Taking his seat at the table, Jason picked up a menu for himself and, once opening it and scanning down the list of available meals, grew slightly pale

He couldn't read this. It was all in French, he had no idea what the heck anything was. Not to mention there was no price next to them either, was this a French thing?

He was too busy trying to find a word he recognized, he nearly didn't hear Solia. Looking over the top of his menu, He tried his best to smile and not show his anxiety. "I-it wasn't too hard...I found a life lab computer no one was using...looked up some famous restaurants in the area...things like that."

"Voulez-vous un peu de champagne?"

The sudden voice startled him, causing him to jump in his seat. He looked around at the waiter who was holding a bottle, and he was pretty damn sure it would cost him a months worth of his pay just to have a drink.

"Y-y-yes- I mean, wee!" He stammered out a reply, and the waiter looked at him, cleanly unimpressed with this awkward and stammering tourist as he poured both him and Solia a glass.

The waited looked at her, a pleasant smile adoring his face as he realized his job just became that much easier.. Bien sûr, mademoiselle. un moment.. Making sure to give her a little less, he walked off to retrieve the requested item.

Jason looked at Solia with a hint of surprise, the last time he had heard her speak French was when he, er...tripped over her. But this was quickly changed to a look of gratitude. In all his panic he had never thought to ask for a English menu (though he wouldn't have been to anyway because since he couldn't speak the language).

"Ah, Oui, then" He was clearly embarrassed, but he found himself chuckling as well. It wasn't hard to when his crush was making such a happy face like that. It made everything he had do so far all worth it.

When asked if he would like a lesson, he nodded enthusiastically, not catching the hidden subtext. "That would be great!". He then looked up as the waiter had returned, placing the menu in front of him. "Ici, vous êtes monsieur".

"merci" He replied to the waiter, at least knowing that much.

"That would be very helpful." Jason thought about knowing a second language. It was a very interesting idea indeed. His mind drawn back to the menu, he sighed. "Grilled chicken breast with honey musted glaze sounds pretty good...hmmm" He still needed a Entrée. "The goat cheese tart looks interesting..."

He looked up to see she was blushing and focusing on the menu. "I...can't remember the last time I had anything off the island either."

Jason replied with a sincere smile. "Of course not. You can order anything you want, you don't need to worry about the cost."


'She wont, and even if she does I wont mind' It wasn't as if he'd starve without any money.

He wasn't sure what the waiter meant by the wave. (Again, it could be a French thing), But he began to write down what they wanted, also adding in his choice of desert (A traditional vanilla creme brulle, because why not?)

"S-sure" Jason said, though he soon began looking at the waiter with a rather confused look. It seemed that he felt more inclined to talk to Solia then to him.

Which, as he thought about it, was quite understandable. Considering she could speak the language and he couldn't.



Jason sighed. Zanth had been very compliant up until now, and he hoped he wasn't going to ruin the occasion.

The fallen angel huffed.

"Umm, goat cheese tart , Grilled chicken breast with honey musted glaze, and a vanilla creme brulle" He repeated to Solia.

And now it was time for Jason took look forever the awkward one as the two converged in French. Zanth was still trying to suggest the waiter was flirting with her, but he wasn't about to believe that...well, not really. Because waiters didn't do that kind of thing, right?

The blushing on her cheeks however, had him just a little worried.


'I'm not about to start a scene in a restaurant just because they're having a conversation.' Hell, Solia might be feeling homesick for all he knew. He was not going to act the jealous boyfriend. Nope.

"O-oh, y-yeah, he does." But he was gonna act the awkward boyfriend for sure.

'So?"


With a forlorn sigh, he watched as the waiter had kindly given them some bread rolls. They looked rather delicious as well. "Yeah, that was." He replied before picking one up for himself. "Ah, thankyou"

As he buttered one up and tasted it, he nodded in satisfaction. "These are good!"
