Could he say that was the one thing he enjoyed more than anything? When he was able to fly he could forget all his troubles and just be himself. Eventually he nodded. "Yes I like to fly, it is the only thing that I haven't lost." He looked down for a moment playing with the large black ring on his middle finger. That was all he had left of his parents he didn't remember what they looked like or how they had been he just remembered a hand holding his and the ring slipping into his tiny palm as his house collapsed forcing him to flee as his family died.

"What are you going to do with me... It's clear you don't want me here, you should just let me go."

"I wouldn't have been set free by that man. He boasted he could tame me as if I were some animal. I have no wish to be paraded around like some prized pet. No what I want was taken from me a long time ago, I can never forget it either the scars won't go away evenif they are beneath the skin." He was referring to his white feathers. He had been hurt during the fire but because of his age his wounds healed without much scaring. Yes the skin was a bit of a different color and was sensitive to heat but most would think nothing of it but an odd birthmark.

"why are you sorry? You didn't set the fire." His eyes widened as he let slip something he never planned on saying to anyone.

"I was five. Someone from my clan became jealous of my father's position and wanted to vet rid of him and me. They set fire to the house during the night while we were sleeping. The house was ablaze quickly and my family was separated. My mother was trapped in my sister's room and my father was with me until he thought incould get out on my own. He went to help them when one of the beams fell trapping him under it. I tried to help but I was so small I couldn't do anything. They all died that night and I would have as well. I don't remember how I got out of the house but I woke up next to the ashes my father's ring clutched in my hand. When the village realized what happened I was cast out no one wanted to take me for fear they would have an accident happen to them as well. It didn't take me long to learn that I could only trust myself."

He let out a small sigh not sure why he had told Alister about his past but he felt a bit better now. "Two years ago I was cornered by a street gang and they decided to show why they were better. I woke up a few days later in a cage." He now knew what had happened before he became a slave, but he wouldn't say what he went through during those years before he ended up here. "I saw you looking at my wing, it is a result of the fire, I had been burned it seemed but most of the damage was, is under the skin."

"That might be true but it doesn't stop people from trying to be better." He looked away from the man then before speaking again. "Why did you take me in anyways. You could have said no. You don't know me and you don't owe me anything. When I was brought back by the guards you could have said you didn't know me, so what do you really want? I heard the conversation with that boy, he is younger then I am and your interested. I am not your type that way so really there is no use for me here."

Raven clung to Alister shaking as the last of the nightmare faded away. "I... Dreamt of the night my parents died, I have not had that dream for a long time. It must be because I told you... Your the only person who knows about it." He said softly letting Alister know just how much he had opened up to him. When he calmed enough he let the man go and looked away. "I am sorry for my behavior and waking you."

Why was he being so... Nice? He had never trusted anyone before nor had he let anyone close to him let alone to touch and hold him close. Perhaps he was just tired of being alone and being closed off from everyone. "When is Misa coming over? I will stay out of your way while he is around it wouldn't be fair to ruin your day or chances with him." He said softly. Was he jealous of a boy he had never met? He didn't know but it seemed that Misa had someone that loved him and now Raven was wanting to be loved or at least to feel love from someone if only for a moment.

Raven didn't fight being carried to the guest room and curled up in the bed when he was put down on it. "It's alright, you don need to do anything like that it was just a dream it can't hurt me." He didn't look at Alister at all not knowing how to behave just then. He was confused and uncertain and he felt vulnerable which he didn't like.

Eventually he closed his eyes and fell asleep not having any other incidents until morning when he heard a knock on the door. Misa must have come over. The thought alone put him in a bad mood and he wasn't sure why. It wasn't like he liked Alister or anything.... Right?

As the cute boy came in Raven shifted to his bird form and remained in the room watching the two of them. The more time Misa spent the more Raven had this unknown feeling inside of him before he lost all control and flew at him. He didn't actually hurt the boy but he planned on scaring him flapping his wings around his head and crowing. When the other ran out of the house ravens followed him until he was far enough away to not come back. At this point Raven was human once again and feeling pretty good. "What a scardy cat." He wasn't sure why he had done that but he had a feeling Misa wouldn't be coming back and he was happy about it.
