Syn is a skittish hart that is soft spoken and very much a flight risk. He likes to keep a vast amount of distance between himself and other Herla because his companion is not quite a kind as he is. Lucifer, his tail, has a tongue as sharp as his teeth and as silver as moonlight (at least until he loses his temper, at which point he loses control and lashes out blindly). He will do anything to sweet talk you around to his side so that he might devour you or at the very least take a nice bite out of you. Syn is not comfortable conversing with other herla unless they remain at least 100 feet away from him the whole time, which can make this soft spoken herla very difficult to hear. Syn is the type of hart that longs to have friends, but due to his strange physical condition, he will often flee before he is fully able to make any. He never intends to hurt anyone, because that is the last thing he wants to happen to anyone, but often will in an attempt to get away from them before Lucifer can get a bite in.
Syn does most of his traveling during the night when most regular herla are a sleep and spends most of his day resting. Due to his years of running and hiding, he is quite observant and often likes to watch other herla from afar. He spends much of his resting time in a fantasy world that he made up for himself with the herla that he observed for the day, pretending just briefly that they are friends and that he doesn’t have a blood thirsty killer attached at the tailbone.
History
When Syn was just a fawn he would often play with other herla his age, because aside from having a few extras on his body, he was a completely happy and normal herla. His father’s dotted on him, as he was an only fawn, he never got into trouble or fights and he was almost never even picked last for games among his peers. In fact, he was rather well liked. He did not have a terribly large number of friends, but he was more than happy with the ones he had and his best friend as well.
Everything was wonderful until he grew into himself a little bit more and that was when things got a little bit strange for Syn. Like a puppy, the strange appendage on his chest and tail developed, the eye finally opening and it finally began to hear. His tail could speak to him! At first he thought he was going mad, but he wasn’t the only one that heard it, so how could he be? At first the creature seemed harmless, asking questions and absorbing the world, but over time something changed and the creature that had named itself, Lucifer, started to become vile. He would cause Syn’s father’s great distress and make his friends cry until all that remained of his once happy life was his over frazzled parents and his best friend that did her best to put the brute in his place or out of her mind.
For a while it worked, and he continued to enjoy his time with his best friend, but it couldn’t last forever. After a particularly nasty row with the beast, he simply lost his mind and lashed out at the young hind. What happened after that? Syn doesn’t like to speak about it, but he took off running and has been running ever since.
Powers
Syn has a mutated, intelligent tail that has a taste for herla flesh.
Syn has bioluminescent eyes and scales.
They have a shared bond. If Syn feels pain, so does Lucifer and the other way around as well.
Lucifer Specific
• Spit acts as a mild paralyzing agent that lasts only a few minutes.
• Sees through the eyes on Syn's chest.
• Can hear through the extra set of ears that Syn has.
• His tongue is prehensile.

Syn is being posted for his powers and a backstory that might be considered mildly violent. Not to mention that his tail has a taste for Herla flesh, or at least likes to pretend so.
I have no questions about his profile otherwise.
If you would like to leave non-mandatory critique along with mandatory critique, I would be grateful. uou

The back story doesn't bother me, and neither does the appendages, or the abilities.
But the one thing that stands out to me as weird is that the tail didn't start to become aware or active until he grew into it. Because originally I read this as a "The tail didn't develop a mouth or his chest didn't develop an eye until he grew up" and that throws me. Because something that big, to me, would show up a bit sooner?
Especially if it has a real awareness of itself and the world around it? Does that make sense?
Like, this isn't something you have to change, cause mutations are weird. And we're talking about mutation flaws in an apocalyptic future. But I just wanted you to be aware that this is weird for me.
Still approved. Just putting that suggestion out there.

The way it comes off to me is once he was at the beginnings of his yearling hood it became aware, and by the time he was well into his yearling age/beginning his adulthoood it became vicious. This progression makes sense to me, because in our world, when it comes to types of mental illness, the most dangerous symptoms do not manifest until early adulthood.
I would like to see a tad bit more info on the paralyzing agent in Lucifer's saliva. My first impression on this would be that he'd likely have to bite someone, and get the salavia into the bloodstream for it to be effective, as absorbing through the skin would probably take time, and the amount of saliva would likely effect the area that was paralyzed as well.
He's definetly approved, I was just curious about the workings of the saliva.

I thought was pretty much just that; his saliva would work like that, where in order for him to paralyze the whole Herla, he would have to have bite the victim. And I figured that if he got it anywhere else, like if he licked them, it would probably just make that one section of the body paralyzed after several minutes for several minutes. :'3
Would you two like me to edit that into his little powers bio?

The way his saliva works almost reminds me of the toxicity of a komodo dragon's saliva ^w^
It'd probably be a good idea to edit it in. I aboslutely adore this character, he's so interesting :3
