Oh yes, you must be Mr. Redford, Clive answers while approaching the councilman’s desk and reaching his right hand gesturing a handshake. Clive forcibly grins as to make an impression. Uhm, I’m here to ask about what you’ve heard about the Beast of a Thousand Knives. A friend told me you’d be the one to talk to about this matter. He says.

Mr. Redford Mr. Redford regards Clive skeptically for a moment but then what he had asked about suddenly came to the forefront of his memory "Ah, yes, you must be here about the bounty put on the announcement board. You're the first one to come by to ask about it." Mr. Redford stood up and shook Clive's hand. Mr Redford stood about six and a half feet tall and he looked to be powerfully built. Shaking his hand was like gripping iron. Mr Redford sat back down in his chair, which groaned as it took his weight. "Well lad, I'm afraid I don't have much information to give ya. All I know is hearsay, but the claims seemed legitimate enough to justify putting up that bounty. Sightings of this creature started happening about 15 days ago or so. Well... I guess I should say reports started coming in, not sightings exactly. No one has actually seen this thing." Mr Redford lets out a sigh. "It all started when a hunter coming home through the forest one evening heard some strange noises that he stated must have come from a huge creature. The next day a rancher claimed one of his cows had gone missing. When he went to go look for it in the woods, he found bizarre claw marks on trees and found a tree that had been cut clean through by something. To be honest, I wasn't going to pay this event much attention, but then a few days later a farmer claimed to hear something strange, like a a shower of knives being stuck across his roof. His milk cow also disappeared from his back yard that same night.
"After that, the pattern kept repeating itself. Every few days someone would hear some strange noise, and then someone's horse or cow would vanish. People are beginning to get scared. Whispers are going around as to when this thing is going to start taking people! We here are mostly just simple farm folk so we decided to put up that bounty to see if some adventurer would come along and investigate this for us. Now, do you have any questions for me, lad?"

As Councilman Redford talks about reports, Clive glares at him obviously trying to picture the story in his mind. Clive, more than ever, becomes more interested in finding what’s behind the mystery. Is the hunter still here in the City? Can you perhaps, tell me his name? He asks with great enthusiasm and curiosity. And, what’s the name of the rancher? Can you tell me where he lives? His mouth just keeps on going on. Can you also give me names who has lost a cow or a horse or anyone who experienced these things? Clive, after a series of questions, finally stops. He inhales deeply to catch his breath and exhales loudly before returning to his normal breathing. He waits for Mr. Redford to answer.

Kowsauni Mr. Redford Mr. Redford waits for Clive to finish asking his questions before chuckling to to himself. "Well lad, I'm glad to to see you're enthusiastic about investigating this but you just asked for a rather long list of names. Most of them won't be able to tell you more than what I have already mentioned but, since you asked, Markus was the hunter who made the initial report about what he heard in the forest. He's one of the few people in this town that spends any time in the woods. I don't think he's gone out to hunt since this all started to happen though.
"He lives in a little shack on the south end of town; you'll recognize it by the skins he has tanning on racks outside. Other than that, I would go talk to Mr. Hopkins. He's a rancher who homesteads at the southeast edge of town--last house along the road, hard to miss. He reported hearing the strange noise coming from the side of his barn just last night and reported one of his bulls have gone missing. He'll probably be your freshest lead. "Djitter I'm beginning moving to a new house tomorrow so so I might not be able to get a post out for the next four days or so. Just giving you a heads up.

Clive scratches his head with his right hand, embarassed for getting too hyped up in front of the councilman. Clive hurriedly stands up and respectfully shakes the hand of Mr. Redford. Thank you for the information. I guess I got to go. Clive is leaving the town hall and it occured to him. hm? Mr. Hopkins? That's the same man Poa told me about. I guess I better go to him first He goes on his way to find the house Mr. Hopkins is living in.

