Adina Reindheart  The prince ignored Klaus and pulled his wrist from the other's grasp. "You have no right to touch me, and where I go is my own business." He said glaring at the other man for a moment before he continued to walk away. Eventually, Adina was out of the palace and heading to the house of a noble. He didn't leave his own palace often but this man had wanted to show him something so he decided it was worth his troubles. Yes, Adina figured he knew what the man was planning on doing, but he wanted a bit of excitement at the moment.

 Klaus Leben Klaus growled and chased after the kid. He had lost him for awhile, but eventually found him on the streets. Seeing he was heading for a noble's house, the soldier clenched his fists and stormed up to him. He cut the teen off and raised his hand, only to slap him hard across the face. The citizens stopped, stunned speechless. "If you think I'm going to let you get away with everything like your stupid parents do, then you're wrong. You will turn around, right now, and return to the palace with me. If you don't, I will use force." As he spoke, he produced a sleep dart from his bolt pouch and armed his wrist bow with it, though his hands were hidden behind his back. For extra measure, he drew his sword and held it at the prince. "Prince Adina, as your knight, I will take any measure necessary to protect you so you can grow to be king. If that means I have to cause physical harm to you, so be it. I will not hesitate."

Adina Reindheart Adina glared at the taller male clearly not happy with him. The man had actually hit him! He couldn't believe that. "How dare you! I could have you lose your hand for such an act against me!" Adina made it clear he wasn't going to go back just because the man hit him or threatened him. "As the prince I can go where I like and you have no rightto decide where that is or who I visit." He wasn't going to back down knowing that the man couldn't actually hurt him without risking his own life. This made him smile slightly

Klaus Leben Klaus frowned. "Aw, did the prince not like that. Never been challenged before? Poor kid." The foreigner shot his hand up and gripped the back of his neck. "I'm allowed to turn you into a woman if I think it's necessary. That's the kind of rights your mother gave to me when she made me your personal guard. Now, turn and march home. I would prefer not to hurt you."

Adina Reindheart Adina looked shocked as the man spoke to him. His mother would never give the man such right! "I don't believe you. She would never do such a thing I'm the only one who can produce the next heir!" There was no way that he would be made into a woman. He wasn't sure he wanted to press his luck. He decided he could trick Klaus into letting him go to the noble at some point. When he turned Adina looked total men he knew well enough making a beeline for them hoping this would work. Adina ended up walking between the two men and the closed the space between them attempting to block Klaus. Sure they were not trained fighters but they would slow the other down.

Klaus Leben Klaus shrugged. It was the rights she gave him. When Adina turned and then ran, he wasn't even phased. He expected as much. "Idiot." Klaus raised his arm and aimed, firing the sleep dart. It hit Adina's shoulder just before he disappeared behind the men, and then he drew his sword. The men tried to stop him, but he ended up slicing their legs, knocking him down. That kid was going to get beat. He didn't care if he was beaten for it afterwards.the gothic beauty 2 Yes, I just power-played. He's annoying the ******** out of me and I'm horrible at battle scenes.

Adina Reindheart Adina felt pain in his shoulder before he ended up passing out. He had been drugged by the other man and he knew it. By the time he was awake again he was looking at a familiar ceiling. So Klaus brought him back to the palace, probably saying that he had been attacked so the guards wouldn't say anything about the prince being passed out. ((it's okay I'm bad at them too.))

Klaus Leben Klaus had found Adina and carried him back to the palace. The guards saw him. He didn't say a word to them, and just walked to the prince's chamber. He set the kid down, and then the guards decided to teach him a lesson. When he returned, he was pretty bloody. Looking at Adina, he glared at him before going to the kid's washroom to clean up. His stomach hurt a lot. It could have been worse, but nine years in prison pretty much left him immune to certain pains. "Those men who tried to protect you won't be walking again. At least they'll have their lives, assuming they don't off themselves. In either case, their blood is on your hands. If you hadn't tried to trick me, they wouldn't have been injured." Klaus wiped the blood off his face, fully aware he was using Adina's bath robe as a towel. "And, my blood is on your robe." Walking out of the washroom, Klaus went over to Adina and gripped his neck, forcing him back onto the bed. "You really piss me off. I haven't felt this close to bloodlust since my last year at military training, and that's a horrible amount of rage. If you want to live long enough to be king, you will never do something like that again, and you will listen to me. Do you understand? I will not be treated like a warning to stay out of the cookie jar."

