Basket Name: Sibyl (Prophetess; Knowledge)

Temper: Intuitive

Personality: Sibyl is anything but shy, however she is more of the sort to be lost in the stars. She can hold a good conversation, however distractions do catch her eyes more times then none. What catches this young mare's fluttery attention is the chance at new knowledge. Give her a riddle to answer, new information on birds or even just small tidbits on interesting news; this mare's daydreaming will be left behind. Sibyl is nothing short of information; with an eidetic memory she remembers exactly who and what told her about this and that. She also remembers who does her wrong; however she is slow to judging others and quick to make friends out of people.
When she isn't talking, or daydreaming Sibyl's usually left within herself to think. She's a little bit of an introvert. Not to be assumed in the least bit Sibyl is antisocial.

When not acquiring new information Sibyl is seen usually laying close to her mother and zoning out alongside her. Their personal time together is spent mostly just staring off into space in peace. However once in awhile a butterfly will land and Sibyl will speak about her knowledge. Her father Laures is her hero. She has no dislike in either of her parents; both are beautiful souls and she'd never change them for the world.
To her siblings she has grown to be a beacon of information. She's somewhat of the brains behind the group. Her sister and brother balance her and both give her their thoughts on things she is questioning. When it comes to Linaiha she enjoys the conversations of knowledge that she can hold with Linaiha. Coming from a place outside of Kawani lands intrigues the younger sister.

Plot Ideas:
- I would LOVE to see Sibyl have many conversations with her family and new friends. She's not someone who'll keep information to herself. Though an introvert; Sibyl's someone who can be made a friend very easily. As long as you feed her information.
For the "Plot" Above I already want her to meet my boy Peska in an SRP. Peska's a rather smart boy but suffers from a very strong dose of ADD. I would love to see how their characters react to one another. Especially since Peska's also a mutant; a dog tail would intrigue Sibyl tremendously. I'd also love her to meet Peska's grandfather Monfulta(Moofu) as he drips shadows.

- I would LOVE her to meet Mutants. Mutants would inspire her to learn about each one! There's so much information she could grab from them.

- If Linaiha ever needed someone to just talk too to help with decisions Sibyl would be there for her halfsister. I could see her building a good relationship with her oldest sibling. The introvert in her would balance out the shy qualities in Linaiha. I am personally an introvert and I have always attracted shy people to befriend me.

- In the end I would love her to acquire a heavy fond bond with one male. I wouldn't want to fling her out unless there was a HUGE want from me to fling her. Or someone sparked her curiousity. However I could see her getting with a scholarly stallion.

- I would love to see her adopting some bbies, a big family is in her heart even if she is an introvert. She'd even probably adopt in some Usidias. She rather enjoys the smaller breeds.

Prompt Choice: 4

Prompt Entry: (I'm guessing they're still littleun's here)
Her father had gone off with her older half sister to talk. Sibyl wasn't one to get jealous really. Especially of her siblings. But once in awhile she got jealous over her father's abilities to talk about another world and life away from this small family herd that Sibyl had wanted information on. But that was for another time, another day. Sibyl got over it quickly as her mother came up to her and buckled into a laying position beside her.
As a mother should be to her young filly, Sibyl considered her mother the most beautiful mare in all of the Kawani lands. She smelt of fresh flowers every day and sparkled like stars on a soft dusky-scenery.

As she buckled beside her, Sibyl gave a playful and kind nose to her mother's neck. Leaning against her mother her small frame eased to the smell of flowers. She watched as her brother and sister grazed ahead of them. But it was rare to just be able to sit with her mother even if it was time to daydream it out with the knowledge she had recently obtained. Sibyl had no problems with the bondings Linaiha had with her father. As she felt like it was just normal for a father to have a different bond with each of his children. When her mother stirred a bit against her Sibyl's ear flicked forward. Instead of worrying or having that capability to contemplate what kind of amazing stories her father and half sister were talking about her mother hummed calmly. A questioning sing-song of a tone. Soft, "Sibyl.." Her mother would take a small stab at getting her daughter's attention even though she had, had the young filly's attention at the hum. "What kind of bird is that?" Her mother's head had been filled with a daydream. One unknown to her middle child.

