He gave her a flat glare that he obviously didn't mean. One again, Danny always breezed past the point right to where it made Rikki look weird. She had a talent. Rikki wasn't impressed.
He squeezed her ankle gently and pressed a kiss to her shoulder. "I didn't even know you had cousins. Who are they?"

"I ... don't actually know. I've only met cousin Lou and he's um ... He's a big dude. I think he's bruteball quarterback or something. He's really boring though, he never says more than like ... two words," Danny explained, shrugging. "He's already gotten his passport though I think."
Danny ruffled his hair while she squinted into the distance, trying to remember her cousins. "I really can't remember any of them ... Mummy said it was a boil though. He's a fire demon too I guess. Andy? Something like that."
She looked at Rikki. "Don't you have cousins?"

Rikki's eyes momentarily glazed over as he imagined the havoc that was about to come over the school with not one but two fire demons among it's ranks. There might have been a tremor. Just a little one.
"I haven't really met any other family. I don't even know if my parents have other family. They never talk about it." He picks at one of the holes in his jeans and shrugs. "I can't imagine what they'd be like if they existed though. A whole line of cold hearts."

Danny's head tilted. "Why would their hearts be cold? Are they part ice demon or something ..."
Danny's stomach might've done flips at the idea that Rikki would be part ice demon. It would be doomsday.

He laughed and leaned up to kiss the side of her head - he was short, okay? - shaking his own gently. "No, no ice demons here. My family just sucks," he shrugged. "I bet yours is going to be awesome though. I'll have to meet him when he gets here."

"Good 'cause if you were an ice demon," she paused, looking at him warily. "W-Well never mind that!!"
Meanwhile, Andrew was probably sneezing somewhere. The poor thing didn't know what was coming.
