Orion watched as Crown got up and left, he couldn't help but wonder what was going through the other stallions mind but he would never ask or try to find out. Interfering wasn't something he liked the sound of at all, especially since he didn't like others doing it to him. Instead he simply remained silent, looking at his mate and her mother... both beautiful mares, he hoped that their children followed after their lineage more than his.... but only time would reveal that.
Renesme looked up in surprise as Crown announced he was going. "Oh....? Well, have fun and be safe." She said, to say she didn't worry all the time about her children would be a lie... at least with Crown and Eden she found out quickly if anything bad happened. She had feared a little for them when she first heard someone had been attacked by Kimi again... had feared it was Crown or Eden in the poor creatures place. It was almost shameful but she had been relieved that it wasn't one of her children, even as she found herself saddened for the actual target. She noticed the sadness in Crown's eyes but didn't comment; she didn't want to make anything worst. Plus, today was about Eden and Orion. She would ensure it remained that way.
Turning to her daughter she said softly, "Make sure you are eating well, and resting lots.... oh and you might not be able to check on your gadget things.... or if you do...." Concern furrowed her brow, "....take someone with you? For my sake if nothing else." She added, knowing her daughter was a proud creature.
Eden smiled at her mother, laughing a little. "Its going to be like this all the time isn't it, soon as someone finds out I become a breakable delicate thing." Looking at Orion and sighing as she turned back to her mother. "Should I know anything? I know Alice had a hard time when pregnant.... Did you? Is it common in or family? Should I talk to Crlisle as well as Chandra?" Not having considered there might be something inherant that made it hard to carry foals in her, she had always felt strong and healthy and so had jus assumed it wouldn't be a problem.

Renesme thought about it for a long time before looking at Eden and shaking her head, "I'm not sure my dear, I know it felt as if I have been pregnant for a long time but I never had any complications. Just lots and lots of cravings!" She chuckled at the memory, "There were three things I seemed to always want, was the first hint that there were three of you. I remember Chandra saying she thought it was because each of you needed something more from me." The smile refused to fade from her lips. She was going to be a grandmother! A grandmother! Oh, she hoped her little girl had little girls of her own, then she could spoil them all so much. Boys were lovely but everyone knew that Renesme held a special place in her heart for her little girl, and Eden would always be her little girl.
"Talk to Chandra, she will keep an eye on you all and know more than me I am sure, it was thanks to her that Alice and her babies all survived." And for that she was eternally grateful, she hadn't been ready to lose her mother or her siblings. With a shake of her head, sending her mane waving around her, she tried to return to a slightly nicer topic. "You're not breakable my dear, just very precious. Pushing it too hard won't do any of you any good. I won't tell though, not until you are ready." That said, Renesme was sure the smile upon her lips would refuse to waver for days or maybe even months! How could it?
Orion looked at Eden and tried to keep calm, he had never considered that there might be something more him to worry about. He would have to talk to one of the other stallions who had been through it, maybe there was something he needed to know too? Was there anything he could do to help? To say he was clueless would be correct. His mind started to whirl and swirl with worry, his brow wrinkling slightly as he frowned. Could he lose Eden because of this?
Eden relaxed smiling at her mother, she loved Alice as her grandmoter but knowing her mother didn't have complications relaxed her again. "Ok, good..." Looking round to Orion, seing his worry clear on his face, nuzzling him gently. "Whats wrong?" Not knowing what she was having, had she known she might have told her mother and burst her bubble, thne again had she been able to tell the future like Alice she might have seen other surprises looming that would delight her mother.

Orion looked at Eden softly, nuzzling her back before answering the question. He wasn't sure what he should say, should be the key word... should he not say anything? He didn't want to add more stress to her after all, and Renesme had just said that stress was not good for mother or baby. For a moment he just breathed in his mates scent, taking a moment to compose his thoughts. "I am just worry about you all.... let me." He had a feeling it was his job to worry, it wasn't as if he could do much else, though an idea did occur to him and without thinking that they had a witness he burst out saying; "And if you do decide to crave something.... let me get it, ok?" He really would do anything for her.
Renesme watched the couple, they may not be conventional by common uses of the word but it was clear they loved each other in their own little ways, and that was all that mattered. She knew her grandchildren would be spoilt and cherished, no matter what they were, and not just by their parents and herself. The whole herd loved children.
When Orion made his offer her grin only spread wider, it seemed her daughter was in good hooves. Not wanting to interupt she fell silent and looked to the side to avoid breaking their fragile moment. What she would give to have Rune here, to be able to break the news to him also. Grandchildren. By the Moon, what a glorious day.
Eden places a fodt kiss on Orion's nose. "You don't need to worrt Orion, I'll not risk our babies.... your babies for the world, I want them so much now that they are on their way... I never thought of ever being a mother but now..." Srugging and nuzzling close to him. "With you I want many children and to live a long time till we are so old we can't see straight and have so many great great great great grandchildren that we can never get their names right." Looking up at him happy tears shimering in her eyes. "Thats what you give me Orion." The happy tears starting to escape as she nuzzles into his dark pelt, yes she was definately pregnant, she was never this emotional.