Sibyl knew her mother very well, knew she was rather intelligent and kind of caught on that she asked her daughter in a somewhat spite of it. Hearing Sibyl talk to her about the bird would just be a way to do something. But it didn't bother Sibyl anything. Bailey asking her anything sparked an interest and amused them both. It was always nice to hear the questions. Looking briefly though at the bird Sibyl would grin at her known facts about it. The little bird sat in the tree preening a nest for a possible future hutch of eggs. "That would be a Magpie!" She'd say enthusiastically. "They enjoy shiny objects.. They tend to pick them and put them in their nests over time. " Sibyl was used to her mother asking and then losing attention. But her mother tilted her head in contemplation.
Sibyl coo'd a little about this reaction and she grinned. "How about we go and look at birds or butterflies and if you want information I can give you it!? Or we can think up stories to tell before bed?" With this suggestion Bailey himmed and hawed but the two got up and with the other two youngin's moved around their little family herd home place and talked about birds and such and such.

Username: Roserain

Basket Name: Fáelan (I tried to find a name that fit the feel of the rest of the family. It's Celtic, derived from fael - "little wolf" <3 )

Temper: Introspective

Personality: Loved and wanted, it's hard to complain about her family or home life. Nothing's really wrong. However, Fae doesn't always feel quite right either. Surrounded by such pronounced personalities and being neither the youngest or oldest she has a tendency to fade a little into the background. Oh, it's not like she's completely forgotten. It's not that. More like she can just almost hear music and is more intrigued with that than what's going on in front of her. She knows she should be searching for something, or there's more out there, she's just not sure what it is yet.

Faelan is curious in a quiet way, more likely to watch and observe something for an hour rather than go prod it with a hoof and see what it does. She has an aptitude for questions and has a sharp mind, though what she chooses to focus on doesn't always make the most sense. Calm almost to the point of being irritating, it's a common occurrence for Gael to try and tease her to get her to react and Fae trying desperately to remain stoic. It's an awesome win for him if he can get her to complain or act out in response.

She also might irritate her little sister with her distracted behavior. Though perhaps not always taken with daydreaming, Fae will definitely be more interested in what goes on inside a person than what's going on around her. Curious as to why someone says or does as they do, and might speculate on that for hours.

She loves stories and listening to tales either made up or real and is imaginative to make up some on her own. Fae can also be quite stubborn when she puts her mind to it as well, if she takes notion that something is true than that's that for her. It's absolutely true without a shadow of a doubt and don't try to tell her otherwise. She might choose to right-out ignore you, but push that button enough and the calm will slip and she'll get defensive and even angry.

----------------

As an adult I'd be curious to see which traits get cultivated and matures. I can see her being whimsical and perhaps even mischievous; or maybe she'll be very quiet and withdrawn.

Or perhaps in an effort to stand out she'll start to push away more and develop in ways I can't even foresee! xD Any way she grows, I hope to make her interesting and dynamic, even if it's more of a quiet and subtle thing.

Plot Ideas:

Too Far - I'd be curious to see Faelan get teased or pressed out of her comfort zone and become overly emotional. It could be Gael pressing her until she can't remain calm, or maybe a moment of blind panic or fear. I'd like to see her mental processes at work, going through the change in emotions and helping me figure out where her lines are and how she reacts.

Flights of Fancy - I think it would be fun for her to sit down with someone and go back and forth weaving an imaginary story together. Sort of like those games in writing class where someone writes a sentence and then the next person writes one and so on. I think it would be a good bonding thing for her and would be light-hearted rp.

Welcome to the 'real' world - I can see Fae getting a little older and someone outside of the family really confronting her and pushing her buttons. Maybe someone that didn't have such a great home life that kind of takes a bit of the gloss and sparkle out of her vision of reality. She would have no real concept of hardship herself and a dose of something more dark could really shake her but also help her grow.

Who Am I? - Being more introverted, Fae will probably get to a point where she questions what her purpose is. Where she fits in. What it all means. Some people sort of just walk through life and it hits them one day, and some sit and wonder about it and never find out. I think Fae would wonder about it and then charge headlong into trying to figure out what she's supposed to be doing. This could go many ways. She could get lost, or hurt, or it could be a bad experience. It could also be a good one, or even a reoccurring theme for her where this is an on-going process covering several RPs.

