xxxxxxxx.xxxPerounelle Alliynnor Syhbblxxxxxxxxx❝ Cherish the friend who tells you a harsh truth, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx wanting ten times more to tell you a loving lie ❞"But is it something you, yourself would like to do?" Perounelle tightened her lip. "I don't enjoy killing people. That's not why i'm a knight. I enjoy protecting people. Adoven, I doubt you enjoy killing others, whether it be you do it purposely or not." Perounelle leaned back and gave a sigh, wishing he would meet her soft eyes with the ones he had before, the ones full of mirth.
"Whether you are best or not is not the question. Maybe I wouldn't have a problem with it if it was." She took a deep breathe and mumbled, "Waiting and forgiving hurts....But not knowing which decision to make can be the most painful as well. I know, Adoven. Take respnsobility for your bad decisions and let them go! Don't bring yourself down because of them." She crossed her arms and huffed lowly. "Get that look of your face, Adoven." Perounelle said in a soft tone, still un-accusing. She eyed him cautiously, her hand reaching out to touch him before she stopped. "I wish everyone could look back on their bad decisions and make them right. I wish I could turn back the hands of time to do that for every living creature. But that doesn't mean you can't learn from the bad decisions." Perounelle bit her lip and then leaned back against the counter, finally saying, "But i'm not telling you you need to change your lifestyle. The way people live...It's different for everyone. I...I don't..." She paused, trying to find the right words, her eyebrows furrowing slightly. "I don't think I'll feel, or ever felt what you feel, Adoven. But I'm certain I can at least feel empathy for you, which leads me to think that you aren't a lost cause. You're not a murderer, you're a good person. Bad decisions or not." Perounelle let her hand fall, putting it properly in her lap as she tried hard to stare Adoven down so she could meet those now sad eyes of his.

xxxxxxxx.xxxPerounelle Alliynnor Syhbblxxxxxxxxx❝ Cherish the friend who tells you a harsh truth, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx wanting ten times more to tell you a loving lie ❞Perounelle bloushed slightly when he called her wise, and she tightened her lip dramatically, her cheeks still slighlty aflame. 'Yes. Thank you. It comes with being in my position." She watched in mild surprise as Adoven rolled his sleeve up, exposing his bare wrist to her. She raised an eyebrow as he asked her to feel his pulse. Perounelle hesitated, not because of the strangeness, but because it was Adoven.
First of all, Perounelle almost wanted to put her two-sense into the situation, that the wrist is not the proper way of finding your pulse, mainly because when people take it from the wrist, not only do they get the normal heartbeat, but they could get a similar one from the thumb. The neck was so much better, but Perounelle was not about to reach over and loom into Adoven's face in a bar at three o'clock in the morning.
She carefully leaned forward and placed two fingers on his wrist, her lip tight, feeling for a pulse. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly when she couldn't find a a pulse, and she gripped his arm a bit more tightly, trying to get the pulse. With no luck, she pursed her lips and reached over, her gloved hand resting ever so gently on his neck, feeling for a pulse, her bright bluish-green eyes flashing with surprise when she couldn't find anything. "I can't find your pulse, what's this about?" Perounelle pulled back and crossed her arms, then shook her head at the words Adoven then said after he requested she find his pulse.
"Have you ever heard this saying, Adoven? 'Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. But today? Today is a gift, and that is why they call it the present.' "
Perounelle paused once she said that, and looked him in the eyes, uncrossing her arms. "Our pasts are everything we failed to be. It's being here now that's important. Yes, I know that your past will always be your past. Even if you forget it, it always remembers you. But sooner or later, we've all got to let go of our past, Adoven. Let me tell you something else that's wise, dearest,"
Perounelle leaned in a little closer, her eyes having a certain gleam in them. "You may think the past has something to tell you. You may think that you should listen, should strain to make out its whispers, should bend over backward, stoop down low to hear its voice breathed up from the ground, from the dead places. You may think there’s something in it for you, something to understand or make sense of. But I know the truth: I know from the nights of coldness. I know the past will drag you backward and down, have you snatching at whispers of wind and the gibberish of trees rubbing together, trying to decipher some code, trying to piece together what was broken. It’s hopeless. The past is nothing but a weight. It will build inside of you like a stone. Take it from me, If you hear the past speaking to you, feel it tugging at your back and running its fingers up your spine, the best thing to do - the only thing - is move on. Besides," Perounelle relaxed her features to smile shyly. "It's much more fun to think about the future than dwell on the past." She winked and pat his head, leaning back in her seat to pour her glass of wine and sip at it.