Orion found his heart both beating for joy and breaking a little at her reaction and tears. Was it bad that he wanted that too? To grow old with the mare of his dreams and give her all those children who then have children and so and so on until their family was so large they confused names and mixed things up? He forgot all about Renesme for a moment, simply wanted a private moment with his mate, to hold and cherish her and show her exactly what she meant to him. He wasn't good with words though he did try, but he could always show her. Actions did speak louder than words after all. Holding her for a moment while her happy tears fell he found himself whispering, "I love you Eden. All of you." All being their children too, for they were a part of her and he could never hate anything that was a part of her.
Renesme felt a little awkard as she sat there, clearing her throat she raised to her four hooves and said softly, "I will speak to you both later, congradulations again my dears." She would go in search of a gift for them, already wondering what she should give. Perhaps ribbons, who didn't like ribbons after all?
Eden smiled, resting agaisnt her mate. "I love all of you too Orion." Relaxing like that, smiling to herself, though if she could read her mothers thoughts she would be laughing. Her mother didn't know her daughter well at all, thne again it would be just hilarious if she had sons. Her mother always favoured girls though she adored her sons too.

Orion stood strong, allowing his mate to lean on her, to take all of what she needed. "Rest, I won't go anywhere." Not that he needed to say that, he was sure she knew he would not leave her, especially not now. As he sat there looking down at his mate he couldn't help but stare in wonderment. This morning he had known nothing different, had assumed she was simply a little under the weather... but babies? What a gift.... a scary gift, but a gift all the same. Would he make a good father? Would they like him? All these thoughts poked and prodded at him and he knew there was nothing he could do but wait, a wait that would likely kill him as much as holding in his excitment would. He wanted to shout it from the highest mountain that he was expecting. A smile spread across his features, something few saw, but it wouldn't shift. He was going to be a father.

Crown looks down at the baskets once more before looking up at Kyran. "I.... still can't believe they just appeared..." He felt a little giddy. Still there was something that had his concern prickled. "...are they meant to be so still though?" They had decided on the names Rainbow and Wish, fitting given how the baskets had come into exsistance....
Kyran shrugs, not having a clue how quite or active baskets were supposed to be. "I've ever been near any baskets so I have no idea, but I always thought of foals and infants as being rather noisy, foals moer active but these are like new borns so... I have no clue." Looking worried, his gaze flicking between Crown and the baskets.

Crown found himself leaning on Kyran a little for strength, he didn't have a clue either, hadn't exactly been around for the Chandra's foalings, of course he rememeber Heze and Zaniah bouncing around like wild things... Auva had always been a little more reserved... wait... was it possible these baskets were mutes like Auva? His eyes went wide for a moment and he found a sliver of panic setting in. Unable to stop the tumble of words he looked at Kyran with concern. "What if something is wrong...? What if they are mutes like Auva? Or deaf? Or... I don't know! Just... something?" He protectively moved to place his head between the twins, closing his eyes as if trying to focus on any sounds of movement. Any signs of.... well... anything.
Kyran sighed, taking a deep breath, nuzzling Crown gently. "We will manage and love them despite that, no need to borrow trouble." He had no idea what to say, and little iea on how to find these thigns out. "Maybe your mother or one of the other mared from your herd thats had foals would be a help?"

Crown looked up at Kyran words... why hadn't he thought of it before? How stupid of him! Chandra! She was a midwife, dealt with children and baskets and foal on a near daily basis! She could help! For a moment he turned and looked at the baskets again. They were perfect in his eyes, their little purple gems shining brightly and reminding him of the eyes he fell in love with... Kyran. Still, Kyran was right, no matter what he would love and care and cherish these baskets as his own, for in his heart he knew they were connected, knew they were his and Kyrans. Impossible perhaps but that was how he felt with every fiber of his being. Getting to his four hooves he nodded to Kyran. "Do you think I should ask Chandra to take a look?" He didn't want to over exagerate the situation, didn't want to do anything Kyran would get upset with.... was Kyran even as worried as him? Was he simply playing the overprotective and clueless father? A frown furrowed his brow as he thought about it.
Kyran smiled and nods. "I think it can never hurt to get the opinion of someone that knows what they are doing. Go get Chandra, I'll mind these two, if its nothing then its nothing, if theres somethign wrong, better to know sooner than later." His smile reassuring, not worrying as much because if they were both worrying as much as he felt then the foals were doomed. Besides he had faith that in his dream Crown had had strong, healthy happy children, and as his wish was for Crowns hearts desire he didn't imagine anything being seriously wrong. At least that was the thought that he kept clinging to.

