And horned breedings. All of the horns and all of the breedings! <3 Favourite edit ever. Did you see the customs I threw at Seru? They're basically all the same, with three colour themes. xD (And most of that is "do what inspires you!" xD ) I really hope I get picked. It'll be something different to all my browns which will be cool. Aaaand, I'll actually have a growing Maneki Neko! <3 I need to type up the wings edit idea bit. Any ideas you want to throw at me for my consideration? (Not just on wings, for example- any horn ideas? xD )

Well... I couldn't decide on a colour theme. xD So I changed the marking colours completely, and slightly altered the base colour. 8D There are two Maneki Neko with deer antlers! Funny story. They're owned by Maus and myself, and they're both called Heskil. >.> We share one of the places we get name ideas from, and I guess the same meaning (Winter One) appealed to us both? xD Unfortunately Maus is not an RP-er, so if she ever breeds it will be in one of the rare no-RP slots. I think I'll stick to doing RP-free slots, to give myself more choice. *Has had to do nasty breedings in the past.* >.> I shall have to scour the Gaia wing items to find some I like I think! Yesss. Something small-ish and sleek, not huge wings. Plot plot plot. And there's already a devil-kitty! He's called Lucifer. I don't really think of horns as automatically being devil-ish though. Hum. I need to set out one single Maneki Neko design for Pia's slots. Ideas? Other than curly horns. And I assume you'd want me to get a spirit tail because I know you love them. xD And I want to apply for a mane edit because I love manes. (Not hair. Actual feline-mane. Mmyesss.)

And I know Maus does too, but I try not to think of it, since there's next to no chance I'd ever get to breed one of mine with it. T~T
Freaking love hers though.
And I don't think horns automatically = devil either, but I saw some nifty looking devil wings when I googled "wings" (to get ideas lol) and thought DEVIL KITTY.
Didn't even know there was one already in existence!
There needs to be more 'themed' MN...if that makes sense.

xD! I more meant with the edits I described... But, whilst browsing wings, I DID have some ideas for aligned Maneki Neko! Maybe a Death one which defies the stereotype, and is more of a... an end to suffering type thing. But mostly I've been trying to think of an Earth-based one for AGES! And now I have some ideas. emotion_awesome I'll have to shuffle down my breeding schemes and put in a post just for actual complete Maneki Neko ideas. (Although that dragon kitty idea is VERY cool, I don't think it's one I'd want for myself. >.> ) Anyway, if you want to see what I pulled up for inspiration, here are the ones I liked. (Click "Edit this Avatar" and then look at the hidden layers on the right. In case you're unfamiliar with Tektek. >.> ) And your tribal idea is safe. I haven't really thought up ideas for patterns. xD I'd like the colourists to come up with something interesting and cool themselves! <3 That way there's still some surprise.

Ooh, I love the Gogh Reed leafy wings.
Those would be way cool on an earthy kitty.
Maybe you could throw a cool mane on that one...something like a leaf mane?
Maybe not something that sticks out so much, but more...slowly merges with the cat's back line?
Lol reaper kitty? Black and silver?
But that's fairly stereotype; what specifically did you have in mind for "an end to suffering" one?
I might have to take that dragon kitty idea...It's growing on me.

Yeah, the Gogh Reed ones were the ones which really gave me the idea for it! I'll have to play with ideas... I thought s/he could also have horns which were sort of wood-like, as if they grew on a tree, and were partly curled around the ears, and had another bit which extended up into tiny antlers. I will have to play with the leaf mane idea! It's not a bad one... But definitely something more subtle, instead of so very "BAM LEAVES". xD Maybe describe it as being "something which looks like it might be leaves, or it might be long fur". But I will definitely keep that picture for reference! As for the Death kitty... I dunno. I'm thinking that she would be called Mercy. And she would be white with black. And... I dunno, beyond that. D: It was just a very vague idea, I probably won't have her made. I have too many ideas already! xD And I'll half-expect to see it in Pia's request thread. ;] Hummm... I need to settle on a horn style, a wing style, the tail is definitely going to be the spirit tail. The colour scheme, though... I dunnooo! D: I simply do not know. I might go "ONE OF THESE" and leave it up to Pia if I get a slot. Customs slots here are so hard to get. So many people go for one, and it makes me sad that so many people are people who've never posted before and may not post again. Or who only show up for sales. :c My breedings (and if I officially become full-time, customs) will be CC, and I'll lean towards people I know will stick around.

And the "BAM LEAVES" was the reason I threw out the suggestion to smooth it down, cause if you followed that reference exactly...I'd be...no.

Seruta's customs looks to have mainly regulars, but my soul definitely cried a little when the recent FS was SWAMPED with people I've never seen...and most of them won.
Especially that husky...FFFFFF....ah well.