Prompt Choice: The 1st

Prompt Entry:

She was ready to go home now.

Fae's ear twitched as she peered out the mouth of the cave for the umpteenth time. Suddenly it wasn't a fun new world to explore greeting her eyes. An unknown forest glared back at her, dark and fathomless. She shied away from the thought and the entrance and backed up further into the dank dark. The happy illusion that had blanketed everything in her adrenaline and joy after another good story was abandoning her; leaving Fae with only the real world where she wasn't some brave mare off to save a herd or some lost foal.

In fact the roles had suddenly reversed, and the uncomfortable realization that she was now the one in need of rescue made her eyes grow large as she tossed her head and whinnied. She really thought they were right behind her. It had been a rare burst of emotion from her, but she just felt so energized after such a good ending to Lina's tale that she had leapt right over Gael and had gone dashing off to do daring deeds, acting out the best parts of the story for the squirrels and trampling the leaves under hoof. And look where that got her.

Shifting her weight nervously, she looked around and craned her neck to examine the cave, really seeing it for the first time. In the gloom there wasn't much to make out and she wasn't sure if that made her feel better or worse. Circling now, she turned her head back to peer outside, wondering if she could find her way back... but every tree looked the same to her. every patch of grass and group of stones looked like maybe they were the ones she passed earlier or pranced about when she wore the mask of a heroine in her mind. What if she wandered out and never made her way back? Got even further away somehow, and never saw home again?

Ears flattening against the thought, she turned away and went back to pacing. What if no one ever came for her? Were they even looking? Would she starve? They noticed she was gone, right?

A flick of her tail and she made another loop, her hooves clacking against rock and grating on pebbles mingled with the dried leaves and foliage littering the floor. Fae stopped suddenly and stood stock-still. Would the sound of her hooves carry and get the attention of something bad? Nothing would come eat her, right?

The sound of leaves rustling, as if summoned by her dark thoughts, made her head snap towards the forest. She couldn't see anything... but that didn't mean she was safe. Backing away slowly and hunching up into herself, Fae pressed herself against the back of the cave; stone cold and clammy against her short fur. Shadows of thoughts chased each other through her mind, nothing really clear or easily grasped, just senses of dread and half-imagined nightmares.

A twig snapped and she held her breath. That sounded closer. What should she do? What if she ran? Where would she go? And there was the voice at the back of her mind mocking her, comparing the scared foal and fool that she was with the daring do-gooder she had pretended to be not long ago. Fae took a deep breath and tried to stay calm, but her heart raced and her mouth felt dry as she took a shaky step forward. She could just see something moving out there, big and bulkier than herself.

"Faelan?! Faeeeee!"

Ears perking up and facing forward now, did she hear that right? Was that...? Another hoof beat and she drew a little nearer to the mouth of the cave, listening harder. ...It was! IT WAS! Her heart soared as she scrambled, dashing out into the fading light of the afternoon.

"I'm here! I'm here Lina!"

And all felt right in the world again.

Basket Name: Schön (beautiful, nice, good, lovely, pretty, splendid)

Temper: innocent

Personality: Schön is a mixture of shy and outgoing, keeping her in the middle of things. She enjoys carrying a bright smile wherever she goes, trying to befriend as much as possible. She absolutely loves stories, whether love, sorrow, or anything else. She will listen with patience and interest, though she will sometimes interrupt to add her share of commentary. A lively one this one is, sometimes not even knowing the difference of reality and fantasy due to all the stories she's been told. This will often lead her into trouble, but she is able to sweet talk her way around most things.

Plot Ideas:
I would like for Schön to eventually leave the family herd and wander the lands, listening to as much stories as possible. She will travel with the various storytellers for the majority of her teenaged years, becoming much of a nomad. Once she reaches the time to settle down, she will return to her family, though she will still often visit if her travels lead her back home.

Schön should raise an orphan (whether soq or familiar) or more during her travels. This would help her interact with those who she encounters, talking about raising youth and other things that deal with the young and letting go. Those she raises will remain by her side until they feel like leaving, but they do leave her, she will want them to keep in touch at times.

