The idea of rain and staying home was quite a cozy one, the planner liked to either go out to the movies with a friend or stay home to make some homey food. “Those are the best days.” Axel admitted, making a soft ‘Mmm’ sound from both the cake she’d just put in her mouth and the thought of staying home and not doing anything. His next comment brought her out of her reverie, eyes turning to his with a smile on her lips. “I like looking professional, and good of course. I might be a little fashionista on the side.” She chuckled. “Yes I do actually, I studied up a bit on decorating for table presentations and such and just overall decorating to help with weddings. Took some design classes on the side, so yes I quite do enjoy decorating.” Jezabroux sounded like a lonesome man. “No girlfriend or wife?” Axel asked innocently while putting another piece of cake into her mouth.

Good thing Luka didn’t like China, she might never have met him or his guardian for that matter. “Oh, that is very neat. You must have quite the taste for beer then?” Somehow, Axel imagined Jez with a glass of wine instead of a beer. “Most of the family celebrates their anniversaries in Greece, then there are the actual weddings, and Christmas. I think just there that fills the entire year quite a bit.” She chuckled softly, remembering the family coming in from overseas all the time. They may have been far, but they felt like close family. “I can’t always make it to everything, I obviously take care of all the weddings, and I do go for Christmas, but thats it really.” It was quite a bit, and just enough for Axel, she still had her sister after all.

Axel nodded quietly to his observation, she had made the same one. “I’ve thought about it,” she said softly, pushing the empty plate where her cake had been away from the edge. “I tried researching like people who hear voices and such, it was a little scary because most of these people went off the edge.” To know that her child might go off the edge was very scary indeed. “I guess, I will have to see how she deals with it and perhaps take her to the lab on a regular base to see if she’s doing okay whenever she starts acting weird.” The slight frown that had appeared on her face turned into a smile as she grabbed her fork once more and leaned forward to take a piece of the tiramisu and put it in her mouth. “Mmm, this is really good.”

When Axel asked the age old question about a significant other, the acupuncturist chuckled. "No, I don't have a significant other. I just really haven't had the time for one. But, with Luka getting older, I seem to be getting more and more time on my hands." He smiled. "I mean, the idea of having someone like that is nice. But, it would be wrong to get into a relationship when I can't give that person the time and attention they need." For a second, it almost felt as if the man was talking about a particular incident.

When she asked about him and beer, Jezabroux shook his head. "Not quite. I do drink some alcohol in social situations, but my family, being german, hardly drinks moderately. Beer isn't really my kind of drink, I prefer wines." He smiled. "I plan to building a wine cellar when retire some thirty or forty years from now." Closer to thirty than forty, but Jezabroux liked his job. And having a job gave the man a sense of purpose.

"That's probably your best option. I believe however, your raevan will handle the situation well. I mean, with you being her support and all." He chuckled, watching her slowly as the wedding planner leaned over and took a bite from his cake.

When the phone in his pocket began to vibrate, he took a quick glance down at the screen only to see the name L U K A. He looked up to give Axel an apologetic look. "I need to take this one. Sorry, if you'll excuse me." The Raevan rarely called, and Luka had specifically told Jezabroux this morning that he (the frei) wouldn't disturb his guardian's meeting with Axel unless something really important had come up. Getting out of his seat, he made his way outside the bakery and took the call. The man stood silently before an expression of shock hit his face followed by annoyance and confusion. Although words couldn't be made out, it seemed as though something different had come up.

Hanging up the phone, he came back in and took a seat across from the wedding planner. "Axel, I'm sorry to cut our meeting short but Luka has managed to short out all the circuits in my apartment. I really apologize about this, but it's best that I get home and take care of this." He gave her an apologetic look. "I swear that things like this rarely happen. I don't even know how he managed to do that." Massaging his temples, the acupuncturist finished his coffee. "I'll make it up to you next time. I'm really sorry about this."

Axel completely understood where he was coming from; she buried herself in work and rarely went out on dates with anyone. Just the fact that she was a wedding planner tended to keep any suitors at by once they found out her profession, so it’s not like she was doing it on purpose! “I understand, it’s only reasonable after all. A relationship needs time and patience to be nurtured into something good and beautiful,” Axel paused chuckling. “Or so I’m told, I haven’t dated for a while.” No use explaining that bit to him, she’d learned to be self-sufficient and unlike her sister, she didn’t constantly need someone by her side.

When Jezabroux confirmed Axel’s suspicions, she smiled. “You look like the more refined wine kind of guy.” Oh wow a wine cellar in a few years, it was a large project. “Will you be moving? I don’t think an apartment has enough room for a wine cellar.” She chuckled softly.

“Don’t worry, I don’t plan on going anywhere anyways.” Axel waited patiently, watching Jez through the front window. She glanced once at his dessert, lips pursing and glanced at him again. He wouldn’t know… Extending her fork once more, Axel grabbed another piece of his tiramisu and put down her fork just as quickly seeing Jez come back in. “Oh don’t worry about it, emergencies first! Is Luka okay?” Getting up, Axel grabbed her things and fetched for her wallet, grabbing the amount of money she needed and a generous tip to leave on the table. “It was nice meeting you,” Axel got closer and gave him a peck on the cheek. “You definitely owe me, haha.” Axel waited for Jez to pay his own bill and walked with him back to their cars.
