Grumpy titans made her job difficult, she decided. Between footing and general directions....yeah.

"Let me know if that changes!" She was attempting to glare at him, while trying to discern if he was in fact fine. It was hard to tell, though.
She trusted him enough to not die, though. So she focused on the defending part of things again. It was still difficult.

Well, comparing him to the titan, the titan was inevitably doing better, but it's ok, because he's the underdog.
Bad jokes aside, he needed a change in tactics, and so he pulled out the hand torch.
It was time for flaming daggers again.

The creature having steadied, Jake took the opportunity to attack.

Sherry let her gaze shift back to the cord of the stabilizer again. It was a good thing those worked so well, or else things would have been a lot worse. As it was it was hard enough trying to keep Jake from getting any more beat up than he already was.

Keeping Jake safe from harm was like preventing Caelius from murdering someone. It just didn't happen.
At least he kept trying.

Sherry was going to try, though. Because a) it was her job here and b) he was her boyfriend and she liked him not dead.
So she was doing her very best to defend him and keep him alive. But between him and the Titan, well, that was a task easier planned than done. By a lot.

Hopefully her efforts wouldn't be in vain.
He still had the energy to keep going, but he didn't know for how long, and the titan's movement was far from becoming sluggish.
Still, trying was better than doing nothing.
Actually LANDING a hit would be considered trying.