Schön will meet a less pleasant Soq and she will try to sweet talk her way out, but nothing works. She is left crying, wanting to return home, but then she gets lost and runs into a stallion whom she pleads to keep her in his care. Whether this stallion is good or bad, he will be the father of Schön's first batch of foals. It will be up to the owner of the stallion to decide if he will travel back to Schön's homeland with her or not.

With the patience and care that she has learned from the orphans prior, Schön turns out to be a decent mother once again. She loves telling her young stories just like those she was once told. Eventually once the foals are old enough to travel the large distance, they head off to the glen.

Prompt Choice: Prompt 1: Big sister Linaiha has returned to the glen for a visit. She has decided to take you and your other siblings for the day to give mama and papa some time to themselves. While not quite as good a storyteller as papa, she decides to regale you with tales of adventure. There is a cave nearby and you get the bright idea to go explore it, but there is an accident and you get separated from Linaiha and the others. Are you frightened? Are you excited? How do you find your way back? Or do you stay in one place and wait for your siblings to come and find you?

Prompt Entry:
A story! Schön craned her neck forth, trying to fight the necks of Gaël and Lynnesse, trying to hear the story that was being said. The young filly loved stories after all. Silently fighting her way to a better hearing "spot", she watched as Linaiha spoke, observing her mouth, eyes, and body gestures, taking notice of every breath, pause, and anything else that seemed to distract her from listening as carefully as she should. It was just that, her half-sister hardly visited, but she did have a charming tale to tell. The main thing Schön recalled was "cave" and "adventure". Nose quivering with excitement, she thought that another Soquili would be in the caves, wanting to tell her another story, and so she ran off when Linaiha told the three foals that they would take a break and have a snack.

Wow! Who will I meet there? she thought, clumsy of her footing, falling to a black hole. Unable to really move around much, the filly hardly panicked, but just laid low, legs buckled under her belly. Head turning around, she thought she saw something. "Hello?" she squeaked. The object moved, closer to her, and she was able to detect eyes. "I'm Schön, daughter of Laures and Bailey." Not like that would really matter. "Don't be afraid. Here, come closer and let me tell you a story." There was no fear in her voice, not even suspecting a chance of her getting hurt. She just wanted to tell a story. Waiting a couple of minutes, the creature hopped forth, wiggling its nose around. A bunny.

"Umm, let's see.." she thought for a moment, trying to think of the perfect story to tell. Her eyes lit bright and smiled large, letting her head spin with creativity. "There was a cave, a cave of adventure and magic. Many do not enter because of the powers within. A sorceress, the soquili with the hood, was said to live in the cave, and she would lure the fillies and colts in with her spells. Little did the little ones know that she was wicked, and even locked her own sister up in the furthest corner of the cave. Screams are heard every night, but only the purest can hear it." she paused, taking a breather.

"One day, the purest of the pure came to the cave, the whitest of all unicorn. He had heard about the mare held captive, and that mare? She was his long lost lifemate, separated when they were young. The sorceress met the stallion, knowing who he was, wanting one thing for her sister to be free. The unicorn agreed, and the wicked mare broke off the powerful alicorn of the stallion. We all know that the alicorn is used for magic, but what if the magic fell into the wrong hands?" she shuddered a bit, realizing that it was startling to get cold. The bunny seemed to understand, and nuzzled beside her.

"Thank you, kind friend. So, the wicked mare let her sister free, but the unicorn was dead. She watched as the two lovers said their departing words and then finished her sister's misery, but her sister knocked the alicorn into the sister's chest. Her love's horn was in her, and she would always live, but always suffer the pain of forever being immortal." Finishing her story, Schön thought she heard voices call her name. Her family was looking for her. "I'm down here!" she called up. Trying to stand, the bunny scurried off, and she knew she made a new friend, and possibly found her life passion.

Basket Name: Jacquima

Temper: Spirited

Personality: Free-spirited and fun – Jacq or Jacqi; is always on an epic adventure, at least in her mind. She would be the sibling to want to play ‘imagine if’ – As an adult, Jacqi will be dreamy and unfocused –but- very sweet.

Plot Ideas: As a foal I want her to have tons of ‘imagine if’ to fully develop her separation from reality, so to speak.

I’m torn, as an adult I could see her being happy being in a ‘fairy-tale world’ /or/ I could see her becoming more active with the family and maturing. So I couldn’t tell you… I want Jacqi to fly by the seat of her pants just like I imagine her doing as a character…
Prompt Choice: 1

Prompt Entry:
Echoes.