He nodded softly. Yeah, it was better to be safe than sorry, it was something they often implemented in the herd when he had been on duty there... it was strange to think that those days were behind him, or at least on hold for the moment. It was as if his life had completely changed from the ideal he had originally mapped out for himself... and you know what.... he wouldn't change it for a moment!
"Ok. I'll go get her." He had no fear or doubt that Kyran would be as good as his word and keep their baskets safe, knew he would do everything in his power to do just that. Still, Crown felt a little torn... he didn't want to leave any of them. This is for them! He reminded himself, as he opened his wings with a snap. "I'll be back soon!" He said with determination before setting off into the skies to get Chandra. It didn't take long to return to the herd lands, didn't take long to find the angenicorn with her striking black, blue and white pelt. Panting slightly from flying full pelt he smiled at her, "Chandra...." How did he explain this? It wasn't as if baskets just magically appeared every day? And it wasn't as if anyone in the herd had experience of this kind of thing.... plus... he and Kyran were both stallions... his mind was a drift with such thoughts, and it took a physical shake to snap himself free of them. It didn't matter what he said or told, all that mattered was that Chandra came with him. "I need your help."
Chandra had been playing with Zaniah and Heze's hair, having stolen some of her fathers beads in order to hold her new style in place... at least for a moment or two. As Crown approached, the look of seriousness washed over and sombered her mood immediately. She could only remember seeing the stallion this serious a few times before.... most recently when he announced he would be travelling with Kyran. Fear prickled up and down her spine, was something wrong? "What's wrong?" She got to her four hooves and approached the younger stallion. "Where's Kyran?"
Kyran snuggled don with the baskets, not sure if they needed to be kept warm but going with that just in case, maybe they would move away if it got too hot. Resting his head down on the grass, his wings covering the baskets, not aware of the fact that he looked like he had crash landed.

Crown looked at Chandra for a moment before nodding, the action didn't really make sense since it didn't exactly answer or tell anything correctly, it was just something he seemed to do automatically. With a pause he gritted his teeth and stopped the movement. "Sorry.... not sure which way is up right now..." He admitted. Deciding he would explain later he went with the simpliest route, "I have two baskets I need you to come have a look at.... please." Crown figured it was the surest way to get her immediate attention without having to explain too much in front of her daughters. He wasn't sure if it was the emergency he was clearly making it seem like... but he was worried. Silly really.
For a moment he watched her, hopeful that she would help.
Chandra looked at him for a moment with gentle kindness before slipping into seriousness. Baskets that needed her? As if she could say no. "Of course Crown... show me the way." She hoped that having Crown with her would cover the rule of taking someone with her, after all she really didn't want to break the trust between her and Sonnet. Turning to her daughters she said softly and quickly, "Tell your father I have gone with Crown, I'll be back soon though. I love you all." She smiled at them before opening her wings and facing Crown once more. "Let us not waste time." He could explain on the way or later, she didn't mind, but the idea of baskets in trouble had her itching to act.
A few seconds later they were both in the air and heading to the baskets that needed her.
Kyran sighed, not napping like he would have, alert for preditors, the baskets and Crown, though he looked far from it. In reality he was focused on any sounds or movements under his wings.

Crown landed with a soft patter of hooves, he had kept silent the whole way here, not trusting what he might say... he was too worried. As they landed his eyes darted straight to Kyran and the baskets. He walked towards them with a smile upon his face, and feeling very much like he was 'home'. Turning back he looked at Chandra. "Here they are." Part of him knew he should sit down and relax but he couldn't, he was nervous and shuffled uncomfortable on his legs. "We're..." He said 'we're' since he wanted to show that he and Kyran were united in this venture, "...a little worried that they aren't moving." He gulped, feeling silly for voicing his concerns but he wanted to make sure they were ok.
Chandra landed after Crown and kept silent, she figured he would talk to her when he was ready and so she just followed. Her eyes darted straight to the baskets, even as she nodded towards Kyran in a manner that said 'hello'. Something about the baskets struck her straight away... they were practically identical! She had never seen such a thing before, and it was quite a surprise. Twins. A smile crossed her lips, even as Crown spoke. "Let me have a look at the them then." She said softly as she lowered herself to the ground. The smile stayed in place even as she took the concern seriously. Placing an ear on top of the basket closest to her, with a yellow ribbon threaded on it, she listened. Tha-dump. Tha-dump. A strong heart beat. "This one seems strong and healthy." She said softly, pleased to find it so. "How old are they?"
Kyran gave Chandra a nod in return giving Crown a reassuring smile, looking at the yellow riboned basket that she said was strong and healthy. "A week I think, its been a bit chaotic since they appeared, so I'm not totally sure if it is more or less than that. But about a week."

