鶴∙["It's nice out here;" it was quiet and cool out so it was a good place to take a break. He was luckily able to find somewhere to sit. He sat down, the plate with snacks on his lap. He made sure to leave space for Chand to sit down as well. His friend was carrying a lot. He took off his blazer and rested it beside him before he picked up another snack to eat.]∙鶴

Chand Orion mask"Indeed it is" Chand said agreeing with his friend and breathing in the fresh cool air of the courtyard. He followed Scarlet then sat in the space that his friend generously saved for him. "How are the snacks to you?" he asked before trying two at a time from his plate.

鶴∙["They're pretty good," he answered. They were snacks so they weren't supposed to be amazing or anything. Scarlet wasn't crazy about sweets either so he wasn't picky about them. Just as long as they weren't too sweet or tasted weird. Of course some of them had salty to counter it. He liked salty more than sweet. "What do you think?" he asked once Chand started trying them. Chand didn't really seem like the picky type based on what he said before when they were at the cafeteria.]∙鶴

Chand Orion mask"That's good. I do recall you saying you like salt more than sweet" Chand said recalling the conversation of when he was comforting Scarlet for the first time. He eats couple more from his plate then takes a sip from his mixed drink. "Neutral, sort of in the middle. Can't decide which is better because taste all good to me" he responded. "Heard about them talking about a new school chef coming soon back when we were in the main hall" he said to Scarlet in case he didn't hear the news.

鶴∙["Yeah, that's true. I was just in the mood for this," he replied. Though now he did wish he got something really salty for after he had all these sweets. It was good that Chand enjoyed how his snacks tasted though he couldn't really pick a favorite. "You don't have to pick a favorite. You can just enjoy them for their individual taste;" of course if he did find one that he liked more, that would be great. Scarlet was interested when he brought up the new chef. He missed out on hearing it. He was curious what happened to the one before. "I hope they're good because I'll have to eat what they make;" the school would probably make sure that they were. ]∙鶴

Chand Orion mask"You can have some of my salty foods if you want" Chand offered. He gulps down some of his drink felt a little tipsy and figured he must have mixed in something with alcohol in it by mistake. "That's the problem with my taste buds. There is no individual taste for solid vs. solid or liquid vs. liquid" he honestly then he nodded in agreement to what Scarlet said next. "I think Zalmon and Trent should have arrived by now" he said to Scarlet thinking enough time has past for them to arrive to the masquerade party.

鶴∙[Scarlet considered his offer for a moment; "It's fine. I can always go back and get something else." Chand could just enjoy his snacks. He thought about what he said about his taste buds; "Well, I wouldn't say there's a problem with them. I mean, people's sense of taste can change." Scarlet didn't really think it was taste but more that it was just in Chand's character. If his senses did change, it might push him towards one direction.
Ah, so Zalmon was going to attend with his partner? He wondered if this was what they called twin telepathy... or triplet telepathy. "Do you want to look for them?" he asked. It sounded like he wanted to. He wasn't really sure where to start. Chand knew his brother better so he'd have a better idea. ]∙鶴

Chand Orion mask"Not with mine tastes. Sometimes I eat once or twice a day the most like today" Chand responded then bit into one of his remaining snacks. He drank some more of his drink and tries to make he doesn't like he was halfway there to be looking drunk. He shakes his head, "I'm sure we will encounter them when we return indoors" he answered. He causes a breeze to come in his direction to cool himself off by using his wind manipulation.

鶴∙[Scarlet only had two snacks left by this point. "Eh? Why would you eat less?" he didn't expect him to eat less. "Well, I trust you'll take care of your health;" he wouldn't shove it down his throat. It was up to Chand. He was curious when he used his powers to cool himself off. It was pretty cool outside already. Not to mention he wore lighter clothing than Scarlet. Something was off. "Are you feeling fine?" he asked. He was watching him a bit closely. He wanted to make sure he was fine before they went anywhere. ]∙鶴

Chand Orion mask"Not by choice. Getting over being mildly depressed for so long" Chand admits to being depressed for the first time. He doesn't like to talk about problems, but since he already tipsy he is practically opening up about that secret. "I don't have a fever if that is what the question is implying" he answered thinking using his wind manipulation may tip Scarlet off of his current condition. He wished he wasn't such a lightweight when it comes to alcohol because he doesn't want to give up his drink.

鶴∙["That makes sense;" Scarlet had assumed he was depressed from what happened at the lake and the cemetery. Though he wasn't aware of how long it had been going on or if it was still a problem or not.
"That wasn't a yes;" Chand was both avoiding telling him the whole truth and lying to him. He believed Chand about it not being a fever. Based on process of elimination, he could only think of one explanation.
Scarlet finished his snacks and got up. He slid on his blazer to get ready to go; "Let's go inside to look for your brother." Scarlet smiled at him. If this is what he wanted to do, then he'd let him do it. "Oh, by the way, would you like to stay over at my dorm tonight?" he asked.]∙鶴

Chand Orion maskChand finishes off what snacks are left, "I will be fine" he assures him. He was going to drink some more then stops when Scarlet gets up and says for them to head back inside to look for Zalmon. Which means he shouldn't drink anymore unless he wants his brother find out that he is just a couple of sips away from being a complete drunk and Scarlet would find out through him. He was surprised by the invitation to Scarlet's dorm and he thought he would never be asked that question. "Are you sure? No one's ever invited me to their dorm before" he responded giving Scarlet a chance to change his mind if he needed to.

鶴∙["Of course since you're not sick;" Scarlet decided to not push him to say anything though he wasn't going to drop it. It put him in a sour mood which made him smile all the more. The reason for his mood could be seen as childish.
He continued to smile; "Of course I'm sure. I extended the invitation after thinking it through. I wouldn't say anything if I had a reason to doubt my choice." It was a pretty easy decision. "You can pick up your stuff at your room or you can borrow some of my things," Chand couldn't go to sleep in what he was currently wearing.]∙鶴
