The clock was striking midnight and the kits shivered under their blankets. They had already been ushered into their bunks for the night but could not stand to close their eyes long enough. Thoughts of ghost girls, haunted houses, and a book dripping in blood kept running through their heads. Finally it was too much for three kits in particular.

They had too much nervous energy to stand staying in their beds, tossing and turning all night. The children, still dressed in their costumes, went bounding out of bed, looking for what or who, we do not know.

I hope they find what they're looking for before the monsters do...