Lots of echoes in a long, dark hallway.

Jacqi stood poised some ways down the cave and blinked rapidly to adjust to the sounds, sites, and even the smell of where she was it. A delightful thrill of dear ran up her spine. She had been with the group just a minute ago, then she had seen the cave and it had been just too fascinating to leave alone. The petite filly couldn’t hear any other voices and while that probably should bother her; it didn’t. The thrill from just a moment ago had set the wheels spinning rapidly.

There she was. A great adventurer, separated from her group – alone in the wilds of an unknown land. She had only her wits to keep her safe from certain death. Whipping her tiny tail back and forth, Jac pranced from left to right, dodging – in her mind a vicious creature.

“Ha! Take that cave-dwelling mongrel!” She couldn’t believe how fun this was. A-ha! A light! Turning towards the direction that she must have come from; Jacqi bolted almost to the entrance, grinding to a hard stop and flicking her little tail back and forth. Alas! The exit had been blocked by the cave’s leader. A fearsome creature with 600 teeth and blood-thirsty to boot! Most other would be afraid, but not Jac. Jac the Mighty Adventurer wouldn’t be scared off!

“Come after me!” Bouncing from left to right yet again, Jacqi yelled at the monster only she could see – clear as day. The battle was on! Dodging blows! Volleying to attack! Retreating only to attack harder!

Finally! Jac the Mighty gave a final blow and Jacqi found herself tumbling head over hoof out of the cave. Blinking repeatedly, the filly’s eyes adjusted to the light and she listened carefully – hearing the sounds of her siblings probably not too far away – The Mighty Jacqi stood, dusted herself off, and bolted off in the direction she thought they were – until the next adventure started.

Basket Name: Lorelei

Temper: Pleasant

Personality: She sometimes feels ignored as the middle child, so Lorelei will act out, testing boundaries and seeing what she can get away with. However, when it is made clear to her what the boundary is, she does not cross the line again. She is adventurous, always up for trying something new, and not afraid to take a risk.
Lorelei is congenial and very easy to get along with. She has a penchant for talking to Soquili she doesn’t know, as she is always eager to make new acquaintances. She secretly wants to be well-known throughout the land, although she is not sure how she would make that happen.
She is nearly always in a good mood, but not in an obnoxious or overly bubbly way. When bored, Lorelei tends to daydream about her next adventure. Although not necessarily optimistic, she is hopeful about what the future holds in store for her.

Plot Ideas:

Foal plots:
*Lorelei runs into a stranger who is dangerous/imposing/threatening, but she doesn’t realize it until she’s already mid-way into conversation with them. She realizes that not everyone is going to be friendly, and wonders if she will make it out of the encounter unscathed…
---> (This is a potential opportunity for a major event like a kidnapping or something to occur, resulting her escaping, someone rescuing her, or some other major character twist; up for discussion with family members before deciding how major this will or won't be)

Adult plots:
*As a teen, Lorelei realizes that she doesn’t know who she is, and decides she will go on an adventure to find herself. She is not sure how her parents or siblings will react, but as soon as she hits adulthood, she knows she has to go. But just as she knows she needs to leave, she knows that ultimately she will end up back here with her family, where she belongs.

Prompt Choice: Prompt 2: Your older sister is nothing like you or your littermates. Are you curious? Do you ask her about it? Or Laures? Or possibly Bailey?

* If you ask Laures or Linaiha, they will reveal the story of his youth and first family.

* If you ask Bailey she will tell the same but more simplified story and admit she only recently learned about Linahiha when they first met so is still getting to know her herself.

When you hear one or all versions of the story, do you become angry? Or saddened? How do you feel about it? Does it change how you view your family? If so how?

