"Ours." Hyde said, but with a growl to his voice and a possessive shine in his eyes that also reflected a more... singular propriety. If the foals were worthy, he would not let them travel exclusively down Mary's own private trail of madness.
"Let us see what our dark blood breeds." He hissed with a smile.

What their dark blood breeds, what else? "Gods," she whispered with a feral pride. She lunged for him, then spun on a hoof before connecting, and ran. She wanted to run, to chase, to be chased. If she was going to have baskets, if she was going to have offspring, let them feel blood thrumming through their flesh at every moment. Let them feel the pound of a heart in time with the pound of hooves.

Hyde laughed darkly and exuberantly. While he didn't believe himself or Mary to truly be gods, perhaps the devil looked after them. He let that wildness, that evil run through his blood and he hoped that it would overshadow the sniveling Jekyll when their foals arrived.
And if they were like the other him? Well, he just wouldn't bother. He didn't see a down side.
With a rear and a kick off the ground, Hyde chased Mary and, in her gravid state, soon overtook her with a less-rough-than-usual shoulder-bump, galloping on ahead to challenge whatever they would face.
Bardess Ookami Should we call this one a wrap? smile