Adina Reindheart Adina looked at the male for a moment seeing that the guards had done something about Klaus bringing him back unconscious. He didn't like hearing that two men he had fun with would no longer walk but at the same time their usefulness ended at that moment. What bothered him was the blood on his robe. "That was expensive silk! It was your choice to drug me to bring me back I don't see why you had to do that." He said unhappily. Hearing that he pissed the other off he was a bit surprised. No one said anything like that to him. Having the other's hand around his neck didn't help him either. This was the first time he felt fear and he shrank back after a moment. Looking up at the other and shaking slightly. After a moment the prince nodded his head surprising himself.

Klaus Leben Klaus let go of Adina's neck when he nodded. "Good...." Standing again, Klaus held his arm across his stomach, clearly supressing the pain, and he went over to sit on the sofa. "When I was a kid, I heard stories that your kingdom was heaven. Back then, before your parents took the throne, the line between wealthy and poor was slim. No one cared if you were poor or rich; you were judged by your character. I would always tell my little brother that one day we'd come here and live away from the caste system....Too bad it's no different here than it is back home. No one gives a damn about some peasant kid that goes missing and turns up a month later dead, but all hell breaks loose when some old noble croaks in their sleep." He glared up at Adina. "I really hate your people. The ones that laugh at the less fortunate. The ones that get everything and leave nothing for others."

Adina Reindheart Adina had no idea that was what was happening in his homeland. Sure he knew that there was always a bit commotion whenever a noble died, but that was because the nobles were all the capital was about. He didn't know of the caste system but then again he really didn't care before either. Looking at Klaus he let out a small sigh and rang a bell. A maid came in and he told her to get one of the palace doctors. She nodded and ran off thinking the prince was the one that was hurt. "Next time, the guards wont do something so rash. You are my protector so you need to be at full health."

Klaus Leben Klaus watched as the maid ran off, clearly concerned for the healthy prince than the man practically writhing on the sofa. "Why the change of heart, O honored prince?" The maid returned rather quickly with the palace doctor, and he was pointed to Klaus. The doctor came over to tend to him. Klaus would have pushed him away, told him he didn't need his help, but he could tell the guy came from a poor family. Maybe it was that one little thing that made Klaus tolerate the man's presence. When he was done, Klaus thanked him and watched him leave. "...Seriously. Why'd you suddenly change your tone with me? Don't tell me you have a soft spot for sob stories."

Adina Reindheart Adina looked at the male for a moment turning away when asked why he had Klaus looked at. "It was for my own gain. If your hurt you cant very well protect me now can you?" He said thought the real reason he did it he didn't know. He just knew that there was something different abut Klaus maybe it was that the man was able to get him to obey a small order. He wasn't sure. Adina would make sure that the doctor would get a decent pay for what he did for the prince before he looked back at Klaus. "You have a little brother? You must miss him." He wished he had a sibling if only so he wasn't so alone.

Klaus Leben Klaus looked at Adina. "You don't want me to protect me. I'm pretty sure you want me gone. But, whatever." He stood slowly, wincing a bit. Adina brought up his brother and his eyes darkened. "Every second of every day. He was sixteen when I last saw him." Klaus shut down after speaking. He wasn't going to say anymore on the subject. Not now, anyway, and not to Adina. There was a knock on the door and a guard opened it, though he didn't step inside. "It's time for Prince Adina to head down for dinner. Klaus, you'll join the rest of the guard in the guard's quarters for dinner." "Yes, sir...." The guard left and Klaus picked up his sword, belting it to his waist. He wasn't interested in carrying around extra weight. The sword would suffice. "Let's go. I'm taking you to the dining hall before I go and join them."

Adina Reindheart Hearing about the other's brother and how he reacted he looked down. So he hadn't seen his brother for a long time, he wondered how the man felt, and soon saw the other was upset about it. So no talking about his family, that made sense, he didn't see his family since his capture. As a guard spoke about dinner Adina got up and brushed off his clothing before walking out of his room and then to the dining hall. It didn't take long for his parents to get called away and he was sitting alone once more. The prince picked at his food for a few moments before sighing and getting up. He told a maid to tell Klaus he was in the gardens if the man went looking for him. Adina walked through his private garden and looked at the roses. He took great care of the flowers here, not letting anyone else touch them, it was rare for him to let anyone else even in his gardens as this was the only place he really had peace. As he walked along the path he thought about how it would be if he hadn't been born as a prince. Would he be like Klaus or any of the other peasants that lived in his kingdom?
