"I wasn't claiming to know you. At all. I'm just trying to get you to cheer up," he said to him, resting his elbows on the table and propping his chin in his palm. "By the way, if you want, I could walk home while you two go back to his apartment. It's fine with me. Ya know, whatever makes you happy. Oh, and I don't pity you. I just wish you'd stop being stubborn and brighten up. I don't care what you've been through. If you sit there in a slump, it's not gonna help anything. Live it up and be happy that you have a friend that'll do anything for you. Be thankful for the things you do have. Don't dwell on the sucky parts of life, or you'll just drag yourself down further," he said, keeping the small smile on his lips the whole time he was talking. He chuckled a little at Demyx's beautiful singing voice. "I still say you should enter the talent show this year, Dem."

Axel rolled his eyes. "Demyx...your singing voice is beautiful. I've been trying to tell you this for years. Hell, I'll join you in the talent show if you want. I can play my guitar or keyboard or something. Might even sing if it'll get you to do it. I just want you to do it once. And it's senior year, so it's the last year to do it. Come on, Dem," he told him, pouting a little. When Roxas spit up the drink, Axel laughed a little. "Oh, come on. It's not that bad," he told him, taking a sip of his own drink which matched Roxas's. "Though, you did put too much Coke in it this time, Dem. Try to equal everything out, ya know," he said with a small laugh.

Axel came back with the pizza, setting it down on the table and opening the box. He then snatched a bottle of Catalina from the table beside them and set it down on the box beside the pizza. His smile dropped slightly as he saw the two's attitude. "Hey...what's up, guys? Tonight's supposed to be fun..," he said quietly, frowning deeply now. He sat down and poured a good bit of Catalina out in the corner of the box before grabbing a piece of pizza and dipping it in teh French sauce. "Well...I don't know about you guys, but I'm gonna try to enjoy myself...and eat this $40.00 pizza... Whether I eat it by myself or not, it'll be gone by time we leave. I'd much rather some help, though..." He took a slow bite out of his pizza. "Man, they make the best pizza..," he mumbled to himself, kind of looking off to the side as he ate in silence. A few minutes passed before he blurted out, "Hey, why don't we go to the beach for a little bit after we eat? Get some fresh night air and feel free..."

Axel just stayed silent during the small healing moment of something he apparently hadn't been present for. He easily ate clean through three huge pieces of pizza as he was a bit spaced out for the next few minutes. When he finally snapped out of it, he was munching halfway through his fourth piece. And he had no idea where he was anymore nor what they were talking about. It took a few moments to recognize his surroundings and everything before it came rushing back. He sat there, pizza half-way lifted to his mouth as he stared blankly. It happened every once-in-a-while. He would start thinking so deeply that his brain just...shut off completely. Usually Demyx had to bring him back and help him remember what happened. He wasn't sick or anything, he just spaced out that hardcore.

Demyx's shaking isn't what got Axel's attention--it was Roxas's outburst. Still frozen, he said softly, "No, he didn't." His eyes then focused on Roxas's. "I thought you were cute. He was trying to get us introduced so I wouldn't be scared to approach you. I have a problem approaching people I have an interest in. Especially males since, you know, you, Dem and Xaldin are the only three that know I like males. And before you go blowing up at Dem for God knows what, why don't you try asking what we were doing before we came to hang out with you? Oh, man, were we about to ********. Just like the twenty times before. So if you're a slut, I must be the biggest of them all. You know what, I ruined Dem's chance of actually holding a relationship because I got him so caught up on sex. So you better shut your mouth yelling at one of the people that cares most about you when you don't even know his side." He had a deep frown set on his face, eyes downcast as he calmly stated every word. "And, no, you're not ruining anything. In fact, I enjoy being around you. I just wish you'd stop being so bitchy towards everyone and at least try to enjoy yourself. Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to go get some fresh air. Head's killing me... Just tell me when we're leaving for the beach." He stood and walked out of the pizza restaurant, sitting outside at one of the tables. He was and leaned back in the chair, closing his eyes towards the sky as he enjoyed the fresh air. A nice breeze blew by and he smiled to himself.

Axel slowly opened his eyes, bringing his head back down so he could look at Roxas. Their eyes locked: sapphire with emerald. His body was so relaxed that as soon as Roxas's lips touched his, his eyes slid shut. His arms slowly slid up to rest around Roxas's waist as they shared the moment together. He gently pulled him down into his lap and kissed him deeper before pulling back from the kiss and looking back into his eyes. "Does this mean you're gonna be less bitchy? Because I'd like to see a happier side of you, ya know," he said, a teasing smile dancing on his lips. "Your eyes are prettier when you're not all gloomy, too," he told him, looking into them deeply. "Sorry about my little space-out earlier, too. I do that sometimes. When I'm not talking and get thinking, my brain just, like, completely shuts off. It's weird."

"I'm definitely ready now. Headache gone. Like magic," Axel said with a smile as he stood, glancing over at Roxas before smiling sheepishly and looking back at Demyx. "Let's go. It's much more fun there than here," Axel said as they began walking back down to where Demyx's car was parked. "I can't decide if I wanna build a sand castle first or go skinny dipping in ice-cold water. Such a hard decision, ya know?" he said, definitely in a better mood now as he walked along, chatting the other two up. "Which would you two suggest?" he asked them curiously.
