"She is a very dear friend of mine," Marie murmurs in explanation, which is true only for a given value of truth. The truth is that she and the Lady Lisette move in very different social circles indeed, but the Lady has always been kindly amused by those beneath her. She is outrageous enough to find the purpose of this outing to be marvelously entertaining, Marie just knows it.
"I believe also that she would very much admire your Samael, and be pleased to meet him; she has a great fondness for Guardians, and has thus far got on very well with most of them." She declines to mention that this is partly because the Lady Lisette is also gifted with a Guardian of her own, but from what Marie has understood her Guardian is so very different from the aforementioned Samael that an observer would possibly suspect they are two very different species.

"So, she will come." But then Paul hesitates, frowning down at Marie just a bit as he considers what she is signing onto. And what she's signing her friend onto. His fingers strum against his side, a thoughtful little pattern. In his head, he's buying food for them all to eat for a brief stay, and tallying up the associated costs --
"It's dull, though, I must warn you." This comes out slowly, hesitantly. "It's a small town. Very small. Mostly, it will be time spent at the estate, our out riding..."