Adoven Dawntraker ------------------------------------- ~~~Death turned to life and said~~~
-------------------------------------“That’s because I don’t have a heart…” He said quietly. “That blue elixir you saw me place in my drink, it keeps me alive.” He said, leaning back in his chair.” I am the heartless man, bound by my word to the one who stole it.” He said, his tone soft, almost bitter.
“They way you speak, my wise queen, is easier said then done…” He said with, almost, a sad smile.” I’v lived a long time, my dear, a very ling time, people come and go, babes are borne and people die, but this one mistake, this one…problem I live with, has yet to vanish.” He added, rolling his sleeve back down.” I take your words to heart, learning to let go…and letting go, are to very different things, and I will not be able to let go…until I correct my mistake, and take back my dying heart from the man who stole... took it.., but, holding onto the past dose not mean that I do not think of the future.” He added his tone a bit lighter now.” In fact I dwell on the future quite often.” ------------------------------------- ~~~Because you are a beautiful lie... xxxxxxxx.xxxPerounelle Alliynnor Syhbblxxxxxxxxx❝ Cherish the friend who tells you a harsh truth, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx wanting ten times more to tell you a loving lie ❞"Oh your dear lost soul." Perounelle said with a sigh hearing his words, her eyes on his chest, looking sad, and simply...unhappy. She opened her mouth several times, trying to find words that weren't there. Perounelle was just speechless. She didn't know what to say at this point. Maybe you needed to unsert another coin into the wisdom box, she didn't know. But with this sudden information, she didn't know how to further help him. No heart....What was she supposed to say? What did he want her to say? Perounelle let out another huff, bringing her eyes up to meet Adoven's. "That may be true..." She started, trying to find words that simply were not going to come out. She chewed her lip softly, and said, "I haven't lived as long as you. Obviously. I'm only 21. I'm still learning. But you..."[ Perounelle paused, and leaned in a little closer, her eyes becoming even more soft with the passing moments. "You've had so much more time to experience things. I'm only saying the things I assume, and I see now that it's a lot more than words. I don't know how you're feeling, Adoven. I apologize, but I don't think I ever will. I'd like to help, but just what am I supposed to do? I can't..." She didn't know how to finish. How else what she supposed to? "I can't....I thought I could feel empathy. But all I can do is feel and show sympathy. What do you want me to do?"
Perounelle's face tightened at her last question, leaning back at little to look him sternly in the eye, wondering the true answers to what she was asking him.

-------------------------------------"You listened, and tried to understand, that is more then enough."He said with a small laugh."And though you haven't lived as many years as i, you defiantly have wisdom about you, besides, my people would laugh and call me a child, 335 is at least 35 by human standards."He said, a small smile spreading a crossed his features, finally,. He was trying to lighten the mood now, as best he could at least, no more of this depressing talk, he gets enough of that from his job.------------------------------------- ~~~Because you are a beautiful lie... She set contently back into her seat, sipped at her wine, and then let out a quite unladlylike snort to his words that left the bartender gaping. "And yet, you had the nerve to call me 'miss'?" Perounelle rolled her eyes and then said, "And that's when you're like...Kept in the forest, with the energy and stuff! Elves who are industrialized don't live nearly that long, they aren't in their element." She dropped her look for a moment, her eyes taking on an amused expression before she added, "I'm drinking wine with a 335 year old dark elf mage who is even supposed to be my enemy. I'm worried because this is the highlight of my day." She shrugged and took another sip of her wine, stopping for a moment, the strong taste of it coming back to her since it had been at least 5 - 10 minutes since she had drank it, therefore the flavour leaving her mouth and taste buds.

xxxxxxxx.xxxPerounelle Alliynnor Syhbblxxxxxxxxx❝ Cherish the friend who tells you a harsh truth, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx wanting ten times more to tell you a loving lie ❞Perounelle breathed out through her nostrils, listening to Adoven's words and choosing not to answer at the very moment. She closed her eyes briefly and looked up at the ceiling, her eyelids slowly fluttering open as he bluish green eyes stared at an invisible spot on the ceiling, simply to stare. So this was Adoven Dawntracker. The elven man who killed for his job. Who understood much more than any other commoner could ever understand about what she did....And life in general. And lived every single day of his quaint little life with no heart. She could get used to him, heartless or not. He was kind, and she could trust him, Perounelle knew that much.
She tilted her head slightly, letting her hair fall to the side lifelessly before she "hmphed" in slight amusement to his words, finally acknowledging them. "The elven race is a bit foreign to me." She pursed her lips after she finished, then looked at him blankly once he told her he was glad he didn't ruin her day. "We all have long days....Honestly, sometimes I feel like my life is just one, long, long day..." Perounelle huffed and ran a hand through her blonde hair, her gaze traveling back to Adoven.
She vaguely contemplated what to do at that point, shuffling in her seat, now staring down at her wine glass, swirling the dark liquid around in her glass absentmindedly. She couldn't quite pinpoint a topic for them to talk about, and really, really couldn't think of anything. She didn't want to seem completely random and just ask him a question out of the blue....But she also supposed that she needed something to carry the conversation along. "So, what do you do in your spare time...Besides, well, your job, and, hang out in this wonderful pub."

