First Interaction with the Card

It was really, a very beautiful card.

Flicking it over in his hand and staring at the rose etched on the front, Shy shook his head. Souls trapped inside this fragile form? He wasn't sure what to believe.

But then, from a man who raised the fae from jars, surely this wasn't too much of a stretch.

"Shy, your next appointment is here."

"Send them in, Nora."

"It's BETH."

"Yes, Beth."

The card seemed to take up most of his attention now. Jasper, his little one wanted to chew on it, but Shy wouldn't let him. If it turned out all that it was, was a card, then he would frame it.

If it was more...

"Scientist Shy?" a voice tremored at the doorway.

Shy looked up, and smiled. "Please, come in." he placed the card on his desk, propped up against a photo of a cloud kingdom, and nodded his head. In sight, but out of mind.

For now.

"Now." he purred. "Tell me. What can I do for you?"
