Gangrel flew back form the blow, but used the snow to cushion his landing.
"Gangrel, abandon the strategy! Growl, now!"
Gangrel's eyes faded back to their normal blood red as he hissed at Tenka.

"Charge Beam!" Shina called. She could see that the opponent was tired, while Tenka was still relatively fresh. She knew this battle wasn't over yet, but she couldn't help hoping that she might actually win this.

"Tenka, power up with Charge Beam again!" Shina called. Tenka wanted to attack again, but he could feel the weakness the growls had caused. Pulling power into himself, he felt his attack rise again.

Today, Tenka felt like he owned the air. He was attuned to the eddies and currents, and used them to slip away from the stinging ice once again. In her box, Shina could see Gangrel was on his last legs. "Tenka, finish it. Shock Wave." Swooping towards Gangrel, Tenka unleashed a mighty burst of electricity.

Gangrel collapsed as the electricity rattled his body. Walpurgis recalled him to his pokeball before regarding Shina.
"Well, we may still fight in the finals, but if not, good luck to you. I'm sure you'll make a fine gym leader."

Shina held up an arm and Tenka swooped in to land neatly on it. Shina smoothed a hand over the Emolga's back, smiling at her victorious partner.
Turning her attention to her opponent, Shina nodded. "Thank you Walpurgis. Good luck to you as well, you would make a fine gym leader yourself," Shina replied.
