Alvin returned to his room and grabbed some things to fool his father into actually thinking he was going for an assignment. Camera, notebook, pens. He'd have to actually check out some things from the library, but he could manage.

Walking into the room, Aiden raised an eyebrow. "I'm not that foolish. You can have it as is." After tossing the fish into the tank through a hole that was too small for Valentina or even for a tuna fish, Aiden picked up the phone to call one of his drivers. "Alfred is going to Arendale tomorrow for a school assignment. Can you drive him there and back?...Thank you. Oh, and make sure you keep an eye on him. I don't want him wandering around unattended." Hanging up, Aiden sat on his chair and sighed. He didn't like this at all. What were the chances of it happening? Apparently not slim enough. He picked up the phone again for some business calls. He would worry about Alvin's trip later.

After packing his bag, Alvin thought. Should he tell her he was going to go and actually talk her father? That would be risky. His father was in the office and would be there for awhile doing work. He could use the window, but if his father was looking at the tank, he'd be caught. No. His best chance was to just do it and come back as fast as he could.

Having relaxed to calm his nerves, since he felt like he was getting ready to pull a bank heist, Alvin's mind was open. He jumped when he heard someone talking to him, and even fell of his bed. "Ow. Well....Found my second controller...." So, the mermaid--or, Tina--could use telepathy. Well....It wasn't as surprising as it should be. She was a mermaid. "I figured that. Don't worry. I'll be fine....Vampire? Great....So, I have to worry about an angry vampire. As if I wasn't nervous enough...." Sal? She had two fathers? Tina didn't seem like the type that was adopted. Was it a surrogate birth, or did she call this Sal "mother" because he actually gave birth? If he was a merman, then it wouldn't be too weird. Right? Who the heck was Arianna? This was complicated. "So, your name's Tina? Or, is that a nickname?"

Valentina. That was a unique name, and was quite fitting for someone so stunning. "Ha....Right. When I think of something, I'll let you know....Should I wish you goodnight, or would that be too weird?" For someone who had never talked to a girl, he was doing a pretty good job.

Nocturnal. Half-vampire. Made sense. Turning on his side, Alvin sighed. He had no problem bringing Valentina's parents here, but he had a problem with the fact that her father was probably going to kill his. He didn't want to have to live with that sort of guilt, or attend another funeral. Could she convince Vladimir to not kill him? He could worry about that later, but he was worrying about it now.

His night was restless. He did not sleep well at all. But, he was still going to Arendale. Grabbing his things, he was seen off by his father. The drive to his destination, as expected, took all day. And, he couldn't even bring himself to nap on the way. He was too nervous. The driver thought it was because Alvin had never been passed town limits, but that was because he didn't know Alvin was pulling off the biggest heist in his life. Sneaking cookies after midnight as a kid had nothing on this.

It was just before evening. Alvin got in some time to look through the library for his supposed research material, but the moment he got his chance to slip away, he took it. When he was outside, he spotted the famed castle and quickly made his way to it before his father's watchdog could come after him. The castle was actually pretty cool. He could see the large tank that ran into the ocean. There was no shortage of space for Tina and her...mother? As he neared the gate, he saw someone in what looked like a kimono walking around in a panicked nature. Probably Tina's mer-father. Yeah. That was a good term. As he approached the gate, the male turned to Alvin and watched him. "Um, hello. I....Are you...." Oh, God. What did he say here? He never thought it through. "...Valentina. I know where Valentina is." "My daughter? You know where my daughter is?" More telepathy. Great. "I....Yes." This was hard. The guy had nothing but hope in his eyes. Thank the heavens he wasn't delivering bad news. The gate opened and he was pulled in by the older male. Oh, God. What the hell was going on? He wasn't taking him inside, was he!?

Alvin winced when be was slammed against the wall. People thought human dads were terrifying when their kids went missing? Clearly, they've never seen a vampire under the same stress. "I--" "Vladimir, let him go right now! Assaulting someone no older than Tina isn't going to bring her back any sooner!" Was that meant to be public, or was the merman just really stressed? Probably just stressed. For Alvin's sake, he hoped that the other had his husband wrapped around his little finger. The merman grabbed Vladimir's arm gently and pulled a bit. He wasn't the forceful type, was he?

Alvin sighed. No one trusted him. The vampire could have a little faith. "...Arabor. She's in Arabor. I saw her...through the window yesterday." Alvin tensed when his hand was taken in both of Sal's, who immediately hugged him afterwards. This was uncomfortable for him. He'd never been hugged by a stranger before. "Thank you. Thank you so much....Can you tell us what house she's in? Do you know anything about the people who have her?" He gave a nervous smile to Sal before looking up at Vlad, who looked both angry and....Was that a hint of jealous possession? Oh, God. "It's just one person....He's not going to hurt her. He's not the kind of guy who would keep...damaged treasures around. And, he's not a pervert either. I can show you the house tomorrow. I....I'm not good with directions, and I've only ever walked to the mall and to my classes. Sorry....I have a strict schedule. Never had time to actually get used to the whole town." "It's okay. Tina's strong, and smart. She'll be fine....Y-You know a lot about this man. Do you know him?" Alvin looked down. He didn't know whether to be honest or not. He wanted to be, but he was scared of what Vladimir would do if he knew who he was. Terrified, actually. "I used to get piano lessons from his wife before she died, and I know his son. He's not a...horrible guy. I guess he just has the wrong hobby."

The teen's heart skipped a beat. If he continued with this lie, Vlad was going to kill him. Yet, he'd die if he told the truth. Eyes shifting to Sal, Alvin gave a sigh. "I was hoping this topic wouldn't be brought up. Look, I want you to know that I had no idea he was doing this sort of thing. If I did, I would have done something about it a long time ago. He was always obsessed with rare things, sure, but I didn't know it went this far." He looked down. There was a part of him that hoped this was just some weird, twisted dream. That he'd wake up and his dad was just a quirky guy who had a thing for antique pottery and things like that. "...Please, don't hurt me. I came here because I know that what he's doing is wrong. I didn't come here for a reward or to blackmail you or whatever." Alvin sort of shrunk back, just waiting to be attacked. "...I've always been against punishing the child for the parent's crime. It's wrong. Right, Vladimir?" Sal's tone turned serious as he spoke to his husband. Somehow, Alvin doubted that Vladimir would just let this slide. He'd probably find some reason to at least hit him.