Prompt Entry:Lorelei looked up at Linaiha. She had such pretty wings, and lovely hair, and Lorelei admired her greatly. She glanced at her own hooves, wondering if she could possibly be related to someone so different from herself. She looked a bit gangly, and hated how awkward she sometimes felt as she grew.
“Linaiha…” she said tentatively. She forged on ahead without waiting for an answer, before she lost her nerve. “Are we really related? You are so unlike us and … well, even your colors are different. Not that it’s a bad thing!” she said hurriedly. “I … I guess I’m just wondering if you know why.”
Lorelei listened intently to the response her sister gave, not interrupting and taking in the whole story. She was surprised several times, as she had never been told some of the things Linaiha was saying. Lorelei wondered briefly if it were true, but cast the thought out as she knew Linaiha had no reason to mislead her. More than anything, the history lesson about her father intrigued her, and made her curious to find out more. She made a mental note to ask her father more next time she saw him.
“Wow, how come no one told me about this before?” Lorelei wondered aloud. She looked up intently, studying Linaiha’s face, before breaking out in a huge grin. “So tell me more! Do you have more siblings? What is your mother like? Do you think we’ll ever meet her?” The questions began spilling out of the filly’s mouth as she tried to satisfy her curiosity about this unknown part of her family’s history.

Username:

Basket Name: Somhairle (SO ar leh) means Summer Wanderer (Gaelic)
Temper: Musing (not to be confused with amusing)

Personality:

A bit of dreamer like her mother, Somhairle has always been a bit...rambunctious. Knowing that her older sister is on her own, gives her the idea that she can have big adventures too (even if she's not old enough).

She tries to be good, honestly she does...but she just finds her mind wandering off, and then her feet go with it. Sometimes, her over imagination takes a complete life of it's own. It'll be difficult to get this girl to pay attention exclusively to reality.

Plot Ideas:

I could sit here and write out a bunch of plot ideas, but I'm not going to. I would rather say that I have a few very basic ideas that are easy to carry out. The rest I would rather correspond with family (ie, parents plans, siblings plans) and see where major plots can come together or deviate.

I'm sorry if that sounds like a complete cop-out, I don't mean it to be. Rather, I like working with a family then making too many plans beforehand.

The general idea I have is that I want something to happen that's incredulous and her family (used to her rampant imagination) don't believe her story as being entirely truthful. So she has to learn to stop crying wolf, and to tries to prove what happened.

Prompt Choice: 1.
Prompt Entry:

Somhairle came out of her reverie to discover that she was alone. Her brother nor sisters were anywhere to be found. "Hello?"

She called it out tentatively, but the only reply was the echoes of the walls throwing her voice back to her. No one was there. The shadows on the walls loomed over her, and she found herself seeing things.

Nothing's here. No one's here. I'm alone. I'm alone. She whispered to herself, but the words felt hollow even to herself. She began to tremble.

Hadn't her father gotten lost in a cave before? What had happened to him? She screwed up her face trying to remember. He had hurt his wings badly and couldn't fly for awhile...They'd been torn, she thought that's what he had said.

So somehow he had torn his wings...

Her mind leaped to the obvious conclusion--DRAGONS!

She could feel her heart hammering in her chest, her body trembling as she glanced around. Dragons? There must be dragons here too! Everyone knew that dragons liked to hide in caves and eat flutter wings. They like fey blood, she was sure of it.

The echo of footsteps reached her ears, and she found herself shrinking back into the wall. Dragons were afraid of something...was it gold? No that wasn't it. They were afraid of water?...No...Was it shadows?

Maybe they weren't afraid of anything. Drawing herself up to her full and little height, she waited with bateless breath for the dragon to appear, but when the shadow fell across her it was only Linaiha.

I just wanted to notify you guys that should I win, I'd be happy to rp, just not in Soq itself proper, and I would transfer her over to SfS.

If you feel that this isn't what you want for your family, I completely understand <3

I wanted to do the same as Roserain, and let you know that I'd be willing to RP her still as well. I'd most likely transfer her to SfS if I am able!

I too, completely understand if that is not quite what you wanted for this lovely family <333

I'm on the same page; I would RP her here in Soquili with family but probably would also transfer (if the family transfers) to SfS and play her there more thoroughly.

-hugs- I'm so sorry your RP contest got janked up by all the drama sad

Good luck to whoever that wins smile

Since others are stating their statuses I'll tell you mine.

Currently, I'm staying in Soq. However, if the family leaves I can also move the basket, if I win, with the family.

I'm going to try and ride the rough waves here, and see what happens, though. So if everyone stays I will be here, too. I may not post much in-thread, but I'll be very happy for RP.
