"So... Night Sight, what were you doing before I ran into you?" She tilted her head. "I was on my way back home before I got distracted..." The doe blushed at the fact that yes, she did seem very scatterbrained.

"Resting by the pond, enjoying the water, and.... thinking." He blushed. "I think a lot about things." He thought back to the collision. "Is home for you a little far from here?"

"Just a bit. I was going to find a place to rest before I made my way again. Why do you ask?" Her ears twitched a bit.

Awkwardly, and realizing what he'd implied, he let out of quiet puff of air and said, "if you want to take a rest here, that's fine. I've got plenty of warm, soft moss to sleep on." He puckered a lip.

"I don't mind staying over." She smiled. Her tail waved. "Thank you friend!" He was so kind. It was nice! "I'm glad to have met you!"

He blushed a little, and was thankful for his black fur covering his cheeks. "You're welcome. I can walk you back tomorrow too if you'd like. I'm new to the area and don't have too many friends." He smiled, and then nosed at his little flower stash in the tree. "I'll be sure to get more of those sometime, and we can have another petal dinner."

"I would really like that! Thank you." She bowed her head. "Where would we be resting?" She blinked and moved to shake out her fur.

He walked into the tangled mess of moss a bit farther, and then pointed with a hoof to a spongy, layered moss nest in the back. "I can make two if I take a few layers off," he said awkwardly, and then looked around the room to survey how much he had for space. The little circle of trees made a nice dense room with hanging moss walls.

Firefly shook herself off a moment, then looked to her companion. "I don't want to burden you. I could just sleep on the ground. I don't mind Night Sight." He was such a nice buck, she didn't want to trouble him with anything of the sort

He shifted a hoof, and cleared his throat awkwardly. "Ah, I see... It wouldn't be a bother, really," he stumbled, "if you're sure..." He looked back at her pretty bright yellow, and then licked her cheek quickly before dodging away again.

"Oh..." She felt her face heat up. "I...uh..." She sat down and tapped her hoof in the damp soil. "Whatever you'd like to do I suppose..."

He trotted over, and then pulled some of the moss off, yanking it over to the other corner, and making sure he pulled the softest bits off. "There you go," he said with a pink-cheeked smile. "Do you need anything else? Something to snack on or drink?"

"You're welcome," he smiled back. "I'll let you sleep now..." He stepped out, and then down to the river for something to drink. When he came back in, he quietly tip-toed to his own little bed, and curled up for the night.

Firefly had curled up, sighing slightly as she was there, yawning lightly as he stepped up before smiling.