Crown found himself unable to do anything other than watch, unable to say or do anything more. He let Kyran reply as he watched.... the first was well and healthy... the relief that washed over him was almost instantious, expect he knew it wasn't over, the second basket was still to be inspected.
Chandra understood their concern and nodded in understanding. "I see." Placing her ear on the second basket she repeated her listening. Again she heard a strong; tha-dump, tha-dump. Relief that there was nothing wrong settled into her heart as she looked up at the pair. "The second is healthy too." She chirped brightly, "A week? It's not uncommon for new baskets to be rather quiet for the first week, I am sure you will see them perk up soon.... and I must say... twins... wow... I have never seen twin baskets before." She giggled a little in excitment, her smile as bright as the Moon she loved so much. "Whose are they?" She asked, having noted already how the colourings were similar to Crown... but from what she knew Crown had never been with a mare... so who did tehse baskets belong to?
Kyran looked at Crown, having no idea how to answer that, especially as the only thing that looked like any connection to him were the spots on the tops. "Uhhhh..... Thats the thing...... ummm..." Looking embarassed and a little uncomfortable, they would be thought insane if they told the truth.

Crown found himself blushing a little at the question and Kyran's words. His golden yellow eyes focused on his partner for a moment... this was the part he had been dreading, how did you explain something that just magically happened, especially when there were mares around who couldn't even have children... let alone two stallions. With a gulp he decided to put his trust in Chandra, the mare had always seemed caring enough to him. "They are.... ours..." His blush refused to leave his cheeks even as he continued, "...We.... eh.... made a wish."
Chandra looked between the two, her smile fading a little with confusion. She didn't really understand why they were having trouble explaining. Until Crown's words sunk in. Theirs? They made a wish? Did that mean... nah... they couldn't have taken the baskets... she was pretty sure the mother would have protested by now, plus she couldn't see either of the stallions being the kind to do such a thing. Trying to understand she looked between the pair and back again before allowing her eyes to settle on the baskets. "What do you mean.... you made a wish?"
Kyran groaned and let his head go thump on the ground. "He means I made a wish... it was silly, and seemed harmless and for once I was indulging a flight of whimsy.... There was this Rainbow... it stained the sky, strong and definate, not fading right away like most do. The longer it lingered the more I felt it was special. So I made a wish on it.... really silly.... I wished that Crown could have his hearts desire, whatever it was that would make him happy.... Next day when we woke up... hello baskets from no where... and yeah I know you think I'm insane but thats ok.... I'm wondering if I am too..." All of this spilling out in a rush, not pausing at all in his need to get it out before he tohught better of it. Head still on the grass, not lookign at either of them.

Crown frowned a little at the way Kyran's head slumped to the ground. Lowering his head towards him he nipped at some of the fluff on the guys head, trying to remind him that they were in this together..... "It's as he said. I was dreaming about.... eh... well, a family that belonged to me and Kyran... I never saw the rainbow but I have absolute faith that there was one..." He chuckled a little as he remembered Kyran telling him this story earlier in the week, "..I believe he tried to wake me up to see it too, but you know me, I sleep like the living dead." The rainbow and the wish were the very things they remembered in naming their children, a constant reminder that the world was filled with magic, and magic was something you just had to dare to reach for... and wish for. It was a pure hearted and selfless wish that Kyran had made, and since the guy had wished for what Crown wanted most, Crown often worried that Kyran would have wished for something different had he gained his hearts desire....
Chandra stared in disbelief for a moment before laughing. Of all people she had evidence of things not quite as you would expect... her father was an elder after all, had told them of dreams with a god named Alignak.... so rainbows and wishes... she was willing to accept it was possible. "So basically, Kyran made a harmless wish and suddenly you both woke up with more than you could handle?" Babies weren't easy after all, not that it stopped her from wanting more, quite the opposite actually, she wanted more....
With a shake of her head she looked down at the baskets. "You better look after them really well!" She was only half joking, having little doubt that the pair would do just that... after all they had worried and sought help, something that not everyone would. In truth... she didn't think it could have happened to a nicer couple. "Do you have names yet? Or are you waiting until they open?" The excitment was clear in her voice.
Kyran lifted his head and smiled at Crown. "Its ok, I just know how insane it all sounds..." Looking at the baskets, indicating the one with the yellow bit of ribbon. " We decided to call this one Wish, that one is Rainbow. Theres only the one tiny difference so its hard to tell, will be crazy if they are both the same gender."