"I am the darkest star at the stroke of midnight," "Piano" "I'll make it fair." Raphael was rather tall, and Piano, rather short. So it'd only been customary for Piano to assume the part of his little sister, in which, they'd had great success at. Especially so considering they truly did consider themselves siblings, both be stars, although for two very different things. Raphael glanced worriedly at his little sister which had hopped onto his back. She had been running a very high fever for a few days now, so high that she'd been singing her clothing before making a wish for her clothing to be more resistant, which had landed him a few missing fingers, but they were growing back rather quickly. He had been feeling rather lucky since they were, but that feeling was always quickly diminished when he saw his little sister so ill. He knew what was happening, which meant he'd have to do something about it. Usually a star's age could be renewed automatically if they still wished to be there, but now that they were down here... Raphael wasn't sure, so it left him rather nervous.
Piano was feeling rather ill, she felt hot and achy, like she was going to explode. She leaned her head against her Brother's feathery blond hair, sneezing just as he gestured for her to get off. She let her tense muscles release themselves from holding on to him, sliding down and hitting the ground with a yawn. A pub? She thought, just now realizing where they were. She pushed back a few strands of her dark brown hair, her red eyes glancing towards the selection of alchohal. Yes.. She probably use some. It may sound odd, giving liquid fire to an already almost on fire girl, but Piano had yet to catch fire and she even felt better after drinking some. She didn't want anything too strong.. The dark star tugged on Raphael's jacket, leaning upwards towards his ear and whispering. He smiled kindly at her and nodded. He walked up to the bar and ordered a light rum, or well watered down rum, same difference. Raphael helped his sister into a seat, in turn taking a place beside her. "Feeling any better?" He asked, tilting his head in her direction, concern in his eyes.

What did she do, anyway? It was strange, how when you're asked a question on the spot, you completely forget the answer, when it's so simple. She took a sip of her wine, still briefly cogitating her answer when two people came into the Pub. She glanced at them from the corner of her eye, said eyes unreadable, face blank, before she returned her gaze to Adoven. "I suppose I read in my time as well....If you consider paperwork and treaties reading." She shrugged, but then said, "This might sound a bit pathetic of me, but I often find myself training in my free time, or praying. I don't have very much free time to start off with. However..." Perounelle paused, her lips coming up in what could be a tiny, shy, smile. "During nights, I do enjoy taking walks, and gazing at the moon. It's very calming."
She shrugged, before setting her wine glass down and lacing her gloved fingers together. "I don't suppose you're as religious as I am, nor would you probably share my enthusiasm for the sun and moon, but you never know," Perounelle curled her lips slightly, before turning and tracing the rim of her wine glass with her finger, staring down into the dark liquid, looking calm, and happy.

"Just because I'm not beside you," Raphael"Doesn't mean I'm not at arms length." Raphael took the cup of rum and held it to her lips, Piano taking a sip gratefully before snapping at him. "I'm not that weak." She grumbled, pulling her arms tightly together in a cross. She huffed, leaning back against the far, her dark brown hair a bit frizzled. Raphael gently pushed it back a little, and Piano didn't seem to time. Trying to distract herself from the heat, she tried to remember the last time someone had wished on her. It had been a few weeks ago, against a man who'd been stealing money from a poor family's account. The family was left on the street, and their youngest child had sought vengance on him. The child was of course avenged, all for the cost of her dolly which she'd 'lost' while playing in the river, the currently sweeping it away with muddy tides. Piano reached into her pocket, pulling out the small doll. It was made out of animal hide and it's face was stitched in. Despite how disturbing it's appearance may sound, it was rather cute actually. Made perfectly by the child's mother.
Knocking Piano out of her gaze, Raphael held up the cup again, urging her to take a sip. Irritated, Piano almost refused, and would have it she hadn't needed it at that moment. She took a gulp before taking the glass from him, finishing it. She gestured for the man to refill, which he did after Raphael paid once more. Raphael always had the money, being a master gambler. It wasn't really a hobby as much as job, and one way or another, Raphael always got his money. They could've went and had a new house built, but they preferred their little cottage. It was nice, run down, but cozy. Raphael smiled faintly at the memory of it, but the smile was quickly washed away with worry once more as he glanced at his sister.

xxxxxxxx.xxxPerounelle Alliynnor Syhbblxxxxxxxxx❝ Cherish the friend who tells you a harsh truth, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx wanting ten times more to tell you a loving lie ❞Perounelle raised an eyebrow at the way he regarded her taking walks. He sounded....Distracted. And this was not like Adoven at all. He was usually very focused on the things she said, and at this moment, he had his attention somewhere else. Perounelle looked back to see the two people who had previously came in, the older looking to give the younger a sip. Perounelle's eyes lightened at the tender sight, and she looked back at Adoven, catching what he said, her eyes lightening even more. "Yes, I see. "
She paused and looked down at her wine, suddenly not craving it for this moment. Perounelle set it to the side, and leaned back slightly in her chair, relaxing. She then said, "Well, Doctor Dawntraker. What's the diagnosis?" Perounelle propped her head on her hand and looked at him with bored eyes, then simply added, "Are you worried?" Perounelle paused and then added, "If you are...I'm glad." Her lips twitched slightly into her version of a smile, her finger going back to trace the rim of the glass.
