Roxas nodded quickly. "I know the whole thing by heart, so it should be easy to help you learn." The blonde said happily sitting on the couch next to Axel again. He looked so happy. "I would rather you consult me about any questions, just to keep misunderstandings from happening. Roxas, here, sometimes gets confused and I would rather not have a serious problem on my hands." Ansem said looking over at Roxas who looked back at him while he was speaking. "Thank you, you don't know how much this means to me." Roxas whispered before leaning over and kissing his cheek. "Just don't betray my trust, darling. You know the rules, just because he will be visiting you doesn't mean they don't apply." Ansem spoke with a loving sternness before he stood straight up again. "Now that all the introductions are settled I have a meeting to attend. Axel, if you have anywhere to be before 6 pm you'll need to leave now because if you stay the door will be locked." Ansem said putting on his more business attitude. The blonde backed off immediately leaning back onto the couch before looking to Axel.
"You are going to stay right? You can't leave so soon, you just got here." Roxas pleaded with the redhead. "Don't beg. It is disgraceful." Ansem snapped before Roxas closed his mouth quickly and leaned back to his place less close to Axel. The blonde acted so much like a trained dog in front of Ansem. It was honestly beyond terrifying the power the man held over the smaller blonde.

Axel frowned a little when Ansem snapped at the blond. It didn't bother him...but he guessed the rules needed to be followed. "No, I have nowhere to be. I'll stay until six." He looked over at Roxas with a soft smile then stood, bowing slightly to Xemnas. "Thank you, Sir, for the job. I greatly appreciate it. I will follow the rules and watch over Roxas to the best of my ability." He stood straight again, a slight smile on his lips. "And I will do anything I can, following guidelines of course, to make Roxas enjoy himself while I'm here."

Ansem smiled again at the two before moving towards the door. The sound of keys could be heard as he opened the door and walked out. The door locking back behind the man was a fairly sound to the blonde. The blonde waited in his trained position for a few seconds after footsteps disappeared before he jumped on top of Axel hugging him. "Oh, I'm so excited! You don't understand the amount of boredom that goes on while I'm alone here. I don't get a lot of outside contact. I don't think I can even remember the last person I was able to talk to that wasn't with Him." Roxas said happily not realize that wasn't a normal thing. "Come on, I want to show you my room." Roxas said before getting up off the redhead and started for the hallway looking back at him. Axel really was a dream come true for Roxas.

Axel sat there just as silent as Roxas was before the blond jumped on him. He laughed a little at how happy he seemed. "I'm glad I can make you happy by just being here, then," he told him before he got up, book still in hand, to follow Roxas down to his room. "Alright, alright. I'm coming," he told him with a light laugh. He was so adorable...like a child with a new friend. He may as well have been, anyway. "I don't see how you haven't gone completely bonkers being locked away in this place for so long. How long have you even been here?" he asked, looking around as he walked behind the blond.

"During the day, I'm not normally up. I sleep most of the time, until He gets home. And even though it is just Him, it doesn't bother me so much anymore." Roxas said softly asked he made it to the farthest door on the right in the hallway. He flipped a switch on the wall by the door before heading down the steps. "How long? Ummm years for sure... hmmmm it was a couple of years after I had been adopted, I remember that I was adopted, and that was back when I was... ten, maybe nine." Roxas said looking back at him as he made it to the bottom of the staircase. The room had no windows and the only real piece of furniture was the bed and two nightstands. There were plastic bins stacked about with random contents. A few had clothes, and other had what looked like some sort of leather with chain. There was only one open though, and the lid next to the box was marked 'baby's' on the top. It had an odd collection of things. Photos of Ansem and Roxas, candy, a tablet with it's charger, a couple stuffed animals. One thing that was noticeable about the box was the alarm clock that was tossed on the top of everything.
The bed looked very elegant and out of place in the room. Compared to the barren concrete walls and floor, it clashed heavily. Upon heavier inspection of the room, on the opposite side of the bed from the door, there was also a mattress on the floor. It wasn't clean and elegant like the bed. It seemed to match the room and the blonde... It was plain to see that the blonde didn't get to sleep in the bed at night... He slept on the dirty mattress next to the bed...

