"It's just not easy, right? Trust me, I understand that, more than I care to admit." Buddingtonite said, not at all thinking ill of her for any of this. There was a time he wanted to leave the Negaverse... fairly recently, from what he recalled, and that plan failed miserably. The burning sensation that came from his starseed and spread to his entire form was a bitter reminder that there was probably no escape for him, and for now, he simply accepted it. He wondered if poor Serpentarius was caught in the same trap as him... and she simply had not found a way to break away.
And her lead in actually succeeded in making him nervous, though he tried not to show it. One might see it in the way he finally diverted his gaze from her springy curled hair and her assets, though, and he considered her question. He considered it long and hard, much more than others might have thought he'd spend on the idea. Then again, others didn't know of his failed attempt.
How best to answer this question, he thought to himself, without condemning himself or the Negaverse. His sensors told him that they were the only ones in the area, and really, how much damage would admitting the truth to her be? What did he have to lose?
"I tried. Once. It didn't end well, and your side apparently wouldn't have me," Buddingtonite admitted, leaning back in his seat and staring straight ahead, focusing his gaze on a single object so that he would not get lost in the memory. "Apparently, your side has high standards, and the Dark Mirror Court will not have me. Or perhaps, deep down in my heart of blackest hearts, I'm meant to be here in the Negaverse. Either way, I tried to jump ship once, and it didn't work out. I have no intention of ever trying again..."

Serpentarius remained quiet as she mulls over everything Buddy said, before she looks down at her lap. Her frown seem to grow as she close her eyes. What if she didn't have any hope, and she was trapped. Shaking her head, she brought her arms up to wrap around her bare waist as she sighs "This war sucks, plain and simple." she knew the feeling of not being wanted, given she was from the Blood Moon Court.
That, and she simply put distance between those she knew and herself.
It was easier that way.
Looking up at Buddy once more, she reached out to brush one of the roses on his attire. It was merely to help her distract herself before she chuckles "If we were on the same side, I have a feeling you would become one of those I try and protect. Your very easy to talk to, I keep forgetting were suppose to be enemies." she grins before she lets her hand slip away from the rose. leaning forward again, she brush at the first layer of her skirt which was torn some.
"Trust me when I say, your heart isn't black. If it was...I would be dead..." she knew it from dealing with a few on that side before. They didn't think twice when they went after her "So maybe you still have good in you, just depends on who you allow to see the good?" she grins before standing. Lifting her arms above her head as she arched her back until it gave a small pop.
Her eyes shifting up towards the night sky as she debates if she done enough as far as patrol. Moving them down to Buddy again, she place her hands behind her back as she lace the fingers together "I should probably get going, the last thing either of us needs is being seen." she meant it as a way to keep him safe. She didn't care if anyone from her side saw her, but she didn't know what would happen if he got seen.
Taking a few steps forward, she leans forward just as she lifts his hat off his head for a brief moment. pressing a kiss to his forehead, she place the cap back on as she steps away. It wasn't meant to be anything more then her being nice. With a small smile, she winks as she turns away "It was a pleasure to meet you Buddy...maybe I will see you again soon?" she pauses as she looks over her shoulder towards him.
He didn't knwo it, but he honestly made her realize that she already made her choice.
Now she just needed to do it.ChibiGingi Yea I suck so badly....I'm sorry...OTL

Such a simple phrase, but complex and deep in its own way, and Buddingtonite could not help but agree with that sentiment entirely. "It does, my dear, it most certainly does..."
In all honesty, he wanted this fighting part to be done, because he was getting tired of all of the personal pot-shots that not only his enemies were throwing at him, but Lady Fortune and life in general. He wanted this war to end, but unfortunately, he saw no end in sight, and he wasn't sure how much more abuse his body to endure from either side. But this kind of an encounter? It was...
Pleasant.
Buddingtonite didn't blush much, though when he did, he imagined it had to be quite a sight to behold. And it was such a strange emotion to him, so much so that he wasn't sure how to cope with it. She went on and on, and Buddingtonite wanted to feel some kind of warmth from her kindness, but it was hard to take in. She claimed to like his company for the moment and that she saw no blackness in his heart, but then again, how much did she know Buddingtonite? Or, rather, how little did she know of Buddingtonite? If she had known of half of the things he had done, would she feel the same?
He figured probably not, so for the sake of enjoying the good, warm and unfamiliar fuzzy feeling within him, he decided to simply accept her compliments with as much dignity as he could muster. "Thank you... I will keep that in mind, should there be another... opportunity."
Would he? Could he? A mystery.
He did rather enjoy her little stretch, though the warm feeling his felt from that was more familiar and natural to him. No, this one certainly wasn't all too bad... though she would have looked far better in black. He blinked once, twice and finally tore his mind back to the present, offering her a polite bob of the head. "That would be a wise decision, my dear. Go along now, and thank you for the company. I seldom enjoy them as I used to, though admittedly that's my own doing. Good evening..."
And then she approached him and he felt paralyzed on the spot, uncertain what she had planned, but any fear he might have been building himself up to was gone when she moved his hat from his head and gave him something that he had not received since he was only a child. A kiss on the forehead. It was... not what he was expecting, and there was nothing sensual about the smile that brightened his features. It was small, genuine, rare... sheepish even, and he was thankful when she turned to leave, allowing him to work on trying to hide the smallest of blushes that reddened his cheeks to the same tint as his hair. "Yes... we shall see what the future holds. G-good evening."
What had just happened, he pondered to himself... not that it wasn't unpleasant, but he wasn't sure what to think. He didn't usually have encounters like that, and he found himself rather liking them, even when he suspected it would not happen again. Or maybe it would... only time could tell.

Giving Buddy one more final nod, she just walks out of the park. The whole time she was lost in her own thoughts as she thought over what Buddy said to her, as well as how she felt. One thing was for sure, she knew that she walked away feeling different about at least one officer of the Negaverse.
Placing her hand over her brooch, she gives it a small squeeze. She didn't power down, it was more of a need to know she had power.
With a small sigh, she finally takes off running only to leap up onto a building.
Streets were too busy, and at least she be able to get home quicker.
