Pokemon yaoi scares me... and then Yu-gi-oh I just plainly hate the show and it is a bit er wait IT IS VERY creepy when people write fanfictions about them; little kids shows + yaoi = NO NO! I tend to stay away from both and little kids shows are very... strange now... ::twitch:: they are to violent for little kids... they scare me... (your probably thinking "she's a coward")

I can see legitimate yaoi couplings in both searies even though I am a fan of one searies (yugioh)

Pokemon:
Honestly, James is verry camp and it's hard NOT to picture him gay. I could see him easily paired up with most of the adult males in the searies. Ash and Gary I cannot see though.

Yugioh:
Most of the cast is about 16-17, with the noted exceptions of Mokuaba, Noah, Shinzuka and Rebecca. Of these minors, Shinzuka has two guys interested in her cannocaly and Mokuba seems more mature than his 11-12 years (He's about 5 years younger than his brother) as well as being a little too close to Seto.... thus making him my exception to my no- shota rule in fanfic.

Most animes I see including some of the great bastions of Slash (Graviton, Gundam Wing, YYH, FMA ect) feature heavily charaters who are the same age if not younger than Yugioh (Yusuke was 14 and Kurama-the bishie who launched 1mill fanfics is about 14-15 when the searies started. And Eric Elric is 15, same for the GW pilots). Add onto that that two of the main charaters in Yugioh have seperete consiences withing them that they are attached to greatly and that those spirits seemed verry conected to their hosts (although I just do not get Marik and his Yami, they aren't even really seperate entities- but I guess that Anurism guy/Yami Marik is more 'bishie' than the more cannocly likely couple of Marik/Reshid, in seme/uke order .)

Also the age group that yugioh was targeted for was slightly higher in Japan than statside 3nodding

I like Yugioh yaoi. and Pokemon shonen ai can be cute at times....butcute, thats all. Theres really nothing wrong with it. Judgeing by in japan both shows were for an older audiance.

And whats wrong about pairing 2 guys. I mean its just as bad as the people pairing up a girl and a guy. (Yeah that sounded stupid xp )

Anime characters under the age of 16 involved with yaoi just makes me shudder but characters over 16 (depending on their appearance and how cute the couples are) then xd there's eye candy for me heart

i personally dont have a problem with it. the characters in pokemon and yugioh seem to be in teens..

-defends Yu-Gi-Oh yaoi to the death- uhm yeah, they're definantly in their older teens, like, 16/17/whatever, they're old enough to have some hot gay lovins!

And I'm kinda a shotacon so whateva!