Axel had to frown a little as he looked around at the room. "Hey, Roxas..? I really don't mean to offend you or Ansem, but...do you ever get the feeling of being more of a pet than a son to him? I just... I dunno... It just makes me feel uneasy seeing some of the things in here. I can tell by how he speaks about you and looks at you that he cares about you, but how he treats you kind of confuses me. Most people treat the things they care dearly for...well...better... Then again, he could just have a different way of showing it. I don't really know him at all. I don't know you that well, either." He smiled softly at him. "How about we get to know each other since we're going to be spending so much time together?" he suggested.

Roxas looked up at him with a bit of confusion as he pulled his box over to the mattress. "Son? I'm not Ansem's son... We are engaged." Roxas said softly before looking down into the box as he sat down and started to dig through it. A moment later he pulled out a small jewelry box and opened it. "I'm not allow to just wear it around, He says I might break it or lose it." Roxas spoke softly smiling the the ring before showing it to Axel. It was an impressive ring, the stone it's self probably could pay out enough to get Roxas far, far away from here if he ever escaped. After a moment of thought, Roxas looked up at Axel's emerald eyes bringing the ring down into his lap. "I don't understand what you are asking, He has always told me that if I loved Him like He loved me, I would be okay with the discipline. You need order in one's life. Without order there is only destruction. He use to tell me stories about my parents and how they let me do whatever I wanted, and then He found me and give me back order in my life. That's why I'm not allow to leave the house you see. He says that if there is too much chaos out there for me to handle. That it is safe here and I should be grateful, and I am. " Roxas said pleasantly to the redhead. The blonde was completely brainwashed into believe that this was just what life was like. He had no idea what was behind the front door of the apartment, so he believed what Ansem told him. "I would really like that. We could turn it into a game even." Roxas said happily as he moved to carefully put the ring back in his box.

Axel kept his mouth shut at his words. Engaged... Holy s**t... "That's a very pretty ring. Anyone would be happy to have that," he told him in a soft voice. He looked around. It really reminded him of a master and his pet... "The world is so much more different than you think..," he said quietly. "Yes, it's chaotic, but there's also order to it. It depends on how you choose to live..." He looked back down at him. "I wish you at least had a window to look through to see that..." He shook his head. "Anyway...what kind of game would it be? Like 20 questions?" he asked to change the subject. He had a bad habit of speaking his mind without his mind's consent, and he didn't want to upset Roxas.

Roxas thought for a moment on the window thought. "Sometimes.... when I get really bored, I watch the people go by in the kitchen window... The people I see outside the window don't look like they have choices..." Roxas said softly not realizing that he just lived in a bad neighbor where crack dealers and whores are quite common. "We can play 20 questions if you want, but you might have to remind me how to play. Although I was thinking we could play like truth or dare, except like mix it up to where we only do truths and if we don't want to answer the truths then we have to do a dare," Roxas said with a smile on his lips. "I call it the Sora version of Truth or Dare, because my brother invented it... Man, I had forgotten about Sora.. It's been so long..."He said starting to wander off into his own mind a little.

Axel listened to the blond speak, smiling a little when he spoke of his brother. "You have a brother? Tell me about him," he requested softly, sitting down on the dirty mattress with Roxas. He looked over at him with a gentle smile, wanting to know about Roxas's life outside of this apartment. He seemed like such a sweet kid... Wait... Axel kept thinking of him as a kid, when he was really only two years younger than him.

Roxas nodded a little to the question coming back to reality. "Yeah, umm let me see if I still have the picture of us." Roxas said digging into the box once more. From the bottom of a few other pictures, he pulled out one of him, and a spiky brunette. "That was day that Ansem came and told me I would be living with him... I couldn't tell Sora... I didn't have the courage...I just told him I wanted to hang out for as long as I could that day... He probably hates me for leaving and never telling him." Roxas spoke softly with a little regret. The picture was worn and slightly crumbled, but the picture of the brunette was still clear. That was really mattered to Roxas anyways. "You know I asked Ansem once if I could see Sora again, but He said that was a bad idea... He said Sora had made a great life after I left.... That I was only standing in his way before." Roxas whispered staring down into the picture.
The reality of the whole situation that Ansem stalked Roxas and convinced the poor boy that he had to leave his family... Roxas couldn't remember much because it was so long ago, so when Ansem told him things like he was suppose to leave. He just believed him. After all the abuse, Roxas just believed Ansem, because Ansem was the only thing he knew anymore.

