. What sort of stallion would he grow up to be then? Surely not the same sort he would now... Ciquala wanted to help the family before him - but he doubted they would listen to such a young foal, they were in such a temper already that he was pretty certain trying ti interfere would only get him yelled at and make the problem worse. PErhaps he could tell his parents..his father maybe was quiet enough to calm this situation down but then again he didn't want to get his father yelled at or drag him into this drama either. It was painful really to watch this scene unfold and not be able to do anything about it. Ciquala could only watch sadly as things degenerated and somewhere in the back of his mind the young colt made a promise to himself..he would not turn out like hte family before him, no when he found love or had children someday he'd strive to have a family simular to his own..he'd find a true love and raise his foals with grace and good temper...and a good bit of fun thrown in just as he had been raised. Really he had a lot to be thankful for and as he backed into the trees and turned to hurry home he also promised to say a heartfelt thanksto his family for not subjecting him to the horrors of the turmoil he'd just witnessed. Future Plots: I tend to prefer that plots and romances and other such things evolve organically through RP, in fact I have a hard time plotting foals espechially because so often what they expireience in foal RP shapes thier personality in ways I didn't expect and changes my ideas for their future, since they are not like a full grown SOq whom i can make up a back ground for and derive plots and personality from that I find that foals have to grow into their own plots and lives. However..I do have a few ideas for how I would like for him to develop, I know I'd like for him..or her if it turns out to be a female (really the personaliy won't change much for either gender) to be lifemated, growing up with such a loving family I just can't see him or her running off to have meaningless flings, I can see this foal becoming a helper of some sort - though perhaps not an out and out knight type character who goes looking for trouble to vanquish I can see them as something of a fixer..a therapist type who tries to help those in need or a healer, they would perhaps make a better good steady second in command then a leader themselves... the soquili that everyone comes to when they have a problem or a worry and hte one who makes sure that everyone is working together as a team in the best way that they can.

xxxxx๑ Basket Choice ๑ xxxxxxxxxx¤ Either or; the personality and name would be the same, and I would adore being given either. <3
Certing Information: xxxxx๑ Name ๑ xxxxxxxxxx¤ Fenikkusu - It is the Japanese word for "phoenix". xxxxx๑ Temper ๑ xxxxxxxxxx¤ Scorching
Contest Entry: xxxxx๑ Gender chosen for Contest Entry: ๑ xxxxxxxxxx¤ Female { But of course everything would be the same if it was a male }
Personality Description: xxxxx๑ The Usual ๑ xxxxxxxxxx¤ On a normal basis, Fenikkusu is a very quiet, somber female. She doesn't talk much, and doesn't like to bother others. She rarely speaks, and rather uses her actions than her words to show what she wants, if it is anything. She tends to do whatever her family ask of her, and nothing more. Fenikkusu has a tendency to stick close to her family at all times, and not liking to be far away from them. She is close to her family and doesn't have many friends, actually, since she tends to not venture around much. She's spunky as well. When it comes to people telling her what to do, she's quick to decide other things, and snap out some witty comment. xxxxx๑ The Anger ๑ xxxxxxxxxx¤ Grudges are made, and kept for a long while. She has the temper of a child at times, and hates when people do things against her. She doesn't like being angry, but her temper flares with the smallest of actions. She will fight against anything that seems to go against her or her family. And her grudges, last a lifetime. Unless you can actually earn her forgiveness, which is hard to do. xxxxx๑ The Protector ๑ xxxxxxxxxx¤ She never lets her family get in any way, shape or form, sort of danger. Or at least she tries the hardest not to. Even if it means trailing her siblings to ensure they stay safe, or fighting off some random Soquili or familiar to get them away, she will do it. She doesn't care if she's too small or a female, or anything. Nothing will harm her family, or her loved ones, ever. End of story.
RP Entry: - Prompt Two - xxxxx๑ Confusion was the first thing that crossed her mind. The filly frowned, staring forward toward the family that seemed to have everything going wrong. And though Fenikkusu didn't knowexactly the family dinamics that they held, she knew that this was not the way to be. Families should not fight. And this little female didn't like what she was seeing. The father and mother fighting to the point you could see the tension within hem, the tension that broke the air and shattered the peace. The children, screaming as well, but in a way that was painful to the ears and seemed more desperate than anything else. And, it just irritated her. Fenikkusu was used to family being first and foremost in all manors to her being.
xxxxx๑ She was not pleased.
xxxxx๑ So, with confusion in her mind, and her heart filled with a slight rage, she moved forward and away from the loud noises. Sighing, the filly moved back to her home. She looked around somewhat, before locking her eyes on her parents. Well, at least they were around. She could at least talk to them about it. Try and find out why they were fighting. It wasn't fair. Families shouldn't fight. End of story. So, she moved quickly up to her father, and nosed his chest until he seemed to notice her, before asking quickly why it was that the other family were screaming at each other, and not living a happy life as a family.
xxxxx๑ Shaking out her little mane, Fenikkusu stared up at her father. He seemed to consider her for a few moments, before sighing some and led her away from the rest of her family. The filly was confused, but followed willingly, wanting her answer. When they were away from the rest of their family, he explained how some families just weren't as strong as theirs; that some fought over petty issues that didn't need to be discussed past a quick question or two. He explained how their family was different from the others, and how no one really would ever be able to fully understand why it was they were fighting, unless they were within the family themselves.
xxxxx๑ Fenikkusu stared at her father in slight shock. She didn't understand. So, nodding her head, and following his urge to go to bed, the female walked back to the little patch of grass she had slept in with her family for many days. She curled up, feeling the bodies of her siblings and mother pressed close to hers. Frowning some, she laid her head on the grass, and pinned her ears slightly, continuing to watch them with curious eyes, until everyone else was asleep. She was still confused. Fenikkusu didn't understand, and though she might when she was older, right now, she didn't like it.
xxxxx๑ Families weren't meant to fight. It was just wrong in all natures of the world. And, with that knowledge, she hated it. She hated people. Hated how other people could allow their families to be fighting like that. Her and her family never fought. They were always so close and loveable. And it was not the right way to scream at your family in such a manor. The shouts still echoed in her mind. It almost hurt. And, with that in her head, she decided she would try to stop anyone who dared fight with their own family. She would go up and help if she had to. But fighting with family was not allowed. It was one of the worst things that a person could do. And it wasn't something she was going to let anywhere near her family.
Future Plots: xxxxx๑ I usually get/go with plots as I go, but here are some that I thought of. owo
xxxxx๑ Foal ๑ xxxxxxxxxx¤ I want her to possibly be in role-play to protect one or both of her siblings from something; be it another Soquili or a wolf or something. xxxxxxxxxx¤ I want several role-plays with family, of course. xxxxxxxxxx¤ Role-play with other foals that she doesn't know. I'd love for her to make some friends now, and let them develop later into a sort of "extended family". xxxxx๑ Young Adult ๑ xxxxxxxxxx¤ I want her to see more families fighting, and have her go in and try to help others, and at times be ran off, or have the families accept her "guidance". xxxxx๑ Adult ๑ xxxxxxxxxx¤ I want some role-play for her that can bring out her fiery side. xxxxxxxxxx¤ I want a little bit of fighting role-play, just for the fun of it. I think she would fight some if she could. xxxxxxxxxx¤ Once more, I want more role-play of her protecting her family.