Toroto just arrived at Lupa which took him two days to get there, the reason why Toroto is here is he heard rumors of a beast terrorizing villagers from travelers he has cross on his journey. *Toroto walks near a field which was filled with crops* Looking at the crops made him hungry (Hasn't eaten for 5 hours), but he will put it aside until he has solved this case. *Upon seeing a villager, he asked about the beast* "Excuse me sir, I have heard something about a beast being down and would wish to know about it..." *Toroto stood silently for a moment, staring at the villager with Tired-like eyes*. *Toroto continued* "If you happen to know anything about it, It will provide great evidence for me to solve this case with" *Toroto waits for a answer*

Azure Toroto I don't know if you're talking to me or an NPC for kowsauni but i'll go with it anyway smile plus can you send me a link of your profile sweatdrop I can't seem to find it. oh me?Clive turns around, wasn't to surprise that someone was approaching. Excited to know that someone else is interested at the quest, he asks Hi there, I'm Clive. What's your name? Clive tries to feel his aura, an aura that emits both enthusiasm and hunger. He wants to offer food but he couldn't since he didn't brought any. I'm actually on my way to Mr. Hopkins. I heard he's one of the villagers who has been affected by the beast. And I think he's a big lead. You can come with if you want to

Toroto then realizes that the man he was talking to, was also a Adventurer by the looks of the scythe on his back and unusual clothing. "The name is Toroto, but you can call me Azure Toroto" and after he heard Clive say that he was going to a villager's home who possibly knew the beast, Toroto also willing to tag along "Well sure, whatever we're are up against may be strong, strength in number..." *Toroto continues "Also if you happen to be aiming for the reward, it's all your's, all I aim for is protecting these people from this beast". Toroto doesn't know whether to trust this man, but if his goal is to take out this beast then he is with him on that. Still Toroto is going to watch his back on this one, who's knows what he capable of. (Toroto doesn't know for a fact, That Clive has the power to manipulate trees, who knows if he will find out)

As the two adventurers travel down the southeastern road out of town, the fruit orchards eventually give way to open grassland. Small clusters of cows can be seen grazing alongside the road, paying the two young men little attention. Before long the roughly cobbled path gives way to dirt, finally ending at the edge of Tapana Woods. However, at the road’s end at the forest, a large, two-story wooden house can be seen to the left with an even larger red painted barn behind it. Based on Mr. Redford’s directions, this should be the residence of Mr. Hopkins.

Toroto walks beside Clive as they head towards this house, The whole time Toroto couldn't stop thinking of Clive's scythe and yet feels some sort of aura, but is unsure if it his hunger or the sun. Still Toroto doesn't know whether to trust Clive, but he would have to think more of the people. No matter what Clive is, Toroto has to follow and assist with this quest. "This is rather a big house, are you sure this is the correct house, Clive" Anyway, Clive lead them here since he was told the information before he had arrived in the village. All Toroto cares for is that this Mr. Hopkin fellow has the infomation, if not this search may go on longer than he anticipated.

Kowsauni sorry I've been gone for awhile sweatdrop Azure Toroto sorry I've been gone for awhile sweatdrop Clive, with little suspicion, looks to observe the house from where he and toroto are standing. Yes, this might be it. I'm kind of sure of it. It's what Mr Hopkins told me where the house would be" He said. He pauses for a while, looks at Toroto and taps his right shoulder, by the way, thanks man for letting me have the money. I really need it He says for he had forgotten to thank him earlier. He stops for a second and walks his way towards the door. anyway, let's go and find out if this is the right house Clive knocks

At first Clive’s knocks on the well-weathered door were met with silence . However, after a little bit of time, footsteps could be heard running to the door from the inside. The door then flew open to reveal a young woman in a plain country dress. The girl looked to be in her late teens to early twenties. Her cheeks were lightly freckled and she had long red hair in a ponytail tied to hang down her front. Her ears were strangely pointed despite her having an otherwise human appearance. She bore a pleasant smile and greeted Clive and Toroto enthusiastically. “Well, howdy! Welcome to the Hopkins Ranch . We don’t often get visitors all the way out here. What brings y’all out to our neck of the woods?"

Upon seeing the woman, most men would have been caught by that beauty of young farmer girl, but not Toroto. Toroto had that look which looked like "I hate my life" expression, but he is commonly like that. What Toroto thinks this woman is possibly a relative of Mr. Hopkin. Yet, Toroto is not much of a talker when it comes to women, He may explain a part of the reason why they are at her footstep. *Toroto steps forward and began to speak* "Well Madame, We are here to talk to Mr. Hopkin about a case that we are investigating..." *Sudden silence* "My friend here said that he was told to go to this residence about a beast which has been terrorizing the villagers, if Mr. Hopkin happens to be home, Can my friend and I talk to him if he has any info on the beast?". Toroto wonders if this could be a trap, what if this ends up being like that event which happen to him a year ago. a couple of travelers one time ask him for help to save their friend from bandits, but ended up that the Bandits used them to try catching him. Friendly faces sometimes deceives the beholder.