Axel gently took the picture from Roxas's hands, looking down at it. He studied the brunette's face, hair... He thought as he listened to Roxas talk. His heart sank lower and lower as he went on. So...Ansem had...basically kidnapped him...and kept him here until now... He had convinced Roxas that had had to leave his house...because Ansem was selfish. He wanted Roxas to himself...at such a young age... He suddenly felt disgusted. But what could he do? He was involved now. Even if he called the police, Roxas didn't seem to want to leave... He did seem to want to go see Sora, th-- "Holy s**t!" he said suddenly, eyes wide as he looked at the brunette in the image. "Sora, Sora, Sora... I know him! He's in my bio. class!" he cried disbelievingly. "Though...he never looks near as happy as he does in this picture..." He frowned then, running his thumb over the brunette's face. "He actually looks pretty sad usually. And he's quiet... He's a frickin' genius, but he just never really talks...to anyone."

Roxas brightened immediately. "You know Sora! That is amazing! You have to bring me a picture of him please! I have to see him!" Roxas said cheerfully before hearing that Sora wasn't very happy. "Oh... that doesn't sound like Sora at all. He was always happy! Always, I mean, even when something bad would happen, he would be like this ray of sunlight in the dark...but that was back when we were kids. He must be like me and not able to withstand the chaotic world. Can you tell him-..."Roxas said before cut himself off. "Rule #7, No outside contact, at all... Sorry about that, sometimes I forget my place." Roxas said, but he didn't seem as happy as he was before. "Let's talk about something else now. What are you majoring in? You are in...college right?" He said having a small memory relapse for a moment. His hand taking back the photo and putting it back in the box under the rest of the pictures.

Axel smiled as Roxas's face lit up. He loved seeing the little blond happy. Axel frowned again when Roxas stopped telling him what he wanted to tell Sora. "You can tell me what you wanted me to tell him. I won't tell him, I promise... It might be nice to get out anything you want to tell him," he offered softly. "And I think I'll try to become his friend...for both of your sakes. I won't tell him about you, but I will be able to tell you about him and how he's doing. It'll be like me telling you about a friend of mine." When he was asked if he was in college, he smiled softly. "I'm an art major. Yes, I'm in college. I get to paint and draw and design all day long," he told him, a smile on his lips.

Roxas brightened a little again. "That would be so cool of you, Axel. You really are an awesome friend, I mean I never really had a friend to compare you too, but if I did, I think you would be the best." Roxas said happily before thinking back to what he wanted to tell Sora. "If I could talk to Sora again, I would want to tell him that I missed him so much and that things just haven't been as bright without him. I would also want to tell him that I'm making it through this big, dark world one step at a time even if I don't have him to guide me with his light. I think I would also tell him that I'm engaged and relatively happy and that one day we'll be able to be together again. I know it. One can only stay in the dark so long before finding the light." Roxas said before pulling out a spiral-bound notebook and a pen. 'Here let me write it down for you so you don't forget." Roxas said happily.
He opened the notebook and and started to write on the lined paper. It was interesting to see how pretty Roxas's cursive handwriting was for someone that probably didn't get formal schooling being locked away in his apartment. It was very flowing and smooth with an expression all of it's own. He finished the short paragraph note before tearing the paper out and handing it to Axel. "That is what you need to remind Sora of when you see him for me." Roxas said with a bright smile on his face. He couldn't remember the last time he smiled this much in one day. "Oh that sounds so cool, He never lets me do art. He says it is too expressive for my own good." Roxas said softly. He didn't sound sad as he said it though, there was just no feeling behind it. It was just another rule he had learned.