Yesss! I shall have to type up the Earth kitty. Who will probably actually be Trees-aligned, rather than Earth. And for another kitty, one who's actually based off the edits I've posted. Hrrrm. *Ponders.* I wish I could talk to Pia about this. I like her ideas. Mane fer sure. Fluffy ears, yes. Spirit tail. But wings and horns, and gender, I cannot decide on. D: Halps! Yeah... The FS was mostly won by people who'll probably do nothing with their new puppy-themed Maneki Neko. :[ That is pretty sad. I don't understand the mentality behind it. Why try for a pet if you're not even going to hang around the shop? I mean... That's just my view. But it deprives someone who WOULD hang around, and hrnn. Nothing to be done about it, it just sucks that it tends to be the rule, rather than the exception, that most of the Maneki Neko are won by people with no interest in being active. I don't mind some going to people who win-and-run, but when it's MOST, it's disheartening. I hope February's stuff goes to people who'll cherish them. >.>

Renshu Li Trees Aligned Maneki Neko Female? Edits: Mane should be "fur that looks like leaves". The idea came from this, although stay away from clearly defined separate leaves. Colour should be mottled greens, the main area should be deep "healthy" green; mottles of brighter "bud" green, perhaps mottling down to yellows, oranges, and finally brown towards the bottom. (This colour scheme should also be used on the tail.) The mane should start on the forehead; perhaps have some slender strands/sections going in front of the ears to show it's not "tucked" behind them. It should have longer fur on the cheeks, some of which incorperate themselves into the mane. Also longer fur from the inner ear should join into the mane as well. The final bits of mane should be seen on the lower chest/upper stomach, behind the front legs. Horns should be rough, sort of like a tree branch grown into horn shape. One section should curl around the ears. The other should be a tiny "antler"-style offshoot near the top of the curled horn; leaning backwards. It should be coloured like bark. "Wings" should be primarily based off these. Tail should be the Spirit Tail, edited to "match" the mane's slightly leafy look. Same colouring as the mane. Eyes should be slightly narrower and tilted- sort of "almond shape" with the outer points tilting slightly up. Also Longer fur on the "elbows". Colours: The body should be mottled "bark" colours, with green patterning ("healthy" leaf green, the dark but saturated shade of well-watered, well-lit leaves.) Face markings, something around the eyes and perhaps on the cheeks. Unsure on the markings; but perhaps something which is inspired by vines/leaves etc, but remains somewhat abstract. Perhaps more angular than vines? Now I just have to hope she can be made! (Definitely leaning towards female, for some reason...)

I especially want to see how that mane turns out.
Hm...I think your second one should be a male.
Just sounds like it would look better as a male, and you'll be able to see the horns WAY better on the male body.
I'm horrible with wings, but for the horns...Depends on the mane; has to compliment each other.
I love the horns that curl back, but I don't think they'd look best.
Maybe horns like the one your avi is wearing?
It is so sad!
Urgh, I was so disappointed to see most of those winners...
I hope so too; I've kind of caught on that the Feb stuff is going to be pretty awesome.

Yesss she would be gorgeous! <3 I hope she catches Pia's eye as well, as I recall she mixes CC and RNG to decide which customs she does. I... really don't know about gender. >_< I prefer the males in general. But the fact that the head faces straight towards us wouldn't be the most flattering for the horns... The females would be more flattering for them, since you could see the upwards horns tilting back; and you'd see more of the curled horn as well. This is the BIG dilemma that I can't solve! D: Side note: Khan just found a new way to get my attention. Ben bought me a "Snuggie" (urgh, I hate calling it that) and part of it was hanging off my chair. Khan kept pulling on it until I fussed him. xD I dunno about the horns either. I suppose the curled-back ones would look better with the smaller mane style. Hmm, yes, I'm leaning more towards ones like I wear... But I love the curly ones too, and I can't really show my curly-horn love on my avatar (they layer over my ears and it looks weird!) Oh, speaking of ears, I forgot to think about ear edits for Miss Nymph-Tree-Spirit. Hum. And I dunno about "awesome"! But I did... about half the stuff we have so far. xD I'm not a very good judge of my own stuff. But I am looking forward to seeing the reactions in-thread when the stuff goes up! I did put a lot of effort in, so... Well, we will see what happens. :]

I think I laid out the edit designs on the first page! Thoughts?
And I'm not sure about colours. If I get Tree-Spirit done, then I'll lean well away from browns... But if Seruta does one of my colour themes, then I might want to lean away from that.
BUUUUT, assuming she doesn't, which of the designs (grey/silvers base, one with red markings and one with purple) should go to which design?
And any markings designs?

Oh ya...Hmm...I was thinking the male, on the terms that you'd be able to see both horns clearly....but that's true that you wouldn't get the full effect of the horns.
I think it depends on the horn style, and what you want the focus on.
But it sounds like you might be leaning toward female, or rather, should, if you want people to see the curves/curls of the horns.

Though I might lean toward something like Raumo's - you've already got A LOT of edits going on, and some of the details should be more subtle than others.
Lol I'm sure my reaction will be along the lines of:
"OHMYGERD, I WANTS! THE BREEDS!" haha
And your second post...to what does it refer?
Mainly your earthy kitty, or a new kitty?
Because...I don't think red or purple should go with earthy kitty lol.
More like... primarily green and white with brown accents.
